10/15 - 165.7 lbs Damn! Went clothes shopping with my mom today, and it was waaay better with her help. Picked out a lot of new clothes that actually compliments my body. Feels soo good to buy new clothes. I wasn't that good with my calories today. I ate a chicken/bacon salad for lunch at a restaurant, and I have no idea how many calories it had.. But I ditched dinner, because I'm still feeling full after that huge salad. I didn't eat the crutons, so that helps a bit I guess haha! But that salad def contained a lot of calories. Was delicious though. She wanted to buy me lunch since my birthday was yesterday, so it's all good
10/16 - 165.7 (—) No change! I’m good with that 😃 Happy I didn’t bump up since I have no idea how many calories my lunch had yesterday. I went to the gym yesterday, but today is a netflix kind of day 😂 I think I’m coming down with something, so I’ll go to the gym tomorrow instead (if I feel better).
10/17 - 165.1 (-0.6) Great! I’ve lost 2 lbs / 1kg in 7 days 😃 Hope this losing streak lasts all the way to my goal! Heading to the gym today, feeling better.
10/18 - 165.1 (—) No change today, and that is fine. I’m happy to get this number confirmed two days in a row Have a great day everyone!
10/19 - 164.6 (-0.5) Great! Headed to the gym soon. Haven’t exercised that much this week, since I’ve been in kind of a weird shape. Feeling a bit guilty that I skipped my exercises monday and tuesday.
10/20 - 165.1 (+0.5) Totally expected. Ate 30g more carbs than I use to (100g carbs, but same calorie intake), and that always bumps up my weight a bit This will go away when I stick to my carb goal again. I'm not sure how my day will look like today carb wise, but I'll try to not eat over 80g atleast.

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for two rounds. Round 53 was my 50 birthday celebrations that upped my weight for a few days.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

🍁10/15🍃 150.8 this weekend was a wash. I managed to stay under calories but the food choices were a bit questionable and I managed to work out but not like I had been during the week before I got sick. I am feeling better today but still have a dry cough which is just as bad as a stuffy nose. Hoping to get back into my routine today. Regardless a loss is a loss and I hope it stays that way

🍃10/19🍁 149.4 Had another super hungry day yesterday but I got in exercise (even though I ate almost all my exercise calories, which is rare) and drank 2 liters of water. I am so happy to officially say I'm in the 40s Wooot!! I put on a pair of pants that used to be tight on me and use to have that double bubble look but now they are so big, they are falling off..I am so happy about this, it's exciting.

I will just have to mindful about what I eat. Yesterday was a crazy work out day and i had 2 liters of water. Today is girls days with my MIL and SILs, were are going to the movies and I already know that I won't have to worry about the popcorn but the treats on the other hand...might be a little more difficult. Been having cravings for chocolate and I am trying to ignore them and replace those cravings with real food...which has worked so far. My TOM is next weekend so after watching that video @MultoMundoMonkey posted, I am going to start paying attention to cravings and try to have less carbs during this time frame. I'm glad I watched that video, it will now make me feel a little more in control and know what to expect

10/16 – 175.4 …..No movement despite careful planning. If I plateau I hope it will not be on a bad number, but rather on a better one!
10/17 - 175.4…..holding steady. Unexpected travel tomorrow for a couple of days to help a family member in need. I’m not sure exactly which day I will be returning. I will be gone at least 2 nights and 3 days. I will log daily and try to read posts but will not be weighing.

10/19 - …..Away from home, no weigh. My brother is doing a bit better after surgery. I hope to be home sometime tomorrow. We shall see. The last 2 days have been higher carb and calorie, but I’ve tried really hard to watch my portion sizes. We have ordered a lot of carry out to stay at home with him. Wow. Such delicious choices in this big city. No exercise or walking, unfortunately, but I’ll get back to what I can do when I get home. I dread the long drive home and the weight scale that awaits me. But I loved seeing my DB and DSIL again. It’s been nearly a year. My SIL is a nurse and will be able to take good care of him. She just needed my help for the first few days. Poor guy.

10/15- 184.2- good thing this went back down. Weekend didn't go as well as it could have to be honest but I packed a really healthy lunch today and the day has been good so far! Will go to the gym to workout later in the day after my class. I'm a little behind on biochemistry due to my biology exam last week so will be catching up on that today until class starts.
10/16- 184.4- Not upset over this. I think it will be better tomorrow. I worked out yesterday. Won't be able to today. Have a lot of studying to do today.
10/17- 184.0- Yay. Hopefully I'll be 183.something tomorrow? I've been eating on the higher range of my calorie goal this past week so I'm going to try to eat on the lower side today and get a bunch studying done. So far so good.

10/15 – 161.9 - Early to the gym today as hubby needed the car so posting late. Sure feels good to have worked the muscles a bit.
10/16 - 162 – Argh, the last few weeks coming home to roost. Having fed the cravings monster faithfully, now have to beat it back and kick it out. Listened to Youtube last night and someone made an aside comment about the theory that what we eat promotes certain bacteria in our gut so if we eat lots of sugar/carbs we will crave that because that is what our gut bacteria now want.
10/17 - 161.4 Gym today. Got some apples in the house again. They are so good at this time of year and keep me from other desserts/snacks.

10/19 - 160.8 – Good day yesterday. Still a little over cals. but not with sugar/fat. Got a few things done that have been sitting there forever it seems. One was so fast I can’t believe I procrastinated on it so long. The other is slow, as I guessed it would be, but at least I can see it chipping away.
10/20 - 162 – Sigh, LNS again, at least not too bad on the calories. Have to wonder why what seems so self-sabotaging in the morning can seem so reasonable at night. 10/16--220.4 I'm back from my vacation! Considering how little water I drank and the amount of food I ate during my 10 day vacation I am estatic that my scale showed an increase of less than 5 lbs. Of course when I attempted to weigh my food this morning on my food scale the scale showed a low battery so I couldn't weigh my food. I have the day off today, so this morning is a massage, I need it from all of the walking I did on the trip, and possibly Zumba later tonight. I will probably take the dog out for a longer walk this afternoon since it is going to be a great sunny fall day today.
10/17--220.6 Tired. I also feel like I have a cold coming on. I am very glad that I was able to get right back to my food logging after my trip. Goal today is to get my water in.
10/18--220.9 Don't know why the scale is going up I can only think that it is due to my body trying to fight this cold off and post vacation eating fluctations. Slept for 9 hours last night and could have slept for more. I will just stay focused with my eating and stay hydrated. Yoga tonight.
10/19--220.6 Yoga was great last night. I decided to take advantage of the free pass at the gym, so I went there after yoga. Lifted some weighs and swung some kettlebells. Gym was really nice and there was no hard sell to buy a membership. I have two more free visits. It was nice to wake up a little sore this morning. Still a little tired, but I think I have stopped the cold. Working on my water again today.
10/20--220.2 Still tired, still not feeling 100%. Was thinking about going to see a movie tonight, but will probably stay home and just rest. Working on water today.
10/21--220.2. Still holding steady. I have been expecting to see a drop, but it hasn't happened yet, so I'm just going to keep doing what I have to do and wait for the scale to follow. Feeling more rested...already went to the gym this morning and did some weightlifting. Going out for lunch today.

10/17 - 149 - I'm having lunch with a client today, so I'm glad I'm down a little more. He's taking me to a private restaurant at his club, so there is no online menu for me to pre-plan my meal. Nine months ago I wouldn't have though twice about it. Now, I'm going to take the advice that I've learned here and make the best choices I can to mitigate the damages for tomorrow's weigh in.
10/18 - 148 - Surprise! I ordered the baked cod for my business lunch yesterday (it would not have been my choice earlier this year) and this morning I'm happy I did.
10/19 - 148 - I fully expected a bounce back this morning as that is usually what happens after a new low. This is a nice weight to go into the weekend for me.
10/20 - 147.5 - Wow, I had a piece of pizza last night and expected the sodium to bump me up. It will probably hit tomorrow. I will say that having just adopted our new dog last week, my steps have definitely gone up. If I think about it, my weight loss started slowing too when our old dog died in July. I've read before how a dog helps people stay fit, it just never occurred to me that our previous dog probably kept me from gaining even more weight.

10/15 182 trying to get motivated to workout this morning!
10/16 I didn’t workout yesterday and didn’t weigh in this morning. I haven’t been feeling well since the weekend so I’m just focusing on eating healthy and staying close to calories. Hopefully I’ll feel better by tonight for my workout!
10/17 183.3 up 1.3 lbs. and I’m not surprised. I hadn’t been feeling well, so was not as active as I usually am, I ate at maintenance yesterday and had two pieces of Halloween candy. Ugh. But today I am feeling back to 100% and had a great workout this morning, and I’m back to my regular healthy eating.
10/19 182 back down, whew! I was worried. I have a busy day today so will keep my calories low. Today is my rest day so I’m not working out today. Hardest thing is the Halloween candy that is invading my house!! My plan is that instead of candy I’ve made a list of ‘things to do’ around the house, for example - I cleaned out the pantry yesterday, next is storing my summer sandals and getting out all of my booties. Gonna feel so good!
10/20 181 and I cant even believe it! I ate two small slices of previously frozen pizza plus a salad last night for dinner, then had a glass of apple cider (at an event later) and I thought just that - and only that - would do me in. Usually this is how it works for me. Maybe all the super low cal stuff I did for the past two weeks has jump started my metabolism. Also perhaps I think that my lymph system doesn’t work any longer. I have been doing some self massage and maybe that’s making it all flow better. Whatever it is that’s now working, I’ll take it! But I would like to know for the future me. So, I guess the story and experiment continues!10 -

I was on a 3 day/2 night trip- ate 1 meal out each day (which I never do) & tracked all, walked over 37K steps. Lost 0.2lbs. I’m thrilled. The other trip we took, I gained & was hungry all the time. Pleased this one worked out!
10/16 157.0 BMI=23.5!!!! Lowest Weight Yet!!!
This is a Huge day for me!!
On the day of my fall & arm break, my weight was 157.8. Immediately after, it went to 161, and after surgery, it immediately went up to 165.8. All Along, despite being hugely disappointed with the weight gain, I kept walking/exercising and tracking all of my food carefully. I hope it was just water.
Today was my Reward.
Only 7 pounds to my Final Goal Weight!!

10/15: 196.2 -- what? This is the highest weight that I've seen in a while and it is super discouraging. I've been logging religiously and working out- I guess I've got to lower my calories.
10/16: no weight, work travel
10/17: no weight, work travel
10/18: 196.2 -- STILL. I guess this isn't surprising. I was very sedentary the last few days and the work trip came with lots of eating events. I am bummed though because I was hoping the 196 number was a fluke. I guess I need to own it. Today my goal is to stick within my calorie range and show a big deficit. I also want to get my body movin'!
10/19: 194.2 -- this seems a little back to normal. I did pretty good with my food yesterday but my portion sizes were a bit too large last night at dinner. I did make it to lunchtime spin class which was a feat given my crazy schedule yesterday. Today is Friday and I've got a super healthy lunch packed. Planning to hit the gym at lunch- or maybe head outside for a run if the sun comes out. I've had a long week at work and I'm looking forward to the weekend.
10/20: 193.6 -- Yay it's Saturday! It's beautiful weather, and I'm headed to a great afternoon party at a friend's farm this afternoon. Weight down a little. Yesterday I ran for 2 miles after work even though I did not feel like it AT ALL. I kept trying to talk myself out of it. Why do we do that to ourselves? Anyway, today I plan to get in a strength workout before heading to the party.

Exercise goal: 3 of 7 days (horse back riding, spin class, and running)13 -
Round 7 for me. I've not been consistent and dropped out in round 5 and messed up in round 6. This has resulted in a 2 pound gain, but to be honest, I needed to give the scale a break as it was making me more depressed than helping me focus. Anyway, I'm back with a refreshed mind and a fighting spirit. Goal to get to 190lbs this round.

10/16 195lbs ...so disappointed, but I'm hoping that is it all the water that I've been drinking and the fact that I did a kettle bar routine and my muscles are recovering... oh well all I can do is keep on trying
10/17 197lbs ... my scale must be broken .. 4lbs gain in two days !!!! Hopefully, I'll start losing again. Still exercising and chugging the water. Refuse to let this get me down, just hope my body starts adjusting
10/18 195.5lbs ... finally, a good change
