RECIPES😀
*Aloe Hair Spritz*
16 oz spray bottle
The only exact measurements I use is aloe vera gel- 12ozs and water 4ozs.
~Aloe vera gel
~Distilled or purified water
~Lavender essential oil
~Msm liquid or powdered
~Rosewater
~Pure Vitamin E oil
~Jojoba Oil*
~Argan oil*
*added oils for winter
**If oils weigh down your hair don't add them or just use a couple of drops. The spritz is still beneficial to scalp and hair without them. Do add the Vitamin E oil that is good for scalp health and is a light preservative. I keep mine on my bathroom sink, because I go through it quickly. It can be refrigerated if you choose.
I have not tried this recipe yet, but I will as soon as grapefruits are available. I have used mint and a combination of citrus slices though.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/15 – 161.9 - Early to the gym today as hubby needed the car so posting late. Sure feels good to have worked the muscles a bit.
10/16 - 162 – Argh, the last few weeks coming home to roost. Having fed the cravings monster faithfully, now have to beat it back and kick it out. Listened to Youtube last night and someone made an aside comment about the theory that what we eat promotes certain bacteria in our gut so if we eat lots of sugar/carbs we will crave that because that is what our gut bacteria now want.
10/17 - 161.4 - Gym today. Got some apples in the house again. They are so good at this time of year and keep me from other desserts/snacks.

10/15 - Monday - 183.4 - Birthday celebrations increase - to be expected. Gave myself some grace this weekend and getting back at it today!
10/16 - Tuesday - 184.2 - Did NOT get back at it yesterday. Mom wanted pasta and any excuse is a good excuse for pasta to me. Then I continued the gluttony with a brownie after dinner that made my tummy hurt. And now I am REALLY getting back to it today. Had smoothie, fish oil and took meds already this morning. Going to prelog the day and make it a good one, no matter what I eat - I will eat the correct portion size.
10/17 - Wednesday - 184.0 - House guest kindly bought us pizza for dinner as a thank you last night - I had no self control and ate 3 pieces and was hungrier after so I kept eating like the hungry caterpillar. Oh well moving on! Missed my morning goals to trade for extra snuggle time. If I've learned anything so far - its that I just gotta keep trying, despite the trips, stumbles, and falls!

I've never shopped there before because I guess I assumed they wouldn't have my size. They did a fitting and the size gave me a surprise! I thought oh my gosh have I been buying the wrong size all along? Does anyone know? Are their cup sizes different? Anyway, I felt so confident and happy in a bra that actually fit me right! It makes such a difference! For the first time in a long time I was happy with what I saw in the mirror! Such a good feeling!
Exercise 2/6 is complete!
@MyEvolvingJourney Proper fit is very important, especially when when your body changes. 10 lbs of fat loss puts me in the next smaller band size and in between cup sizes.
As for VS sizing, it's been my observation their sizing is a bit off to other brands. The band sizing is a bit more generous and the cup sizing is a bit smaller. Example: My VS size 32DDD (ridiculous) Other brands' size 32DD - 34D dependent upon how much stretch the band has and style (demi, full coverage, etc...)4 -
@MyEvolvingJourney Yeah, I'm trying to lose, but I cannot trust my body or scale. I hope I go down through this weight.
@lolakinks I'm curious as to why you can't trust your body or scale? The scale is one type of tool for measuring change. Fat loss is a downward trend which can be seen over time via changes in body measurements, fit of clothing, and long term tracking of the readings obtained from the scale.
@wellnfree I have an apple every work day. Helps satisfy my need for crunch.3 -

Hello everyone! I am back and ready to give this another whirl. If there is one thing I've learned on this journey is that progress is not always linear and speed bumps are always apart of the road! With that being said... I am excited for this challenge as I am hoping it will help me get focused.
Starting Weight: 237.8 (this round)
Goal End Weight: 233.0 (This seems like a lot but I am certain I have acquired a lot of bloat from a weekend of drinking and going out with friends).
Day/Weight/Comment
10/15: 237.8. This weekend was filled with all the things I love: good company, good food, and good drinks. I overdid it and did not try to measure or stop myself, hence this increase from my last recorded weight (233ish). I am working on incorporating small activity at least 3 days a week and starting small. Going back to tracking everything as that has always been helpful. Wish me luck everyone!

10/15 182 trying to get motivated to workout this morning!
10/16 I didn’t workout yesterday and didn’t weigh in this morning. I haven’t been feeling well since the weekend so I’m just focusing on eating healthy and staying close to calories. Hopefully I’ll feel better by tonight for my workout!
10/17 183.3 up 1.3 lbs. and I’m not surprised. I hadn’t been feeling well, so was not as active as I usually am, I ate at maintenance yesterday and had two pieces of Halloween candy. Ugh. But today I am feeling back to 100% and had a great workout this morning, and I’m back to my regular healthy eating.9 -
I like this challenge. I'm starting a couple days late but will make sure to post daily.
10/15--- not sure because I did not weigh myself on this day
10/16--- 296.8 I know this because Tuesday's are my weigh in days for another challenge

10/16 147.8 It's a meeting day, so I have to go in prepared. Some of you post you TOMs. Why is that? Does your weight fluctuate?
10/17 149.4 I gorged on vegetables before my meeting so I wouldn't be tempted with the chips and chocolates. I resisted!!!! yay me! My anxiety was up, but I resisted. I did go over on my calories a little bit and had a lot of salt. I can bring this down by drinking lots of water when I get home. I can't drink at work.

ROUND 56 (Round 3 for me)
5’5” 65 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 140 lb.
Third week on Keto WOE and impressed with decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain. Yay!
Round 54 – SW 178 lb. down to 171.8 lb. (6.2 lb. loss) This was my beginning of eating keto and tracking calories.
Round 55 – Finished at 170.0 (1.8 lb. loss)
Day/Weight/Comment
10/15 169.2 This is the number I wanted to see yesterday, but today’s good, too. It was raining when I woke up for my walk with Thor (my GSD). So, we slept another 1½ hours, and it was still raining. I’ll have to exercise inside today. Thor can run in the yard, and I’ll dry him off. I’m happy I mowed my yard and burned my brush piles before the rain started. I'd rather work outside, but I'll bake oatmeal cookies for my thin husband, cook Turkey Cabbage Stew to portion out and freeze, and do my husband's ironing so he'll look well cared for. After the rain stops—plant winter garden. Praying for a blessed day for all you fellow losers! I love being a (weight) loser.
10/16 168.4 Unexpected! I hope it doesn’t come back tomorrow. I have lunch at the women’s club meeting today—good time to practice restraint in preparation for the 10-day singing ministry tour in New England states next month.
10/17 167.4 Really? Just to be sure, I got on the scale again, and verified the number. I’m keeping it! Thor and I did our 3+ mile walk this cool morning. The side is kinda blown out on my right walking boot, but I didn’t wear my newer pair because I realized this lets my toes spread and prevents the pain from my Morton’s Neuroma (small tumor between my toes). The Lord blesses me in mysterious ways. 😊 I think I can credit this keto WOE for less arthritis pain in my back/hips and shoulder. Even if I wasn’t losing weight, it’s worth being able to get more done without pain.

This is Keto Week, lets see how long I can keep it up.
I'm going to try to measure everything possible this round
Do you alternate low carb and high carb weeks? Has sticking with one plan for an extended period ever worked for you? I've only been trying keto for a little over 3 weeks, but I'm impressed that 1) I'm losing weight, 2) I have less pain, and 3) I'm not hungry. I'm not saying I'm never tempted, but it's easier to turn away when I'm not hungry. I've figured out I can have a bite of a treat, occasionally, without going overboard and having to start over.
I hope you figure out what works for you and reach your goal. Best wishes.

@tiabirdie56 I miss oatmeal and looked at your keto seed porridge recipe. Do you have a fiber content? One serving exceeds my carb limit, unless it has a lot of fiber, which I hope it does. At first glance, it looked like too much trouble (I'm a little lazy). Do you/can you mix up a lot of jars at once, so you don't have to add everything each time you want a bowl?1
