Mini-goal 2: Hit 25% of target. Aiming for this by mid-August, just ahead of my friend's wedding.
Mini-goal 1 achieved this morning! 😀
(Existing) Mini-goal 2: Hit 25% of target. Aiming for this by mid-August, just ahead of my friend's wedding.
(New) Mini-goal 3: Build enough strength to start a progressive lifting programme like stronglifts. Aiming for early October. (Hopefully sooner but even bodyweight squats are currently a challenge.)
Just met Mini-goal 2 this morning!! I'm delighted. I really needed a boost after a really tough week.
Mini-goal 4: I have a fortnight until my friend's wedding and my new mini-goal for that day is to be able to zip up my pretty new dress without hurting my fingertips! (And then to find as many opportunities as I can to wear it before it gets too small!! )
Mini-goal 5: To be brave enough to try a new activity with a social dimension. More than anything else, this will push me out of my comfort zone.
Mini-goal 6: To reach a loss of 2 stone (28lbs/12.7kgs). This would bring me just over 33% to goal. Aiming for this by 15 September at the latest.
Mini-goals 4, 5 (SUP counts, right? Especially when everyone comes up to commiserate with you for falling in?!) and 6 all met as of this morning!
3. I'm still working on building enough strength to start a progressive lifting programme, so it will be a while before I get there.
7. In the meantime, my first new mini-goal is to stay on track - for a 7lb overall loss for September - when I am travelling for work for 2 weeks later this month. I have just started c25k, so hopefully I can use the hotel fitness centre to keep that going...and substitute for my usual daily 90 minutes of walking.
8. My somewhat ambitious 8th goal is to hit the midpoint of this journey by Hallowe'en! If I can maintain my current rate of loss, I will just manage it, but the upcoming fortnight out of my routine could throw a spanner in the works!
Ticking off Goals 7 and 8 as complete! I am now halfway to goal, and simultaneously 3 stone (42 lbs) down from my starting weight!
My new mini-goals are:
9. To finish c25k (distance version). I'm currently on week 7, so hopefully this day week I will complete it!
10. Onederland! Hoping to reach this by the time I start a new job in 3 weeks.
11. To have lost another stone (14 lbs) by New Year's Day. I gained 55lbs over a very stressful 2-year period that ended this summer. I want to start 2019 having lost every single one of those unhappy lbs!6 -
Yesterday when I jumped on the scale I was down 5lbs After a long time of waffling about and eating better but not really managing my weight its nice to see my weight go down. My mini goal is to burn enough calories this weekend that I can eat a piece of cake tomorrow and have it fit into my day no stress7

I’m once again gunning for the black jeans in a size 14, they are the smallest in that size that I own and i would love to be able to wear them - especially as it’s finally starting to cool down In California5

I HEAR THAT! My hsband is terrible for bringing lush cookies home!3 -
New clothes. I'm down over 90 pounds and don't have crap to wear. Holding out for another 25 pounds then it's a little shopping spree for this guy10
-
My mini goal is to run a mile nonstop by Thanksgiving, a 5k by Christmas.14
-
I’m SO close to the 150s! I’m really hoping to hit at least 159 this week.18
-
Once I hit the 168-169 I'm getting my nose pierced again. I used to have it pierced so long ago.... looking forward to it4

My hips are currently 40.5 inches around. When I started MFP in May all three of my main measurements were 40 (1 metre in circumference, yeesh!!!) or above, and I'm really looking forward to being completely in the 30s (with hopes my waist measurement dips into the 20s at some point, although that certainly would not qualify as a mini-goal).
Success! It took ages but as of this morning my hips are 39.5 inches around, which both means that all my torso measurements have shifted from 40 inches plus to somewhere in the 30s, and also that my hips today are smaller around than my waist (at its narrowest point, no less, rather than my bellybutton) was 260 days ago when I started MFP. Now to celebrate with some ... black coffee?
Success on the larger-than-mini-goal quoted above: my waist finally dipped into the 20s last week, currently sitting at 29.5" (I set that goal in January so it's been kind of a long road). Hips at 37 as of today too, which is actually ANOTHER personal milestone because back in the days before low-rise stretch jeans I used to always buy men's pants and wear them at my hips to compensate for my short torso (otherwise I looked like I was buttoning my pants at my neck). I distinctly remember that I'd hit 38 inches before I was able to make the switch to women's pants/sizing. I haven't had measurements like this since I was about 21 and I'm 44 now. More than half a lifetime ago. Jeez.12 -
Seeing my jeans get looser- I have a pair that’s always been tight since high school, looking forward for when I need to use a belt to wear them7

I love it. i refer to my two digit numbers as "decades" and I'm happy to say I entered a new decade this morning! I like having that extra milestone. Cheers!7 -
I started on October 20th with the goal of losing 15 pounds by my birthday, which is December 16th. I started at 170 pounds and am down 3.5 pounds already. I am also very determined to only weigh once a week, on Sunday mornings. I’m upping protein and dropping carbs. I walk a lot, usually 5km per day or more. It’s working and I feel really good. My longer term goal is to get down to between 145-150 pounds.8

My Mini goat... err i mean goal is...... Be under 200 Lbs. I don 't think i have been under 200 lbs in 20 years.... lost 50+ so far. 13 ish Lbs to go!14
-
I have a couple of cute tops in my closet that are just a smiiiiidge too clingy on me. I want them to fit well. I also want to bust out of this awkward in-between pants sizes stage and get solidly into a 10 so I can buy jeans that fit better again.7
-
Just 5lbs to go after a 40lbs loss... I’ve been working on this 5 lbs for months it seems, up and down but I’m motivated again now and it’s going to happen. I’m right in between clothing sizes and it drives me nuts that nothing fits right. Giving myself until mid December!6
-
I am hovering right at the border of my mini goal of less than 100 pounds to go. Yesterday I was .1 away but today's weigh in put me at .9 away. I'm hoping this uptick doesn't last too long.8

I'm not and have never been a natural runner. I don't love it and its work for me. It took me a long time to get to that mile. But I started running 5ks after that and I'd always felt that the first mile was the hardest. After that you get in a rhythm and the rest comes easier. Good luck with your goal. I am sure you can do it!7 -
My last mini goal was to get under 60kg. I guess I had some kind of mental barrier stopping me before. I've achieved that one finally 😁
Current mini goals are a flatter belly and to lose the 2nd butt so I look better in my swimsuit this summer. Part of the problem is all the loose skin hanging down.6
