Hey @newmeadow, how are you? I'm looking for some sage advice. Is white a really bad color to wear after Memorial Day? I live in SoCal and wore white pants out while shopping.
I am glad to see you about.
With your long legs, trim thighs and northern European hip structure I'm going to say you can get away with it, especially in the west coast culture which is a little more loosey goosey than the coastal northeast.
I beg to differ!!!
I'm considered the loosest goose in the North East. I wear white after labor day and also wear red lipstick during work hours.
I believe that she should not wear the white pants unless she's walking a perfumed beagle and wearing a D&G trench coat.
Okay, but what a girl wears on a golf course isn't necessarily subject to the local rules of etiquette because that's a whole different world. Beagle-friendly environments are seemingly coming more into vogue, and a little Chanel #5 helps break the ice, yes.1 -

If only that Burberry coat hadn't been stolen. We could all go swimming with the fishes. Ugh. That has a different connotation here...2 -

Me, you, queen lizard, 100 proof, the beagle and a baggie of chlorine resistant goldfish from Woolworths can all go in search of the perfect swimming experience after we shop at Nieman's for the appropriate attire. We'll try and influence 100 Proof's fashion selections with some diplomatic counseling. But if she insists on something nontraditional and eclectic we'll smile and concede as she is very headstrong.

For whatever reason, that exercise is called "clams" - I guess it does look like a clam opening and shutting...but I like your answer better.0 -

I have a theory on why it's called clams, but I doubt I can share it here.4 -

Well, this thread took quite a detour and for once it wasn't my fault
The Halloween spirit never made it to our house this year. We threw some inflatable ghosts and pumpkins out in the front yard and called it good 100% chance of rain today and this evening. I predict leftover Halloween candy in my future food diary!1 -

I preconsumed all my Halloween candy and will spend the evening sitting in the dark watching Netflix. My dog doesn't deal well with people at the door. So I don't participate.3 -

That's pretty much every night for me Sometimes Hulu or Amazon just to mix things up.

I was thinking about making it something scary enough that I'll have to lock my bedroom door to sleep tonight. Pretty sure that little lock won't do me much good, but for some reason, it's comforting. The no sleep Reddit can be good for that too. Try reading that then go camping :laugh:0 -

Aside from unadulterated sugar or sweetener from a bowl or packet, candy corn is about the only thing I can think of that's actually too sweet me to eat (and yes, I'm including peeps )3
