I'm in! With my half on December 9th, November is due to be my greatest total distance in a month ever with training plan calling for 137km. I'm going to play it a bit safe and set my goal to 125km just in case spanners get in the works!

Goal 1: A 30 km run.
Goal 2: 2 blog posts.
Goal 3: No shopping for myself.
Goal 4: Handstands/stretching daily.
Plus I'm entered in a HM this Sunday, and have my eye on two other HMs this month, and need to decide which ones to run / run easy.13 -
Got laid up with a cough for most of last month, so ran maybe half of goal. Back in November for 100km.What in the world have you done for your tomorrow self this year? Done done. Not gonna do. Not gonna get done honey. DONE.
Getting back into running was the best thing I could've done for myself. Oh, and I'm slowly learning how to deal. Must be good for my long term health...9 -

I've taken to doing year long challenges. Last year I lost 20kg through exercise and eating better. This year my goal was to improve my running to complete the Kerikeri Half Marathon in November. So this year for my tomorrow self I have continued my healthy lifestyle. I have trained enough I ran 20k without taking a break last week indicating I'm on track for the half in 3 weeks time. I've also kept the weight off. Ideally I would have lost another 5kg but am not stressing about it, I feel so much more confident and happy in my own skin. And I'm teaching my kids about a healthy lifestyle.
My goal for next year is to complete 3 half marathons, in March, June and November, and to run a marathon in October. And do a @PastorVincent, 3 weeks between the marathon and a half bahaha. Actually that's not tight enough for him, it should be the next day...7 -
October Totals: bike 77.6 km, run 100.7 km
November goals: bike 80 km, run 110 km
For tomorrow-self, earlier this year I politely resigned from one extra responsibility at work, and cut back on a second one, as both were causing me stress I didn't need in my life. This led to some pushback from a supervisor and meetings with my next-level-up supervisors who all confirmed that YES, I really can turn down extra work, especially when my time is not being respected. I believe it has helped me be better at the things I am doing. Also, I ran that marathon on Madeira Island, and a few months later got through a tough marathon closer to home, and I like the person those difficult accomplishments have made me.11 -
My goal for the month will be a low 20 miles since I am recovering from a car accident and will be on-call in the middle of the month. Hoping for more.10

Thanks for starting the monthly thread, @garygse. Welcome to all of the newcomers! Join right in - people are crazy but friendly.
What to aim for in November? It's a busy month with my birthday, work deadlines, travel for a conference, and the Thanksgiving holiday. I'm recovering from the marathon so no running for the rest of this week. I plan to be very easy getting back into it. No double digit runs this month.
I'll try for 90 miles.7 -
Trick or Treat night here... so not sure if I will get to run, or get to help set up for accepting the little monsters. As an INTJ I bet you can guess which I would prefer...4

Luckily, this is the November thread, so Trick or Treat night shouldn't have an impact.
ETA: unless too much candy is consumed, in which case then it just might!5 -

I dunno about that, @garygse. There's a house around the corner that hands out Bailey's & hot chocolate to the parents. Probably depends on how many times I stop there... could make for a rough Thursday.13 -
@sarahthes I need your neighbours to move to my neighbourhood, lol!5

going for 70 again
adult trick or treating is very common in our area.4 -

They are the franchise owners for the local Tim Hortons. Seem to be nice folks. They give full size treats to the kids too.
Last year my husband's costume prevented him from partaking. But he had to hold my cup at every stop because his costume was also too bulky to escort the kids to the doors.3 -
Goal for November 200 + miles
Continue Running every day5 -
My goal for November is going to be 75 miles. I may get more than that. I did manage to reach my goal in October, but there is a lot going on in November plus the weather is a factor for me. So I am going to set a goal that I know I can reach so I won't be stressed about not reaching it if life gets in the way.
What have I done for "tomorrow me"? I have run for the last two years and done yoga most weekdays for about 2.5 years and I have kept off the ~78 pounds that I lost. I plan to continue running, some for races, but mostly for fitness and to keep up with the yoga. I am trying to learn to be flexible about fitting my fitness goals around my personal life. About a year before Dennis passed I lost one of my best friends from my childhood to a sudden heart attack. She was 49 years old. Then Dennis' passing hit me kind of hard (I think because it was so similar to Melissa's passing). Yesterday I found out that my step-niece was killed in a house fire. She was 37 years old, had beat breast cancer in 2018 and left behind 4 children. Life is short and the unexpected happens. I feel that it is important to do things for your tomorrow self and your today self. I hope to have a good balance between taking care of me and knowing that sometimes you have to be there for others because they will not always be here. So while I plan to run a lot in November to take care of tomorrow me, I also plan to be there for my friends and family. We have birthdays, wedding showers, holidays and now a funeral in November. If I hit or surpass my running goal then that will be great. If I don't then as long as I don't quit and I do continue to run and keep up with my fitness then it is all good. I am so glad to be part of this group. It really encourages and inspires me.21 -
I’m in for 50 miles this month. I didn’t manage to hit my goal for October because life happened, so I’m dropping this months goal from 60 to 50.5

I'm in, but I'm not sure I will get many miles in. I'll go low and say 50 miles.
I'm injured from the marathon I ran 10/7. Appt on 11/13 to see if they can tell me what is wrong.11 -
I'm in for 300 km this month.
Have a runtastic month everyone. See you at the finish line.11 -
Happy November - for those of us here already (@ContraryMaryMary, @orphia lol)
Rest day today. I still had sore tight muscles, mostly in my hips, after my training run on Saturday, so last night was a good yoga stretch and roll on the roller. My legs and hips feel better but my lower back is still tight, I'll work on that tonight.
This month will be crazy busy for me. This weekend is helping a friend build a chicken coop, next weekend is a study day I organise every year, then HM, then a wedding, then my birthday!! Whew5
