What are your biggest physical insecurities?
Hey guys, just thought it might feel nice to air our insecurities. Know that we're not alone, you know?
I'll go first. Mine are my arms and my thighs. I'm only 21 but since the age of about 15, I've had really huge bingo wings and my inner thighs hold a lot of fat. I don't really see a lot of women of my weight range with such big arms like me and it's always made me insecure.
What are some of yours? Hope you're all getting closer to your goals! x

I'm over 50 and my only bodily concern is that time moves quickly (especially the older you get) and someday my body will give out on me and no longer exist.
I do enjoy watching younger people luxuriously pondering how their thighs, gut or butt measure on the attractiveness scale and remembering my own preoccupation with that.11 -

This made me lol.
Because it's such truth! But, it only makes sense that our insecurities change with age.
I used to be wildly afraid of looking or sounding stupid. I embrace that *kitten* now!
Physically though, my stomach and thighs. I think I'm supa beautiful, if not a bit a obnoxious and demanding, personality wise but legit I'm usually rather fun to be around.
I hate when I'm running on the treadmill and my tank wants to ride up to my waist cuz it's the smallest part on me. And my upper lip isn't symmetric though I doubt anyone but I notice. Also, my neck is straight instead of curved and the condition causes my posture or my posture caused the condition. I slouch supa much and if anyone sees me standing straight it's because I'm trying to stay really conscious of it. Standing straight give me a headache too. So there's a lump on my upper back, lower neck that's noticeable to me! Though no one had pointed it out except this one time in 4th grade.
I used to hate my feet, people referred to them as Flintstone feet. My mom was kind and told me they were perfect for swimming and not for looks. They just look like feet to me now but when I was a young girl I HATED them.
I think that's it. Most of my flaws I always loved like, the bazillion moles and freckles on my body. I loved finding a new one and still do. I have a gap between my front teeth, always loved it.
When I'm stressed I slur my words, it makes me feel humble and realize no one is perfect.
Embrace your insecurities I guess is my final message!
Oh yeah I have club thumbs too. Love my little thumbs!5 -
Was overweight during childhood with much chaotic yo-yo-ing back and forth...losing my waist felt like my biggest accomplishment initially. I don't really care about size, just maintaining shape & definition as I age3
-
When I was younger I was insecure about all kinds of stuff. Now I look back at my pics from then and cant understand why.
As a kid, I was teased a lot for being short but I embrace my lack of height now.
Also, I used to be insecure about all of my curves because the skinny look was in, but I embrace them now too.5 -
My legs, my butt and my belly 🤣🤣 and I don’t like my arms2

You all are delightful!!!! Hugs for the question and interesting/humorous answers...I agree we should celebrate our differences but we wouldn't be human if we didn't have some insecurities....I mean I would hope so...shoot if there are some perfects out there is be suspect people...they may just pull a
.
On us!!!!😮😏 could happen🤷
Ok mine are....maybe I should say what aren't my insecurities it's a shorter list...speaking of shorter...
1. My height...5'1.5" ...yes the .5 matters to me!😏 it's cute when you're in jr. High....sort of but it's more hindrance and I do love heels (surprise surprise I know🙄) but try hiding 10 lbs at this height people😖
2. Birthmark on my left leg(calf) that I think everyone I met had asked me if I had spilled wine in myself....it's funny never😒 I had to buy special rights when I was dancing on stage in the ballet in my teen years because the house lights were too bright and it really did look like wine spill.
3. More then than now but still...I've always been curvy.....nice? No! When you develop early 11, and want to be a prima ballerina it's not the best thing....had an aunt by marriage call me the chubby ballerina at 9....9!!!!!😠needless to say years of trying to make myself into a skinny ballerina and years of eating disorders yes good times.....so now that it's behind me I try to embrace my curvy lil stature but it ain't easy let me tell you....and holding it in only causes more stress, meaning cortisol meaning harder to loose.....yes insecurities...I gotz em🙋🤷
but I'm learning to live them...and one good thing about aging and for me being a mom...it teaches you...pfft.....no one is perfect and even if they are its so over rated....differences make the world a better...more beautiful place.....and thats that😋
Hugs beautiful peeps!😘8 -
My nose I always felt was way too big and my eyes are buggy lol. In terms of body I was overweight for a while so sometimes I still see the fat me2

I hate my body I hate what I see. It’s so bad I cry when I look in the mirror. I can’t even look at myself. I have scars they will never go away due to self harm. My teen life was pretty thought got bullied cause I was the bigger girl with all the skinny friends. It’s sucked and it still sticks with me.
Listen to me and listen good beautiful...because you are...I see you and yes you are...now. Where are these *kitten*..😠....Kidding! Trying to hopefully make you laugh because you don't realize it yet but you're only just starting out sweatheart! You're at the right place to begin your journey...even if it takes time...you are going to one day love you...I promise....but in the meantime please listen to an unbiased lady who has been there....I was awkward and had a lot of baby fat and my skinny cousins used to make me feel like the hulk after he let himself go....their mom called me a chubby ballerina and guuuurl I bought that shut for a long time! I was lucky to have friends like me and we stuck together...grew stronger and we'll you'll see honey....you got me if ya want and I'm sure a slew of others....we are stronger together beautiful girl! You make sure you take good care of you....even talking to someone may help love....I'm here...you're lovely and on your way to become the you...you love.😍😘💙💚💛💜💖 hugs Ali🌹

My Lips are too damn big.5
-
My arms also, as well as my belly and my boobs.
I just wish I had a flatter tummy that like doesn't "hang" if that's the right word? There are some bigger girls that carry their weight well and in the right places. I am not one of those girls.7 -

My hips/ love handles
Sorry, which love handles?? I can’t see them in the pic! You should see what love handles look like 😤3 -
When I was younger I had many body image insecurities, which led to very low self esteem and carried through until my 20s.
At this moment, my lower stomach I’d love to tighten up as much as possible. I realize, after two caesareans and larger babes (8.8lb and 11.4lb) , flat just may not happen.1 -
This thread can get real dangerous real fast for me, so I'll just say that I have plenty of insecurities but I've worked really hard to embrace the things I actually love about myself. It's probably not healthy to make a laundry list of the negatives.7

Hugs! Sometimes Its not no, but sometimes it helps others see they are not alone. Personally I look at mine (cringe) and feel.stronger knowing I'm stronger than those fkrs....but you're right to each their own and, you my dear are quite lovely...no matter what😍😘0 -

the 10kgs of muffin top im carrying! I have a tiny belly that i cant shift2
-
I hate the veins in my legs. I have great skin and am often mistaken for someone much younger than I am. That is, until I wear clothes that show my legs. The veins betray my age every darned time.1
-
The cellulite on my butt and thighs, my nose, and my boobs.1
-
Pretty much everything except my legs and my eyes.1
-
I'd say my stomach - it's huge... if I could just shove it on around to the back of me then I'd have a flat stomach + a big butt = WINNING! lol Other than that - the years have drastically reduced my level of "give a care" and things that once mattered just don't any more. I love getting older.3
-
Nope, not harping on my insecurities. I turned 50 a couple of months ago, comparing or complaining about them has been over quite a while now. I just need a capable and as strong a body I can develop. At my age getting enough sleep and dealing with being as healthy as I can is the end goal, through exercise if I make aesthetic improvements that's a bonus.3

My weight-related one now is the loose skin on my belly, and how it hangs over my c-section scar.
My biggest insecurity of all is that, for a women, I'm pretty hairy but my skin is so sensitive that keeping smooth is torture.2 -
Butt and Thunder Thighs and now a new feature, old man crepe paper skin0
-
My skin. I had a lot of acne as a teen/young adult. It is better now but my complexion is blotchy. I feel really self concious without makeup.
My big nose. Kind of wide and round.

Well instead of listing my every flaw, i'll say my entire naked body.1

I know just what you mean. I see some plus size models (for example) and they're much larger than me but have a perfect flat tummy. I have never had that and never will! I have gone from 3X to size 10 and still have a spare tire. Granted it's smaller than it was by a lot. But it's definitely my worst feature physically and biggest insecurity.2 -
My skin! Ever since I fell: 09/16/17, every injury that causes an open wound leaves a scar! I got poison ivy: 06/10/18 & my legs're horrific!2
