11/26 191.4 - I expect a couple of these pounds are holiday leftovers and sodium so I’m hoping with a lot of water and exercise it will drop fairly quickly
11/27 191.8 - ok I was not expecting that. My sodium was a little high but I drank lots of water and walked. I will have to keep the sodium way lower today.
11/28 - 189.4 - That’s more like where I expect to be. Got almost all my water in and had a one hour work out and kept the sodium low.
11/29 - 187.8 - did not expect that. Don’t know if it will stick but fingers crossed

11/24 82.5 Mum’s birthday (sad). Spent the day with Brother his wife and our niece, which involved eating lots of course.
11/25 83.2 Husband’s birthday (happy). More food!!
11/26 84.2 PT session today. Did a lot of squats but binged on crisps and chocolate on the way home from the gym!!
11/27 84.7 back on track today after waking up feeling sick because I overate yesterday. Went for a brisk walk after work and was under my calories.
11/28 83.9 did a kettlebell workout at the gym, and stuck to my calories.

P.S. I leave tomorrow evening at about 5:15 PM U.S. EST for the pool hall. I will anxiously read all posts tonight and tomorrow.
What I would do: ignore the busybodies, and don't change your rountine. You enjoy these outings with your friend. You could throw this guy a friendly smile the next time you see him, and see what developes, but that's up to you.

11/24 - 146.5 - Well, the past week finally caught up with me. We'll finish up our leftovers today and I'll spend the next 10 days trying to undo the damage. I'm very relieved that I'm comfortable with my weight right now though. I'm also glad I have this challenge to keep me accountable and stop the gain before it gets out of control.
11/25 - 147.5 - Ouch, talk about a delayed reaction! I'm going to have to be pretty careful the next few weeks to make sure I'm back down before Christmas!
11/26 - 146.5 - Back to work, back to logging food, back to eating better, and back to drinking water!
11/27 - 144.5 - I was really surprised to see this number this morning. I didn't even drink much extra water yesterday. I'll take it!
11/28 - 145 - I changed my profile yesterday to a loss of .5 per week, instead of 1 lb. a week. I now have an extra 140 calories to eat a day. I'll see if these extra calories create a weight gain issue for me.
11/29 - 144.5 - I drank all my water yesterday and ate my extra calories in some cashew trail mix. I was surprised how full I felt all day.

@UTMom81 ye and lately i have been grabbing chocolate more often and without realizing it. Whether it's a mini chocolate, a chocolate chip cookie or muffin or a chocolate filled waffer..when the sweet tooth hits I know exactly where to go. My problem is when I start, it triggers something and I overkill it, which isn't hard with chocolate, especially milk chocolate. I tried dark chocolate but it isn't the same and not only does it trigger my chocolate craving also but then I double up on the amount I eat because I attempted the dark chocolate. I might have to learn to bake with it and see if that helps.
I love hummus and PB too!! PB I have more control but hummus I can eat with a spoon...well at least it's better then most.
Lately I have also been having nut cravings, finished off two cans of raw, unsalted almonds and unsalted cashews in two weeks. Super fattening but so good!! I have been so good for months on controlling cravings, very rarely having them and moderating what I eat when I do..,but this month I have been a craving monster. I just try to remind myself that I am in control not my tastebuds3 -
Welcome back @spookymulder00 !! Hope everything in your life settles down soon and I hope all those injured have fast recoveries
@allmannerofthings I'm sorry for your loss.. my condolences. I have lost three members of my family within the past three years so I know how you are feeling and it isn't good. My aunt (who passes away last week) was only 52. It's so heartbreaking hearing about all these young people dieing and it seems to be happening more and more often. I am so sorry for you..you are too young to be dealing with this 🙁🙁4 -

11/24 - 177.4 - Ate nothing unusual, only 22 calories over, drank plenty of water. Just a normal fluctuation.
11/25 - 178.4 - Over calories by 300 from eating keto seed porridge. Still no unusual foods, except for a pumpernickel dinner roll. Plenty of water and enough sleep.
11/26 - 178 - I need salt and potassium. Last night during my fasting hours, I ate 250 calories worth of salty, spicy peanuts 😟 Could have saved calories just drinking my electrolytes. I don't know why I have been having an aversion to drinking electrolytes.
11/27 - 178.8 - High carbs yesterday, late dinner, no electrolytes 😕
11/28 - 174.8 - Skeptical, weighed 3 times though. I'm pretty sure its because of the electrolytes I finally drank.
11/29 - 177.4 - I knew my weight had to settle but not to this 177 again 😬 Lol My body's water balance is so finicky.

11/24 - 245.8..made cake and cupcakes for my sons birthday today, and got into the cupcakes. They were yummy! We're still both sick but excited for his party today. Definitely going to be another high calorie day, but I'm going to enjoy it and then get back on track tomorrow.
11/25 - 245.8..took the day off as planned yesterday and enjoyed my sons birthday. Back at it today though.
11/26 - 243.8...weighed 3 times and it was the same but I still don't believe it. I did not get back on track yesterday as planned and ate at probably around maintenance. Possibly dehydrated as I only had 50 oz of water I think. Still sick and wanting to eat bad things but I will not do it today!!!
11/27 - 243.8?...not really sure. I couldn't stop coughing last night so I wasn't able to get to sleep until 4:30am. Woke at 6:30 when my son woke and weighed in at 246.4. Went back to bed a little later until 2pm and weighed in at 243.8. Oh and I also ate a bunch of chips and cookies with milk when I wasn't able to sleep 🙁 I'm sure I'll be up tomorrow.
11/28 - 243.8...probably dehydration, didn't have much of anything to drink yesterday.
11/29 - 243.8...amazed to still see this number cause I haven't been doing great. This cold has really knocked all strength and motivation out of me. Not feeling as crappy today so I'm going to at least turn the eating around...still no energy to exercise though.

@abowersgirl & @tiabirdie56 I started doing the squats in the bathroom because when I started drinking more water and with the meds I'm on I was spending a solid amount of time in there so I figured I'd make the most of it! Haha! Also I was embarassed to work out in front of ANYONE, even myself in the mirror so it's built a lot of confidence and now sometimes I even do a few reps in my office and have started looking at my form in the mirror at home lol And my legs are actually wicked sore today from the lunges yesterday!10

11/24 - Saturday - 178.6 - yesterday proved to be more difficult than thanksgiving and I definitely over ate. Stuck to my habits this morning tho. Friends coming over for dinner so not a normal eating day again but I'm looking forward to it!
11/25 - Sunday - 179.6 - more holiday indulgences in the form of friends and cheese. Making an effort to drink water today. Moms for mac and cheese dinner tonight. Way too much dairy for me but tonight is the end of the line...back to it tomorrow. Reminder to self that scale is just data, I had a wonderful holiday and in enjoying the journey despite a later arrival date.
11/26 - Monday -179.8 - Tummy was a bit upset this morning - no surprise there as my beloved mac and cheese is hard on me. I skipped my smoothie but took my supplements. Frozen entree for lunch and leftovers for dinner - but back to habits and structure and I'm happy about that!
11/27 - Tuesday - 179.6 - Need to really commit to the next few weeks before Christmas again. But maybe not go so extreme - because I tried to be SO on point before thanksgiving that I was like RAAHHH EAT ALLL THE THINGS once it finally came. So a little more balance - I need to stick to my weekday schedule, and do my 80/20 on the weekends so I can enjoy, be happy I'm still trending downward, and not undo all that work again come Christmas. Working on my patience as I get nervous watching the scale hover back to 180 and feeling kinda fluffy. Need to do some more meal planning and get more physical activity in as I just like to eat and burning more calories would help me be able to do that - mapping out a dog walk to do daily.
11/28 - Wednesday - 177.8 - Not what I was expecting but I will go with it! Last night was busy, no food planned or prepped - got KFC for dinner and it fit within calories for the day and I miraculously gave away the cookie that came with the meal haha. Nonetheless I do have a headache this morning so I'm crushing water and doing lunges every time I go to the bathroom - they are so hard! But I remember when I started doing my bathroom aerobics that the squats were hard and now they are easy so I'm excited to improve!!!
11/27 - Thursday - 177.2 - Sweet! Well this week is screaming by. Last nights NSV was eating half of my dinner - knowing I was full and stopping despite having more mashed potatoes to eat. I told myself if I wouldn't finish the veggies, I was not actually hungry and didn't need to finish the potatoes on my plate. Quads are on fire from yesterdays lunges but I managed to get my knee all the way to the floor which I had not been able to do!12 -

OSW - 213 (highest weight ever 280 but I've had most of that off for more than 15 years but still)
CW - 187.8
RGW - 186
UGW – 135
Food Goals:
Get 5 servings of fruits/veggies every day.
Stay under my calorie goal of 1,400.
Exercise Goals:
Walk at least an hour 3 days a week, 4 days if nothing better is available.
Weight training 1 day a week
Walk 45 miles in November (Nov 28th - 44.4 miles - I have 3 more days I'm going for 50!!!)
Day/Weight/Comment:
11/24 - 187.8 Down is always the right direction. Got over three miles in yesterday and stayed within calorie goals even with a half a piece of pecan pie! Thankfully the leftovers are all gone. I'm just happy to have made it through Thanksgiving without a gain. I have decided if the weather holds out I am going to try to get 50 miles in before the end of the month.
11/25 - 187.3 It ain't much but I'll take it, happily. I did not end up walking yesterday. I went to a funeral (step grandfather I didn't know well but needed to go for my step Mom who I love) and the chatting after lasted too long to get a walk in before dark. I have three hours before the snow starts, I am trying to talk myself into walking before the storm, but it's cold... Whining doesn't make me healthier just fatter. Ok I'm going dang you guys are tough on a girl!
11/26 - 187.8 I'm sure this is due to a high sodium day yesterday. I did get my three miles in though, finished just as the rain that turned into ice that turned into snow started. It was actually a great walk after the first half mile of freezing. I didn't see another person or even animal on the trail. Usually I see or hear squirrels off in the woods - not yesterday.
11/27 - 186.4 Woohoo goodbye retained water!!! The only exercise I got yesterday was snow-shoveling the driveway. I turned on the MapMyFitness app. It said I burned 371 calories in 25 minutes. I know that's not right though I did work up a sweat. Tonight is gym night and I even remembered my clothes so I don't have to go home first. Of course I did forget my breakfast and lunch I was bringing to work... Meal planning is great and everything IF you remember to bring it with you.
11/28 - 186.7 Nothing but a blip! Yesterday's drop was a little dramatic so I think this is more of a true-up. Half way thru this challenge already, it goes so quickly. I did a short walk yesterday trying to get to 45 miles but I had misremembered how far I needed and am still a little more than half a mile away. BUT since I still have three days and need to exercise, I'm going for 50. These self imposed goals encourage me when I'm thinking I'd rather not go out in the cold to walk. I still did weights after walking but not as much because I got overheated walking and one of the fun symptoms of MS is when you get hot you get weaker. Not an ideal time to lift weights. I couldn't do the same weights I normally do so I did slightly lower ones for fewer reps, but still feel pretty good about it. MS can suck it!
11/29 - 188.5 I got in a three mile walk and stayed within calories but somehow I'm up. As we always do I assume it's the sodium from yesterday. I won't lie it's a kick in the guts when you see a number that's 2 pounds more than yesterday and you know you've done everything right. It's the problem with weighing daily. I'm also not feeling well. Another frickin' cold, my head hurts, I'm sneezing like a fool but thankful for Dayquil. Good news tomorrow is another day, all we can do is trust the process. I'm less than 3 miles from getting 50 for November.

@deepwoodslady - My thoughts on your questions ended up being a little longer than I intended...It's a good thing I'm really slow at work today!
Isn’t it crazy that at our age, we can be thrown back into our insecurities we had as 15 year olds? It happens to me too on occasion so I can totally relate to your feelings, although on different matters.
First, I want to say that you seem to be a very strong, capable woman. At this point, you have discovered over the past 3 years that you are able to handle so many adversities on your own that you don’t necessarily need another man to lead a happy fulfilling life. You have managed a household, serious illness, and family issues successfully all on your own. I’d like you to look at yourself with confidence and say, “whether or not I go out with this man, whether or not he likes me or I like him, and whether or not we ever speak, I will continue to live my life happily and successfully.” I think you may be interested in going out with him based on your reactions to the woman’s statements, and I think it’s great.
Second, I lost my mother many years ago. Within a few months my Dad started dating an old family friend who had been a widow for years. She asked me how I felt about it as she felt bad, as if I was going to resent her for going out with Dad so soon. I told her that Mom loved him enough that she wouldn’t want him to be lonely. Not only that, she was keeping him busy so I didn’t have to entertain him all the time, haha. They still go out to this day and I have her over for holidays and dinners. They’re not going to get married, but they do enjoy going out and I know, if Mom is watching, that she would absolutely approve.
Lastly, you must absolutely continue going to the hall. It’s so important for us as we get older, to continue enjoying social activities. When you go back, remember to go with confidence!!! Unlike when we were 15, whether or not you have a date is not important. You have so much going on in your life that having a nice date with a man would be a bonus, but not necessary to your happiness right now. Go enjoy yourself tonight and follow your regular routine. Whatever happens, handle it with confidence and you'll be fine.

I know this little bump up is residue from excess calories on TG, so I'm watching but not panicking. MFP says my maintenance calories without exercise are 1380, and SailRabbit calculates it as 1318. Since I've lost so much, I'm guessing it's at the lower end, so trying to aim for 1250-1350. We shall see.

This is my fifth week of adding foods back into my diet after 6 weeks of eliminating them. This week I've added dairy (after eggs, tomatoes, peppers, & gluten the past 4 weeks). So far, I've had no reactions at all, so apparently my inflammation levels aren't related to those foods. Three weeks to go, adding soy, corn, and peanuts. I'm not sorry I did this, but I'll be glad when it's over.

Apparently I am incapable of logging in 10 straight days in a row... sigh.
I just checked stats on the "report" button -- one year ago I was 132.6, and this morning I weighed in at 129.6. My all time low this past year was 125.2 and that was in September. I am pretty psyched about all this, actually. I really credit MFP with keeping going and not going back to the glumpy middle aged woman I was a couple years ago. Still looking to get to 120....
Jumping in now!

11/24—DNW—Just got back home. Very early flight in from Ohio. I haven't weight for three days and I'm sure it's not pretty. It wasn't pie that got me. I was very reasonable with the pie. But I was very UNreasonable with dip. Worth it though. (That's easy for me to say when I haven't weighed in!) 5 pounds of gain wouldn't shock me, because I was eating so differently and that makes me gain water weight quickly.
11/25—219—Well, that's not great, but it was 3 pounds rather than 5. Winning!
11/26—218.6—The slow recovery commences. I didn't really eat great yesterday, but it was an improvement over the previous three days!
11/27—218—This was an early weigh-in, so I'm pleased. I was starting a workout last night and I came down wrong on my right foot. Severe pain that lasted just a short while. Today I seem fine, but now I'm a little spooked.
11/28—218—My right ankle/foot seems to be fine. I wonder what that was? Yesterday I had meetings all day and came home exhausted. Today I woke up with a stuffy head. I don't know whether I was so tired because I'm coming down with something or if it was those darned meetings!
11/19—218.2—I had a GREAT workout last night. I continue to push forward with my goal of completing the pushups challenge and yesterday I finally made some progress. TOM is creeping up on me so I'm retaining water. Boo!13 -

@deepwoodslady, as one widow to another, no! You aren't betraying your DH! If he was worthy of the D as I bet he was, he would want you to live your life in joy and celebration as much as possible. Romantic connection is very important for some, not so important for others, and not at all important for yet others. You are the only judge of which of these groups you may fall into, but whichever it is, that's okay. You find what's right for you, not what's right for other people's idea of you. (And you may be wrong! I was CERTAIN I would never date again. I was not interested at all. Certainly I wasn't going to get remarried. And yet, here I am. Remarried. Life has a way of going directions you don't expect or plan for!)
If you find this man attractive and you have some interest, try to keep an open mind. But just because someone pointed him out to you doesn't make you obligated in the slightest!
I'm so sorry this is troubling you and I wish only the best for you.13 -
@allmannerofthings, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of your friend.7

ROUND 60 (Round 7 for me)
5’5” 66 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 140 lb.
Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Since starting the keto, I’ve lost 18 lb., I’m wearing smaller jeans, and I feel encouraged.
Round 54 – Finished at 171.8 lb. (6.2 lb. loss) This was my beginning of eating keto and tracking calories.
Round 55 – Finished at 170.0 (1.8 lb. loss)
Round 56 – Finished at 165.2 (4 lb. loss)
Round 57 – Finished at 163.6 (2 lb. loss)
Round 58 – Finished at 161.4 (2.2 lb. loss)
Round 59 – Finished at 160.2 (1.2 lb. loss)
Day/Weight/Comment
11/24 159.8 It’s great way to start a new round with a lower number than the last round! Thor and I walked 4.2 miles today. We’re slowly increasing our distance when my foot doesn’t hurt. On Monday I’ll see a podiatrist. I’m happy to be back for another round with you friendly folks! I pray it will be a great round for everyone here.
11/25 159.4 Nice to see, but, while my weight has gone down, I ate a little pecan pie and drank a little eggnog for the last three days, and my ketone level is down to less than .1. That’s my wake-up call—enough pie! I may have to put the last couple of slices in the freezer to give to my husband over time. He’s still working on the pumpkin pie, and there’s a lot of pumpkin cake left. It will disappear if he takes it to work tomorrow. To my credit, I haven’t even tasted the pumpkin cake. I give thanks every day, but I’m glad that holiday is behind me.
11/26 160.2 Whoops, I should have listened to myself yesterday. Last night, I made the decision that one ounce of pie and half a roll probably wouldn’t hurt me. Wrong! Beginning today, I will, once more, fully embrace the keto guidelines. What was I thinking? It’s cool out, so Thor and I can take a little walk and see if the pad the doctor put on my foot this morning is helpful. I still have time to get back in the 150’s before the end of the round.
11/27 159.8 I followed the rules yesterday and took a 3 mile walk with Thor. The podiatrist I saw yesterday thinks he can get me running without surgery. I hope he’s right. Today, I get to see what the dermatologist finds. My skin isn’t getting younger. I didn’t do a lot of sunbathing in my younger years, so that should help. Still, I’m fair skinned and had time in the sun, and I’m pretty sure a spot on my nose will be a concern. Fortunately, my soul is spotless, thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice on my behalf—that’s the critical issue. Praise God! I must keep everything in perspective.
11/28 159.4 Inching back down. Thor and I walked 4.8 miles this morning, without foot pain. We’re almost at the 5-mile mark, which I’ve determined is my cue to start C25K again. I was thrilled when my sweet daughter called yesterday and talked for two hours about keto/running/strength training. She started the keto WOE after my granddaughter told her I was losing weight with keto. She decided to try it and loves her results—15 lb. loss in 3 weeks and more energy. She cruises, often, with her husband and wants to recover her bikini figure. It will be a miracle if my daughter starts running. 😊 After I learned how to run, I enjoyed it. Maybe my daughter will, too. I had a spot on my nose burned by the dermatologist yesterday—hope that does it for a while.
11/29 158.8 I like being a loser, and I’ll do my best to keep being a loser. That said, I’ll still ditch my walk with Thor to play cards and socialize with my friends today.

Please join us! Starting on 11/24 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 60
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Round 60
Today, I am going to Focus on keeping my calories less than 1400; steps above 10,000; and going to bed at 9:30
11/28/2018: I'm back and getting focused. I don't want to start 2019 where I was last year. So, I'm jumping in late... but, I can tell you that things have been REALLY good the past 5 days.
Day/Weight/Comment
11/24-152.5- Feeling wrecked after vacation and Thanksgiving. Joined WW today for 3 months. Hoping it'll get me back on track. Food descent considering it was a family get together. Did have a very small slice of pecan pie. Exercise was a walk.
11/25- ???- Exercise good: morning workout, sledding with the kids, shoveling 12" of snow. Food good. Slowly getting back on track.
11/26- ???- Walked at lunch at my desk. Food good. WW points are surprising me. Can eat all the foods I generally do with 0 points and then I have a little bit of cranberry sauce and BAM! 6 points are gone. CAN NOT go by WW points alone. I WILL Gain on that program.
11/27- ???- Morning workout focused on strength. Christmas shopping. Food good with 8 WW points remaining.
11/28- 149.5- WOOT!!! WOOT!!! Morning workout- felt weak. But I am proud of myself for getting up and doing it despite not wanting to. Sushi for lunch which left me extremely hungry for the rest of the day. When I got home, I felt the need to eat A LOT before I got a few walnuts. Calories at 1700 but with activity, this was only 50 above my goal. WW Points were 3 over the daily goal. But I have plenty of weekly extras.
11/29- 150.5- Up a bit. Could feel the bloat in my fingers this morning. Morning workout. Work WIGs: documented. Health WIGs: Walk the plant. Eat my OWN lunch.

@dowhatrightis Are you looking at Keto as a diet you go on and off? I think it’s better to look at it as a life plan where I allow myself higher carbs on occasion knowing that I will need to be more attentive to stay in ketosis. When I did a doctor supervised no carb DIET I lost a lot, quickly and felt great but when I stopped, I regained quickly also. JMHO
@jlemoore I am totally disenchanted with WW and the zero points food list. It completely ignores the fact that some people can not eat all of those carbs. My initial success with them was destroyed when fruits and most vegetables became “free” and my leader repeatedly said “no one gets fat from eating bananas!” I regained 30# because he never suggested I was eating too much fruit - primarily fresh pineapple and watermelon. UGH!
@quiltingjaine I totally agree. I will gain weight on the program if I stick to their point system. The other day I was at 1400 calories with 8 more to go. I could have eaten a candy bar, ten bananas, a can of beans and still been under my point goal. I know I've got to track my total calories. Otherwise I WILL find a way to circumvent the system.

@deepwoodslady I would ask rose and get some subtle info and Intel...If you are interested to know the truth, but i would also tell her that you would deal with it in your own way on your own time and only if you decide it is right for you. I don't think she means any harm, I think she thinks she is just being a good friend in trying to set you guys up even though it is a teenager thing to do...but some people never grow up. I also think you should do what is best for you. Your husband wouldn't want you to be sad and alone but at the same time 3 years isn't a long time, so take your time getting back out there and don't feel pressured by others..once again do what is right for you. Since you see him at the pool hall often enough, if you are interested then don't feel rushed, ease into it and get to know him...maybe have a small conversation here and there and see where that leads. Take your time and work at a your own pace, just because someone is interested doesn't mean you need to throw yourself into something that you may or may not be ready for. What's so bad about meeting a new person, making an acquaintance, becoming a friend and then take whatever steps you feel is right as you go on. There is no rush. I would also confide in joey, your long time friend..he may know you better then you know yourself after so long and is, by the sound of it, a good pillar to lean on. *hugs* I know your situation is probably a lot harder and rougher on you then it sounds but don't let it get to you and dont let it stop you from doing what you love or going out to that pool hall, especially if nothing has happened yet. Just keep being your lovely self and it will be fine. You are strong, durable and beautiful inside and out, I think it's time you believed that about yourself.7
