11/26 149 I was able to maintain for most of the week last week but the last couple of days were the hardest in motivation, time and dedication. I am almost done reading everyone's post from round 59 and haven't started round 60 yet but I should be caught up by the end of the day. I like giving everyone's post attention, so when I feel as if I am not doing that I stop reading or else I would be done by now. A new week and a new round. I am not worried about the number because I wasn't paying any attention to what I was eating and I wasn't exercising at all so I know once I start back up today, the weight should come off pretty quick and I will start my downward trend again. I am just happy I am snapping back into it at this weight rather then waiting until I gain an extra 10+!! here is to a good round!!
11/27 148.4 late posting today, yesterday was a wash, I was all set to get some exercising in but then one thing lead to another and I didn't. today was better, got a jog in and 90 min of volleyball. I have my mind made up...I'm resetting mentally. I am starting at this weight and looking at it from a perspective of beginning again, that way I don't torture myself on the gain and the amount of days/weeks I may have wasted because of my bad week last week. Cheers to new beginnings and remembering it's only a number.
11/28147.4 I am proud of myself..a couple of weeks ago I would have seen this slow moving after a binge and get super down for the amount of time I put it on vs having to take it off in the first place...but I am at total peace, I know it will come off and there will be weeks it takes longer to melt away and there will be woooosh weeks where it seems to just slip off. I have been showing a loss trend since I started give me 10 days and at this point that's all I can ask for, regardless of it is .4th of a pound (my lowest) or 5.4 (My highest) it is going down and it works! This week I have decided to give up chocolate, I am not usually a person who believes taking some thing away but instead learning portions, moderation and balance throughout the week (which means not having your treat everyday) but I have been triggered and have been craving it a lot more then usual, so will do what I have too until I show some signs of control again
11/29 146.0 I think my body is flushing out everything I ate last week, I am hoping it keeps going and doesn't stop, at least not for another little while. Yesterday I only did about 33 odd minutes of working out, not including walks...I expected this week to be somewhat better but its still been rough. I find myself hating it when I don't get a work out in, I feel lethargic and down...sometimes even bloated without having eaten anything to cause it and when I did workout yesterday I felt so much better.. like having a shower after a long day, it woke me up, reenergized me and made me feel good...I will have to hold on to that thought and remember that feeling. My mother is still really depressed about her sisters passing (which is to be expected) and has gone as far as not wanting to put her Christmas tree up because she doesn't want to celebrate without her sister but I know that her sister would be dissapoined if my mother didn't put the tree up or if the family didn't want to celebrate. Christmas was my aunt's favorite time of the year, so although I know its a sore spot, I think we should be spending this time celebrating her life and not grieving her death..If that makes sense, but we all deal with grief differently and I know enough to allow each their own process without pressure. Having said that though, I am thinking of decorating my mother's house for her nd putting her tree up so she will have a little surprise when she gets home from work today...i honestly think it will help her and ease some pressure, time wise.

@abowersgirl Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. For your mom , maybe it would help to have a new Christmas tradition something honouring her sister. In our family we make donation gifts at Christmas on memory of our departed loved ones, picking a charity they would have supported in life. We also have an ornament on the tree devoted to each of them. Something they would have like. For my Mum I have a bird for DMIL a butterfly, for DD a book and Dear Aunt an angel. I have to add some new ones to that list this year which is hard but I think it will be helpful.7

Hi everyone ~ so happy to be here! I've been with MFP since February 2018 and have lost about 40 lbs. Early on, I weighed myself daily for a brief period but couldn't handle it!! The emotional up and downs of the scale made me a little cray cray so I stopped for the sake of my family, lol. Then between June and November I lost my mom, my job and my fitness mojo. I regained 13 lbs (including the recent holiday), but have lost 10 of it again so yayyy me. It's been very difficult to motivate myself and remain consistent, but believe I'm finally back on track and strong enough now to handle a daily weigh-in, lololo. Thanks for the opportunity.

R60 - 1st round
11/26 ~ 236.8 (up 2.6 lbs from DAYS of Holiday yumminess - no regrets!)
11/27 ~ 236.2 - been pushing more than usual to counter balance all the carbs and sugar and feeling a little sore this morning. So even though my inner competitor wants to run 10 laps, today will definitely be a rest day. (UPDATE: was feeling so good did 30 minutes of HIIT in the afternoon)
11/28 ~ 238.0 - WT? Poor sleep maybe? It better be muscle!
11/29 ~ 236.8 β Yesterday was so carb heavy I was afraid to look! But I stayed within calorie count and got in some exercise, so this time it worked like it should, lol. Definitely need to keep it simple the next few days.

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for two rounds. Round 53 was my 50 birthday celebrations that upped my weight for a few days.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

11/24 164 -- Briefly flashed half a pound down...but then insisted on this number. Good news is that the post Thanksgiving number stuck, despite eating carby left-overs yesterday! I also went for an 8 mile hilly walk to burn a bunch of calories.
11/25 163 -- Stuck to lower carbs yesterday and did 75 minutes of zumba.
11/26 162.5 -- Back to good eating. Used the elliptical and did a late night jog around the house to get up to 12,000 steps!
11/27 -- Oops. Forgot to weigh before getting dressed (which is good because it means I wasn't obsessing) and it was too cold to get undressed and weigh. With clothes on, I was 164...which is fine by me!
11/28 163 -- Bummer. Assuming it's just a normal fluctuation.
11/29 -- 162 Raked leaves, strength training and zumba yesterday. Fasted til dinner. This morning I walked and almost got my 12,000 steps! Today I'm leaving with HS Theater group. My plan is to fast until dinner and then order something reasonable. Possibly will do the same on Friday and Saturday, if it goes well. NSV -- Two other people at the gym complimented me on looking great and weight lost! Also...looked at myself in the mirror before weighing this morning and was happy with how I am starting to look. Stomach is smaller and those love handles are finally a little less droopy!

Take a deep breath. You are way overthinking this. Someone suggested a person to get to know, that's all. It doesn't even have to be a thing at all.
Go, and have fun like always, get your 250/hour steps in, and if an opportunity presents itself naturally tonight or many weeks from now, introduce yourself. That's all.9 -
@abowersgirl and @UTMom81 and others with a chocolate addiction β I had this problem too. You have to NOT have it available in ANY FORM!
@deepwoodslady Would your late husband want you to be alone for 30 years? I doubt it. Iβm old fashioned so probably wouldnβt approach the new guy but if he approaches you, talk to him. Keep going with your friend and continue to talk to the new guy if it feels comfortable. Then see what happens.

β’β’β’β’β’β’
11/24 132.5 Something I ate did not agree with me! According to my Garmin, I didnβt go to sleep until after 3 and was up just after 6. Itβs gonna be a looong day! And it seems I did not post this morning!
11/25 132.0 Thank goodness 4 days of cooking and 3 days of eating have ended! Monday Iβm starting a fat fast for 3-5 days.
11/26 133.5. What the heck? All I ate yesterday was a large Greek salad with gyro meat and small slices of the 2 keto pies left from Thanksgiving. I was under on calories, hit my protein on the nose and carbs were 1g over due to the 1/4 pita I ate. THIS is why I always say IT TAKES 2 - 3 DAYS for what I eat to show on the scale. SATURDAY the food was rich and we had a liqueur tasting. Well, it is what it is. Starting my fat fast today.
When your weight makes a CRAZY swing - look at what you ate 2 or 3 days before for an explanation.
11/27 133.5 So. . . messed up my fat fast yesterday when I made spinach for myself for dinner AND being human like everyone else here, I was angry with myself so ate the piece of Keto cake I had in the fridge from Saturday. All of the goodies are gone and husband made a lunch date with friends for tomorrow. My fat fast may be a bust but it has me very aware of my eating again and that is good.
11/28 132.0 Gym time yesterday. Drank almost a gallon of water. 1 qt extra because of gym and I know it aids muscle recovery! Going out to lunch and then the gym!
11/29 133.0 132.5 after coffee and bathroom trips (Sorry TMI)14 -
Round 60
Please join us! Starting on 11/24 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 60
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Round 60 (My 14th)
11/24 147.5 Thanksgiving binge (3 days worth!!) is in the past, I ate way too much junk but am not going to dwell on it. Today is a new day, started off well so far and hopefully will stay that way.
11/25 146.5 Hoping this doesn't go back up! I am sort of surprised because I went to a friends for football night last night and there was pina coladas and brownies. I did get some exercise in and plenty of water so I am sure that helped.
11/26 147 I really don't think yesterday's weight was correct. Either way, staying positive and happy with my weight. I didn't drink enough water yesterday though. Plan to get more in today.
11/27 147.5 High calorie dinner and cereal at midnight last night probably caused a little gain.
11/28 147 My weight has been a yo-yo this round. Today started off well and I planned to eat healthy, but my father in law dropped by unexpectedly and brought fast food.
11/29 147 Really wanted to do a fast day this round but it's not looking promising.

I also heard that sometimes it will store "common" weights and it will kind of revert back to it sometimes if your weights are near it? Not sure the legitimacy of this claim - but just for fun I step on my scale at the end of the day fully clothed or have DH stand on it every now and then to break up the pattern. New batteries may help just as well but 171 would be nice too!4 -

11/28 -181.8- This is my new maintenance weight. It's been pretty steady recently. Did really well yesterday. Going to try to do the same today. I packed some hummus today with my carrots but I just realized that one little cup is 160 calories and, as a lot of you know, that's kind of a lot of calories for someone who's in a deficit! So I think I'm just going to save it for dinner because I know I'm going to get hungry otherwise.
11/29- 181.7- I did well last night and was under calories. If I keep my calories down tonight as well then this should go down by tomorrow I think. Let's see what happens. I've been on track lately so I'm feeling good. I really just want to reach the 170s and I think we'll be there soon which is exciting! Just need to stay focused which I plan on doing.

Did better this last round, but Thanksgiving ended me kind of high. Saw 152 and 153 last round but couldnβt stay consistent. Bounced around a lot between those and 155. So my goal this round is to get 152 consistently by the end of this round. No vacations or holidays, so I should be able to focus more the next couple of rounds. I know I still have to live life and half of this journey is learning how to live and enjoy life, but at the same time not over indulging all of the time. So here is to round 60, good luck everybody!

11/24 156.7 better than my 158 yesterday but still higher than I would have liked to see. I knew it was going to be rough this weekend. My son and his girlfriend are leaving today to go back to school. So we are having a fair well lunch at this bbq place in town. Going to try and do well today and hopefully at least get back under 155 by Monday.
11/25 - 158.9 ouch! This 4 day weekend was just about as bad as my vacation a couple weeks ago. Back on track Monday morning. Hopefully I can drink lots of water and do half way decent today. Still tons of leftovers though in the house. So glad tomorrow is Monday and I can get back on schedule. Had an amazing holiday though and thatβs whatβs important.
11/26 - 157.9 Did better yesterday but, not great. I was hoping to at least see 156 something this morning, but didn't. Brought my salad to work for lunch and will make turkey pot pie for dinner (crust-less for me) and that will be the end of our leftovers. I can tell just the way my ring fits on my finger, my sodium levels are down from this weekend already. Lots of water and will stay on track this week. November has been rough. I have been all over the place. I have seen 152 all the way up to 159. I'm ready for some consistency.
11/27 - 155.5 Did good all day yesterday. Glad most of the Thanksgiving and weekend weight has fallen off. Would love to see 153 again tomorrow or at least by Friday and end November with at least a couple of pounds loss, but we will see.
11/28 - 154.1 Doing good this week. Back down to my pre-Thanksgiving wait. Actually a little lower. Youngest called from school and she was sick. So I had to leave work and stay home with her today. Kept my snacking under control which was hard since I was at home doing nothing. Did have plans for a dinner date with my hubby, but now I donβt know if we will go. We may have to postpone. We will see what the older kids are doing. I may actually finish this round with a loss! Half way through and doing well.
11/29 155.0 Normal fluctuation. My DH and I did get our date night last night. Ate sensibly, but did have an amazing margarita. On track for today and we will see what I end November with.

Skipped gym on Monday because I had too much prep to do but going today. Then itβs planning & tidying so my crazy week doesnβt derail me.

Goal 1. No eating out. I slowed it down- now time to stop. Effects the quality of my nutrition.

Iβm more concerned with getting my nutrition back where it was (Goals 1 & 2) than the scale right now since I know that re-ifocusing in them will lead to weight loss in the future (as opposed to weight gain, if I donβt get back to them.)

11/28 - 183.0 - Heading back to work today. Feeling a little better, just a little weak still. Hoping to feel good enough to get a light workout in tonight.
11/29 - 183.2 - Wasn't feeling up to working out last night, but I did make it through work without getting sick. Hope to continue improving over the rest of the challenge. Not even really worried about weight right now.

Day/Weight/Comment
11/24--219.7 Movie and dinner tonight. Hopefully weather holds up so that I can take dog out for a long walk...dog hates the rain.
11/25--218.9 Weather held up yesterday and was able to take dog out. Didn't see a movie, nothing really interested me, but I did go out for dinner. I had planned what I was going to eat before I went out and it was a great feeling to be satisfied and not overly full after going out for dinner. I've already gone out to the gym for today and later today my husband and I are purging the laundry room/storage area and removing some very old/inefficient cabinets in there. Our plan is to eventual paint and lay flooring over the next couple of weekends. Need to get my water in today.
11/26--218.6 Worked on purging the laundry room/storage area yesterday and there is so much more room already. Sore for the gym yesterday. Didn't get all of my water in yesterday, but definitely more than I usually get on the weekend. Working on water again today.
11/27--218.6 Woke up early and went to the gym before going to work. Went to the nutritionist and went over the results of the food allergy test. Not unexpected, but based on the results she wants me to go on an elimination diet starting with eliminating dairy, wheat, and a couple of other foods that I seem to be sensitive to. It's only going to be for 3 weeks before I can start adding back some foods and testing how these foods affect me . She admitted to me that the first week is going to be horrible. After going food shopping, and getting myself mentally prepared, I plan on starting either Friday or Saturday...it's going to be a struggle.
11/28--218.0 Yoga tonight.
11/29--219.5 I'm sure the increase is from DOMS and from the fact that last night I had cookie from one of my favorite bakeries, knowing that I won't be able to have one for awhile, and while it affected my stomach it was really good. Went and did some food shopping and bought some alternatives to foods that I will have to eliminate for awhile. Plan is to start tomorrow.
