$368 at the low estimate, but at least I didn't spend that all at once. “Cheap hobby” my sweet aunt Fanny.
@amymoreorless You need the Christmas Tree to be built as a cape that hangs off your shoulders and Flows out behind you so it keeps your Knee-Leg movement free. A few Flashing Dog Safety Collars attached and you are set.

i just wear some light gloves. my hands get very sweaty
did another little putzy mile
this is the look i'm getting from speed demon when i blow my nose.
nonrunning-how sick am i-story. lost my car keys. speed demon had jumped the gate and was stuck on the stairs when i got home so i rushed in to rescue her. then the foster was terrorizing the crate.
so i went to leave to teach the aerial yoga classes. can't find my keys. no time-grab my spares and go
come home and do my mile dashing from one place to the other. upstairs, down stairs from one side to the other of the house. check my coat pockets, check my vest, check my pants and leggings. no keys. decide it's a lost cause.
this morning when i pull into work, put my spares in my coat pocket. pocket feels weird. original pair of keys found in my coat pocket.
you guys i've discovered a wormhole. in. my. coat. pocket.
it's the only explanation as i checked that pocket a million times

Which are only $20 on Amazon.
you're actually better off putting the handwarmer by the wrist - that's where the veins reach the surface, and you will get warmer fingers quicker. Like this (but maybe not fingerless!!)

Got out today for another "icicles in the beard" run. Maybe I am too harsh on myself for yesterday, but I thought the footing was just too dangerous. Today I spent most of my time on the road, dodging cars. At any rate, made my goal.8 -

NOPE.
I have tried that. Does not work. I have to apply the heat directly to the fingertips.0 -
Tuesday's 2 mile run was supposed to be today, now that I got my training plan fixed. So today's run was Tuesday's plan: 2.79 miles with the dogs. I took it easy, trying to keep my heart rate below "zone 5" - HA! I'm too out of shape apparently. About 50/50 between zones 4 and 5 according to Garmin. Probably too soon for me to use that as a gauge.
November goal was 28 miles. After this morning, I have 27.23. So Close!

On another note, I just looked them up in the U.K. There appears to be a ‘hand orientation’ option. What does that mean? Are there people with two left hands? Two right? Back to front?
I lost a single running glove once (stuffed them into my pocket after getting warmed up, never noticed when one of them fell out). I bought a pair of the same model again, and am keeping the right one as a "spare". Of course, most likely the next time I lose one, it will be the left again, and I will end up with two spare right gloves

Whoo hoo! I made my goal! This morning I got up early and ran 5 miles. It was 53F feels like 50F so I figured that would be a lot better than the 70+ temperatures at lunchtime or after work. It is already 66F and the forecast shows 79F for this afternoon. I really enjoyed the run this morning. It was perfect running weather. I wore capris and a long sleeve shirt. I started out a little chilly, but not too cold and felt really good the whole run. The sky was clear and the stars looked so bright. I was glad to see some light toward the end of my run. I really wish I could just run around 7 or 8 am most days. I felt like I was dressed right for the run in my long sleeved shirt. I really think I need sleeves though. I might have taken them off the last mile and a half this morning. But I was glad I had long sleeves instead of a jacket because sometimes with a jacket my torso gets too warm, and even if I take the jacket off I have to tie it around my waist and that can be warm too, plus it is annoying. I'm sure by the time I figure out how to dress for the cool weather winter in Texas will be over and it will just be hot again.

@RunsOnEspresso We have the same run in my area with the Mrs. Claus set!! I was seriously considering it if I can get someone to do it with me! Not a tutu person myself, but I also really liked the sleeves and socks. Super festive!

Ran about 5.5 miles last night. Absolutely perfect night for a run! I am loving the November weather here for outdoor running. This time last year I wasn't running all that regularly and I don't remember it being so nice!
So, definitely not making goal. I realized when I set my goal I was accounting for my warm-up and cool-down walks in the distance estimates, but I haven't been logging them. Makes me feel a little better about my total distance being so far off this month.

I said it once before: what a November this has been for me! I've gotten back on track, I've run distances that I've only ever typed out from a running plan, never even comprehended doing with my own feet. I'm breaking my own PB's and even though are still those "Oh gawd, why are you running woman?!" moments, I'm getting my joy back. I can't recall the last time I've run this many miles in a month. Whenever I started 10K training, something always happened to derail me, so I figured might as well go to the next level up & train for a 15K. Guess that was the trick!
This morning's run was a chilly one: 45, felt like 40 (yippppeeeee!) started later than I wanted to, 3 miles planned. I ran. Kept going. Told myself "1 mile, then you can walk for 1 min". Watch buzzed for the 1 mile. Kept running. Buzzed for mile 2. Ran a few more mins, then "lower GI issues" drew me to a walk, eventually a pause before I ran again to the end. Saw I was close to my mark, so I "had" to go a full 5K to see if I could top myself....PR: 2 miles! 2nd best 1 miles & 1K times! 3rd best 5K time! Consistency pays off!
Tomorrow is a rest day, may do some yoga, and Saturday starts December off with a 7 mile run planned & only 2 weeks to the 15K!
11/1 - 2.01
11/6 - 4.01
11/8 - 3.01
11/10 - 5.01
11/13 - 4.01
11/15 - 3.10
11/17 - 6.01
11/20 - 3.01
11/22 - 3.21
11/24 - 4.00
11/27 - 5.01
11/29 - 3.10 miles - 45.58 miles total

@skippygirlsmom Sorry to read about Skip. Glad she was able to come home. My son is in his fourth year, and the university workload and deadlines have enough stress without adding those issues. My son transferred in his second year (he switched from a music major to a political science-history-French major), and he is generally happy, except for the last two weeks of every semester when it becomes a panic to handle all the deadlines. He's enjoying the academic life so much, it's possible he may be a student forever! Hope she finds a much better fit. You'll both grow from this experience, and your relationship will as well. Hugs.
I was overwhelmed after Sunday's long run (and maybe in something of a post-birthday funk). After not managing to make myself get out or work out for a few days, I decided to just run for thirty minutes without alerts or looking at my watch (much) today.
I have to reevaluate my plan and what I want. I signed up for a half-marathon in May, even though I knew I shouldn't. My brain doesn't want to accept where my body is at. Work is so busy Dec-April, and I won't be able to put in the time or handle the extra stress. I'm finding the 10K plan I'm doing is already getting too long for me. It's an old story, but I don't want to quit altogether as I've done in the past. I have to learn to accept where I'm at and keep improving.
2.15 miles
MTD: 45.44 miles / 45 - done!6 -
Morning. Last day of November. Wow crazy month. Given my goal was to complete the Kerikeri Half Marathon, goal done! Decembers goal is going to be a streak, and will think about distances. I am doing 90k in the first 12 days for a virtual run.5

@elise4270 - Hahahahaha
@mbaker566 - my daughter's chocolate lab freaks out when anyone sneezes or blows their nose, it seems to just terrify him. It's a real issue when we visit since my husband has terrible allergies and has to do those often. Hope you feel better soon!
@amymoreorless - hope you feel better too!
It is pouring here for the first time in forever... Really wishing I could go for a rain run! Good news is 2 weeks down 6 to go!
I am trying to figure out if there will be anyway I will be able to run the HM in early February that I signed up for after I ran it this last February.
Also more retail therapy, thanks to @RunsOnEspresso. Oh I saw a license plate yesterday that made me think of you... the personalized plate was CFFEEGRL and the frame said 'Runs on Caffiene'4 -
