This is a poll. I think most people go with something like cream or honey, but some folks get really creative.

Usually milk and protein powder, sometimes with PB2. Sometimes cinnamon or fruit (berries, peaches, etc.).

Skim milk and sugar. I have a low calorie max so I can't afford to be very creative.

Egg, cinnamon, peanut butter, brown sugar are my usual with some banana on top.

Some days I add protein powder or collagen powder.

Cinnamon and Splenda. I use my Saigon cinnamon since it is best in things that do not get baked

A little maple syrup goes a long way, and usually blueberries and strawberries or raspberries.

I tried a savoury oatmeal bowl once and my brain could not compute.

Raisins (or dried cranberries), cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and milk. That time with the turmeric was an accident. So was the time with the citric acid. :s

Steel-cut oatmeal, diced dried apricots cooked in the oatmeal to soften them, chopped walnuts and a dash or two of cinnamon at the end. I like to sweeten it with sugar-free maple-flavored syrup, or stevia - and a splash of cream to add richness

For breakfast: banana, blueberries, honey, cinammon, chia seeds and unsweetened cacao powder. Everytime I have this for breakfast, it keeps me full for many hours and I dont crave carbs at all.
Breakfast no2: baked oatmeal with apples and cinammon, topped with greek yoghurt and pomegranate seeds.
Lunch: diced turkey and gouda slices with an egg, tomatoea and baby spinach.

Homemade jam. I prefer raspberry as it has a stronger flavor but am using strawberry right now. I have it for breakfast every morning.

I'm pretty boring. Hehe. I generally use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, butter, and some stevia.

When I "do" oatmeal, I add one tablespoon of flax meal and a generous sprinkling of cinnamon; nothing else. This combo does me good. Used to add maple syrup but have eliminated that addition.

For savory, generally just salt and pepper, if I'm eating it as a side. If it's my main dish, I'll likely add a fried or poached egg or two, and maybe some sauteed greens (spinach, kale, collards, etc.) or something kimchi-like (If I'm doing cheese in a hot grain, I prefer grits or farina.)

For sweet, the possibilities are endless: fresh, frozen, or dried fruit; applesauce; brown sugar, honey, or molasses; cinnamon; protein powder; nuts, including shredded coconut; vanilla or other extracts ...

I cook it with chia seeds in milk or coconut milk, then add cinnamon, frozen blueberries or banana, and when it has cooled it off a bit, I add egg white protein powder. I sometimes add almond butter or just have some nuts on the side.

Brace yourself for a long list: Mixed berries, blackstrap molasses, walnuts, milled flax seed, hemp seed, cinnamon, Greek yogurt.

It's the heart of my day, breakfast or lunch nearly every day. Love my oatmeal (thick rolled oats, water - not packets)!
