Inspired by @HaleCry and her lovely 10lb-by-New-Year thread, here's a new challenge: Lose 10lbs by 14th February.

I'll start: I'm 170.5 today. So aiming for 160.5 in roughly 8 weeks. That seems doable for me given I still have 43lbs to lose!

I'd like to lose around 10lbs of maintenance creep, was going to start after the holidays but there's no reason to put it off so I'll join you
I'm eating away from home all day today so I'll do a weigh-in tomorrow and start then!5 -
I'm not sure this is doable for me, but I'll try. Really need a jump start. I've been stalled for a few years, but I haven't pressured myself due to grief, anxiety, etc. It's time for me to get back on track though.
Just weighed myself (although I also just finished breakfast): 137 lbs
My current goal is 115. WHEN (not if) I reach that, I'll reevaluate. My doctor wants me below 120. (My highest weight was 190.)
Thanks for starting this. For what it's worth, feel free to tag me, message me, etc. I could use the support/encouragement/reminders, and I sometimes forget I joined a challenge.

I started in the New Year thread as well. Since we have eight weeks, I'm shooting for eight pounds. It's the sustainable choice for me.
Here are my stats:
SW 11/12/18 179.4 lbs
CW 171 lbs
GW for the New Year: 169 lbs
GW for Valentine's Day: 163 lbs

I'm in! I want to reach my goal weight in 2019 and I need to be as focused as possible to make it happen.
CW 11/16/18: 216.8 lbs
GW for Valentine's Day: 206.0 lbs

i would love to attain a10 pound weight loss by 14 feb but will be happy with an 8 pound loss too.

So here's a disclaimer: If 10lbs in 8.5 weeks (c.1.2lbs a week) seems unrealistic for you based on your current weight (i.e. you don't have much to lose) or your preferred rate of loss, then don't feel you can't join in. Just pick a target that makes sense for your situation!

I’ll join, but am already in the New Years Challenge. So I’ll log my weigh in here on Mon the 31st, and might shoot for a 5lb loss until V-day. Why not keep it going, right?5

I want to be fine-tuning a maintenance zone by Valentines Day. For me, that would a 4 lb range with a maximum top edge of 139. Once I am there, I may decide to make 135 the MIDDLE instead of the bottom .... or even the top edge. At 60 yrs old, shooting for the dead-centre (despite an average bone frame - neither robust nor fine-boned) of the BMI range for my height - 124.4 - is just not realistic any more.
As of today - 144.6

Well, my 10lb in 10 weeks for new year seems to be falling short, so I am keen to join here and keep going.

I’m in, though I don’t know how all this friends stuff works on MFP, I’ve only ever used it for logging (sporadically and not with exact amounts ) and looking at food ideas in the community bit!
I’m currently 164 lbs, my weight has really creeped up in the last year and I hate it! My goal weight ideally is 140lbs but will settle for 1455 -
Ill join but 6-8 is a healthier and more obtainable goal for me.1

Hi Everyone, my goal this past year was to lose 50 pounds by 12/27/18, well, I'm down 49.8. With Christmas on the 25th I may need some luck for the 12/27/18 weigh in! I still have 15 pounds to go. So, I'm going to take the challenge of 8 pounds by Feb. 14! Good luck to everyone!!!9

Ok. I’m in. Highest weight was 155 when I restarted this app this year. I’m down 3.5 with some overhaul of my activity and some changes in my diet including daily logs where I try to be super honest because I learn where my issues lie (beer, snacks, and coffee treats.). I’ll weigh in tomorrow, guessing I’m still in the lower 150’s so I’d be thrilled with 140 but I’ll be specific to 10 lbs when I weigh in. Thanks for being “in the same boat” because this struggle is real!!!2

I would love to do this! I weighed in on Friday at 208.4. I ultimately want to get down to 140 but for this challenge I would like to get to 199 by Valentine’s Day to be in the 100 club! 😊7
