There is a short, sleeveless dress hanging in my closet that I want to rock for my birthday in March.
I’m thinking I’m about 10lbs and 30 workouts from looking damn good in it!6 -

-

I’m also trying to not gain over Christmas/ out of town/vacation. Also my goal is to increase my exercise to 5 times a week for at least 20 minutes per session.4

I'm taking my mother on a surprise trip to the Canary Islands at the end of January for some midwinter sunshine (it's her Christmas gift - and she has no idea), and I'm hoping I can lose another 7lbs and look extra fabulous in my new retro style swimsuit.10

trying to stay under control for eating in the next 2 days but not denying myself something I really want5

I want to actively work towards some of my bucket list items in 2019 (instead of just writing them down and dreaming about doing them). So, when I'm no longer lying about my weight on my driver's license...which should be sometime this spring...I'm finally going to take a class and get my motorcycle classification. I probably can't afford an actual motorcycle next year, but at least this will be a first step.10

Getting to goal ... which 50+ pounds later is only 2.9 pounds sway8

NOT eating my feelings is my current goal. In addition to general winter depression, anxiety, and sleeplessness I'm having tense holiday times with a loved one. My stomach is in knots and I'm feeling queasy and shaky right now after a run-in while I prepare Christmas Eve dinner. My first instinct was to settle my stomach with a cheesy snack or something, but I suppose that's not the answer (especially with a big dinner coming up in a few hours).10

UPDATE: I managed. After the holiday dinner my calorie count was of course over for the day but nowhere near as bad as it could have been.19 -

Stick with it! The more you practice feeling your feelings and not eating them the easier it gets! I’ve been stress eating my whole life but I’m finally learning that my feelings are just feelings and nothing to be scared of. Don’t let that difficult person have power over what you put in your mouth!7 -

Boom baby!! Feels good to hit these mini goals! When I started, I was a Kohl’s 16 and now I’m a Lulu 10 (albeit a bit snug! But at those prices, gotta make it last! 😱😆) Next mini-goal... single digits! Happy New Year everyone!!

Getting into size 16 jeans. I'm in 18's right now. Tossed out all but one pair of my 22's from last year. Tossing the 20's as well. There's no going back from this this time!9

I want to loose another 20 lbs by April. Going to Daytona Beach for the National College Cheerleading Championships to see my daughter in her very FINAL cheer competition. Been cheering her on since 2004!10

Well my mini goal is still to get to 85cm waist. I'm losing weight and lost 1cm in my waist last month. I'm now the weight I was at my wedding (average bmi) but with arm muscles (from carrying toddlers) and a postpartum belly6

Giving to charity rather than tossing?3 -
My next mini-goal is completing the Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred in January. I did really well with my diet in 2018 and lost 28 lbs. Now I want to do just as well with my exercise while I lose the last 28 lbs.7

Mini-goal 2: Hit 25% of target. Aiming for this by mid-August, just ahead of my friend's wedding.
Mini-goal 1 achieved this morning! 😀
(Existing) Mini-goal 2: Hit 25% of target. Aiming for this by mid-August, just ahead of my friend's wedding.
(New) Mini-goal 3: Build enough strength to start a progressive lifting programme like stronglifts. Aiming for early October. (Hopefully sooner but even bodyweight squats are currently a challenge.)
Just met Mini-goal 2 this morning!! I'm delighted. I really needed a boost after a really tough week.
Mini-goal 4: I have a fortnight until my friend's wedding and my new mini-goal for that day is to be able to zip up my pretty new dress without hurting my fingertips! (And then to find as many opportunities as I can to wear it before it gets too small!! )
Mini-goal 5: To be brave enough to try a new activity with a social dimension. More than anything else, this will push me out of my comfort zone.
Mini-goal 6: To reach a loss of 2 stone (28lbs/12.7kgs). This would bring me just over 33% to goal. Aiming for this by 15 September at the latest.
Mini-goals 4, 5 (SUP counts, right? Especially when everyone comes up to commiserate with you for falling in?!) and 6 all met as of this morning!
3. I'm still working on building enough strength to start a progressive lifting programme, so it will be a while before I get there.
7. In the meantime, my first new mini-goal is to stay on track - for a 7lb overall loss for September - when I am travelling for work for 2 weeks later this month. I have just started c25k, so hopefully I can use the hotel fitness centre to keep that going...and substitute for my usual daily 90 minutes of walking.
8. My somewhat ambitious 8th goal is to hit the midpoint of this journey by Hallowe'en! If I can maintain my current rate of loss, I will just manage it, but the upcoming fortnight out of my routine could throw a spanner in the works!
Ticking off Goals 7 and 8 as complete! I am now halfway to goal, and simultaneously 3 stone (42 lbs) down from my starting weight!
My new mini-goals are:
9. To finish c25k (distance version). I'm currently on week 7, so hopefully this day week I will complete it!
10. Onederland! Hoping to reach this by the time I start a new job in 3 weeks.
11. To have lost another stone (14 lbs) by New Year's Day. I gained 55lbs over a very stressful 2-year period that ended this summer. I want to start 2019 having lost every single one of those unhappy lbs!
Goal 9 completed! I finished c25k to schedule, and I'm now working on building up my running outside with Zombies, Run! since all my training was on a treadmill. It's so much more interesting when you have something to look at other than a tv screen looping songs you can't hear and ads for the gym! I've tried to 'get fit' before but this is the first time I really feel like I'm getting somewhere!
Goal 10 - achieved a little later than hoped, but only by 3 days (and following a week of holidays!)! And today I passed the -50lbs threshold!
Goal 11 - on track!
Goal 12 (new) - to run 50km between today and Christmas. I have a lot going on outside of work in the next month so this will be a challenge to fit in...Which should incentivise me to make my 5k runs a bit longer each time!
Goal 11 completed! Roll on 2019 without all that baggage! 💫
Goal 12 didn't happen as I hurt my knee quite soon after and I have been very gentle with it since. (I got to about 20km though, which is 20km more than over the same period in 2017!) I am extending my own deadline to complete this to the end of January!
Goal 13 (new) is to pass the threshold to normal BMI by the end of March. I will then be as light as I have ever been in the past 15 years!11 -
I want to get out of the 200s, so I've got 10lbs to go!!!9
-
Being able to run 10-minute miles for at least 3 miles COMFORTABLY (right now I'm doing half-mile intervals at a 10:43 pace)5
-
To be the best version of myself8
-
Small steps at a time. First goal - get under 200 lbs.8
-
To lose all the pounds I regained over Christmas. I'd just reached within touching distance of my first goal weight6
