Mini-goal 2: Hit 25% of target. Aiming for this by mid-August, just ahead of my friend's wedding.
Mini-goal 1 achieved this morning! 😀
(Existing) Mini-goal 2: Hit 25% of target. Aiming for this by mid-August, just ahead of my friend's wedding.
(New) Mini-goal 3: Build enough strength to start a progressive lifting programme like stronglifts. Aiming for early October. (Hopefully sooner but even bodyweight squats are currently a challenge.)
Just met Mini-goal 2 this morning!! I'm delighted. I really needed a boost after a really tough week.
Mini-goal 4: I have a fortnight until my friend's wedding and my new mini-goal for that day is to be able to zip up my pretty new dress without hurting my fingertips! (And then to find as many opportunities as I can to wear it before it gets too small!! )
Mini-goal 5: To be brave enough to try a new activity with a social dimension. More than anything else, this will push me out of my comfort zone.
Mini-goal 6: To reach a loss of 2 stone (28lbs/12.7kgs). This would bring me just over 33% to goal. Aiming for this by 15 September at the latest.
Mini-goals 4, 5 (SUP counts, right? Especially when everyone comes up to commiserate with you for falling in?!) and 6 all met as of this morning!
3. I'm still working on building enough strength to start a progressive lifting programme, so it will be a while before I get there.
7. In the meantime, my first new mini-goal is to stay on track - for a 7lb overall loss for September - when I am travelling for work for 2 weeks later this month. I have just started c25k, so hopefully I can use the hotel fitness centre to keep that going...and substitute for my usual daily 90 minutes of walking.
8. My somewhat ambitious 8th goal is to hit the midpoint of this journey by Hallowe'en! If I can maintain my current rate of loss, I will just manage it, but the upcoming fortnight out of my routine could throw a spanner in the works!
Ticking off Goals 7 and 8 as complete! I am now halfway to goal, and simultaneously 3 stone (42 lbs) down from my starting weight!
My new mini-goals are:
9. To finish c25k (distance version). I'm currently on week 7, so hopefully this day week I will complete it!
10. Onederland! Hoping to reach this by the time I start a new job in 3 weeks.
11. To have lost another stone (14 lbs) by New Year's Day. I gained 55lbs over a very stressful 2-year period that ended this summer. I want to start 2019 having lost every single one of those unhappy lbs!
Goal 9 completed! I finished c25k to schedule, and I'm now working on building up my running outside with Zombies, Run! since all my training was on a treadmill. It's so much more interesting when you have something to look at other than a tv screen looping songs you can't hear and ads for the gym! I've tried to 'get fit' before but this is the first time I really feel like I'm getting somewhere!
Goal 10 - achieved a little later than hoped, but only by 3 days (and following a week of holidays!)! And today I passed the -50lbs threshold!
Goal 11 - on track!
Goal 12 (new) - to run 50km between today and Christmas. I have a lot going on outside of work in the next month so this will be a challenge to fit in...Which should incentivise me to make my 5k runs a bit longer each time!
Goal 11 completed! Roll on 2019 without all that baggage! 💫
Goal 12 didn't happen as I hurt my knee quite soon after and I have been very gentle with it since. (I got to about 20km though, which is 20km more than over the same period in 2017!) I am extending my own deadline to complete this to the end of January!
Goal 13 (new) is to pass the threshold to normal BMI by the end of March. I will then be as light as I have ever been in the past 15 years!11 -
I want to get out of the 200s, so I've got 10lbs to go!!!9
-
Being able to run 10-minute miles for at least 3 miles COMFORTABLY (right now I'm doing half-mile intervals at a 10:43 pace)5
-
To be the best version of myself8
-
Small steps at a time. First goal - get under 200 lbs.8
-
To lose all the pounds I regained over Christmas. I'd just reached within touching distance of my first goal weight6
-
I am focusing right now on getting below 200, which is right around 30 lbs. I am thinking within the next couple of months I can make that a reality.8
-
I am focused on getting to 160 (have to lose 5 pounds) to be lightest I’ve been in a year and a half. Ultimate goal is 120, but once I stop gaining and losing the same 10, will be easier to motivate myself.7

6 pack by 40! It was my goal when I started this journey at 37 and 293 lbs. Got 4 of the 6 starting to show now at 185 lbs. Need about 10 more lbs to make it happen I believe. 10 months to 40th b-day.15

180 lbs. by 1/31/2019.5

Under 200 pounds which is only 8.6 pounds to go. I got down to 5 before the holidays and have not been focusing but back on it today and working my way there.6

I have a seasonal mini goal. And, that is to stay in shape and improve my fitness level so that I can go HIKING in the Spring ... without complaining that my legs hurt, I'm tired, I can't climb that ... haha11

1. Stay within maintenance range for one more month (two months so far and counting)
2. Exercise five times a week for at least 30 minutes.9 -
Waking up feeling well-rested and being able to look in the mirror and say “you truly look happy, healthy, and glowing.”
It’s one thing (and appreciated) to hear it from others, but more than Anything, I can’t wait to feel that way about myself again .5 -
The company I work for has an annual meeting, which is the first week in March. I was a top seller last year, which means at the final dinner gala I'll walk the stage and say a few things in front of 800 people. I want to look freaking AMAZING!13

To lose 27 lbs and reach 250 lbs. I haven't been that weight since I moved in 2011. It'd be nice to get back to where I started when I started living here... and then after that goal, it'll be 230.. which would be the lowest i've been in my adult life... probably 2006/2007 ish.9
