The Challenge:
I am challenging you to reach or get closer to your goal and post it. Memorial Day is only fourteen weeks away! Can you make your goal?? I know I wan to. Post once a week. here is the form:

My Story:
My family goes on a river trip to the Colorado river every year for memorial weekend. It’s big all our friends and family are going to be there and it’s bathing suits, swimming and boating the whole time. I need to be ready to bear it all in front of everyone. in 100 degree temps there is really no other choice. So I need to DO IT already. Beach Body Here I COME!!

Personal challenge. Keep excercising regularily, add more weights.
Cardio 45-90 minutes 6-7 days per week. Strength 30-60 minutes 2-3 days per week.
I eat and exercise to lose 1 lb week (according to the guidlines) but I seem to lose at a much slower rate. But at least I'm going in the right direction!0 -

I'm in. Ideally I would like to be under 167 by May for my PT test, but I feel that goal may be a bit to ambitious, so while I will secretly strive for that I would still be estatic if I reach the goal below.

I am currently doing very good at getting workouts in as long as it is a day I work... would like to get better about doing things on my off days! Would like to be able to complete my 1.5 mile run in under 15:18 by May. Once it warms up I will have a better idea of how far off I really am from that.

Tuesday update.....
I achieved my personal challenge (the crunches) for today.
(I think if I log whether I do it or not will help me achieve this goal .... if I don't log it to everyone I will forget about it .... my own way of working toward this).

Yes, I have a personal goal/challenge of getting to the gym at least 3 days this week. I went yesterday, so will shoot for at least 2 more days (if not more). Plus, I play and run around with my 15 month old son...that should count for something right???? hehe0

Well, I did all of my ab work ..... my abs are sore and they were telling me not to do it ..... but I did it!!!
As an added note .... I was under my calorie intake today and I wasn't hungry!!! YEAH!!0 -

I am doing the JULY challenge as well, but it never hurts to have more goals to shoot for along the way. I originally wanted to reach my final goal by my 30th birthday (June 1), but I think it is going to take me a little bit longer than that. So!
Current weight: 193.2 (Tues)
Goal weight: 175
Goal weight loss a week: 1.5 lbs
Pounds lost this week: 0 - since this is the first week! But 1.5 since last week.
pounds lost total: 0 - again, since this is the first week. But 17 lbs overall.
My new personal goal is to try and get to 10,000 steps 5 days of the week. I just got a pedometer and was amazed to see that my typical number of steps (not counting the gym) is less than 3000. :frown: So I want to start taking more walks at work and slowly work up my count. I may even (gulp) try to park farther from the door - a really hard thing to do in the arctic wind chills we've been having lately! BRRRRR!0 -

Story: My boyfriends family are HUGE summer people. They have several cabins up north on lakes and the summers are filled with swimming and boating and bathing suites. Well, I didn't make it to the gym to weigh in yesterday morning. The base was closed due to an ice storm. Wednesday afternoon I was 202 which is the same as last week, so I am hoping that is actually a 1 lb lose figuring that I weigh less in the morning. But I guess I will know for sure next Tuesday as that is the next time I will be at the gym in the morning. I don't have a scale at home... that keeps me from obsesing too much. Plus as far as the AF is concerned only their scales count as "official" I did however lose 1.25" off my waist!!!

Hi All!
I would love to join in the challenge if that's ok. I am new here... ok a lurker for 3 weeks on the boards but learning a lot. My next goal was to get some motivation to keep going (as if that scale going down isn't enough??) My ultimate goal is to reach a healthy weight for me (135-145 lbs) I started at 200 and now weigh 191. :happy:
