I’ve been in maintenance for several months until the holidays, content at around 146. I am now OVER the point at which I didn’t want to be again (150), so I’ll be getting back on track to lose back down to at least around 146 or so. May try to go lower in the new year, but we will see. For the immediate future, I just want to get and stay back under 150.

I find that I am so unfit that even just walking is tough. Anyway, I shall continue as far as I can and try to remain focused on my exercise commitments this month. Eating is still a train wreck. Toast and jam and banana with diet coke for breakfast. At least I had a bottle of water before assaulting my system with garbage.
I know how you feel friend, but trust it WILL get easier. When I joined MFP last January I was 278 pounds of pure weakness. I started exercising in a chair, and much I still have to do that way!! But you know what? At the end of the year, I'm 50 pounds and 20 inches smaller than when I started. Cut yourself some slack my friend and just baby step your way ~ commitment and consistency will get you where ever you want to go!! You can do it 😃16 -
Hope you feel better @tiabirdie56 ~ fighting a similar something 🤧4

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40, thanks @GrandmaJackie. My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

You know, there are only 5 pounds between my current weight and the lowest full 10 day average I recorded about 8 months ago. But that 5 pounds makes a huge difference in how I feel and therefore, in my choices about food and exercise. I am SUPER glad I am acting now, instead of "waiting" to gain most of it back... like last time... thank you friends. This thread is awesomely motivational.15

01/03 - Thursday - 177.4 - Man, its incredible how quickly things snowball! My holiday indulgences have done a number on my habits. I've got all these cravings and little desire to stick to my habits. I know this too shall pass but its currently an uphill battle. Fortunately this time, I know its not the beginning of the end, just another opportunity to hone my skills and habits and learn a little along the way. In past attempts, these stumbles were the end of my journey but not this time - its really a lifestlye change finally!!!
01/04 - Friday - 176.4 - A mildly better day yesterday. I ate fast food at lunch because I was on my own and didnt bring anything. Then I had more fast food for a snack. But I went for a power walk before I left work, and ate a light dinner and it all worked out. Baby steps. I did pack my lunch today, but minimal stuff in the house for food tonight - maybe an aldi shop tonight? Why is it so hard to remember how to eat in healthy moderation all of a sudden? Time to take a look back at my diary and refresh.

ROUND 64 (Round 11 for me)
5’5” 66 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 135-140 lb.
Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. I don’t use my KetoMojo meter every day, but I think I’ve only been out of ketosis for a couple of days since the second week when the meter arrived. Some of my NSVs: feeling less self-conscious, wedding band fits, smaller clothing, and my happy husband, whether he’s inspired to quit his cigarette habit or not. Rounds 54 – 63 resulted in a cumulative loss of 29.6 lb. in 100 days! Another 12.4 lb. down, and I’ll switch to maintenance. This time, I’ll continue to check in—I’ve learned my lesson! Besides, I like hanging out with you sweet folks.
Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 147.2 Going back to work yesterday felt strange. I hadn’t been to work since mid-April (end of tax season). I didn’t have time to eat breakfast (egg, cheese, nuts, avocado), so I took it with me, but forgot to eat it. I took my turkey cabbage stew for lunch, which I ate, and I had a good dinner when I came home. On the way home, I picked up a pair of well-fitting black slacks at the Salvation Army Store. It’s a great place for “transition” clothing, and every Wednesday all the clothing is ½ price. My husband loves the inexpensive designer shirts I pick up for him. 😊
01/04 146.6 I left the house without posting yesterday morning, and, accidentally, posted twice last night! I apologize for being flaky. After playing cards with my friends for a few hours yesterday, I noticed sunshine, so Thor and I took a 4-mile walk. I haven’t formed an opinion on my new orthotics yet. On the walk, I had a little toe pain, but not enough to slow us down. The torn meniscus in my knee seems to be healing. It may just be the steroid injection working, but I hope it’s actually healing.

So, 1/4 224.4, down from 228 on January 1. That's typical for me so I'm not overly excited although I'll take it! "Typical for me" meaning as soon as I stop eating junk, especially after all the holiday junk, I drop weight easily. It's later on when it becomes more difficult.
Whatever works for you! Just hang in there. You're off to a great start! I keep my post in a Word document that I update and post daily, but I didn't post early yesterday and ended up posting twice last night. I could blame it on my age, but I've been absent-minded all my life. You're here, and you're doing fine!5 -
This is my first time doing a ten day challenge. I’m excited, hoping to see a positive change in my weight loss efforts.

01/03. Pre-Logging my food. Three meals and a snack. A mile on the treadmill done. Another mile to go outside. Chilly and rainy today. My dog loves to go, but she has an upset stomach. I’ve been cuddling with her on the couch because she looked so miserable, but just about to brave the weather. Adjusting my calories so I can have a roasted turkey sub tonight. (Half size) Had Panera yesterday and will again today for lunch. Dropping water weight but I’ll take it!
