Hi y’all. I’m new to this challenge. 41 yo woman, 5’5”, looking to lose 30 pounds.
I have struggled to believe I can do it, and every time I fail it reinforces the negative. I know I can break that cycle!
Hurt my knee on the 31st, the day before I was going to “start” again. But I am determined not to let it derail me. I’m doing what I can do. NO EXCUSES.
My plan -4 stars available daily
Weight daily, water (64 oz), walking (20 min activity of some sort daily), watching (track food )
1/2 168.5 - 4 star
1/3 165.8 - 3 star (needed more water)

Back again for another round! I gotta quit slacking though. I had a really great first round and a couple disappointing rounds since then. I'd LOVE to lose anything over 2lbs. Even 2.1 would be exciting.

Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 160.0 Got in 58 minutes of strength training this morning. Tried to run after work, but my knee is not fully cooperating yet. I'm very sad about that as running is my therapy and helps me keep weight off. Sigh. It just started bothering me on Monday -- I think I banged it too hard coming down to the floor during a workout. I'm hoping it gets better by Saturday as I'm supposed to run my first 5K of 2019.

ROUND 64 (Round 11 for me)
5’5” 66 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 135-140 lb.
Started Keto WOE, and my first round, on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. I don’t use my KetoMojo meter every day, but I think I’ve only been out of ketosis for a couple of days since the second week when the meter arrived. Some of my NSVs: feeling less self-conscious, wedding band fits, smaller clothing, and my happy husband, whether he’s inspired to quit his cigarette habit or not. Rounds 54 – 63 resulted in a cumulative loss of 29.6 lb. in 100 days! Another 12.4 lb. down, and I’ll switch to maintenance. This time, I’ll continue to check in—I’ve learned my lesson! You folks are stuck with me.

01/03 147.2 I thought I posted before I ran out the door this morning, but I can't find it, so I must have been too rushed. Going back to work yesterday felt strange. I hadn’t been to work since mid-April (end of tax season). I didn’t have time to eat breakfast yesterday (egg, cheese, nuts, avocado), so I took it with me, but forgot to eat it. I took my turkey cabbage stew for lunch, which I ate, and I had a good dinner when I came home. On the way home, I picked up a pair of well-fitting black slacks at the Salvation Army Store. It’s a great place for “transition” clothing, and every Wednesday all the clothing is ½ price. My husband loves the inexpensive designer shirts I pick up for him. 😊

I feel your pain! I've been walking and wanted to get back into running (still do), but on my first day of C25K everything seemed well, except for a slight twinge when I was running, but that afternoon and the next few days, I could barely bend my knee. The doctor said I had a torn meniscus, probably sustained before I ran, that was aggravated by the running. I don't know about that, but he gave me a steroid injection. I know I should have been doing strengthening exercises before I attempted running again. Hopefully, I'll get a second chance. I hope you're okay for your 5K this weekend! Those are fun. Just be careful.

01/03 - 150 (-0.4 from yesterday, -0.4 from round start) Woot! I did great on water and though we got pressed for time and ended up eating out last night, we did Chipotle. And I saved half for leftover lunch for the next day (today). Allowing myself a total laze about day today. Tomorrow - elliptical, here I come. Hoping to keep the downward trend, though ToM is looming and so we'll see. (It usually means a short bump up, or at least harder fight for a loss, for a few days.)

After long haul flights and plane/airport food yesterday. Back to work, the gym and logging everything that passes my lips today.
01/03 72.3 (-0.5) 1544cals
Good day yesterday, ate what I logged, went to the gym and didn't give in to cravings in the evening. I've decided not no eat back my exercise cals, so I'm logging them as just 1 cal.
Is anyone doing Yoga with Adriene's Dedicate? I meant to start today with day 1 as the video isn't available until I leave the house in the morning, but then found it was too long for the time I had available, so did an old one instead.
01/04 71.9 (-0.4)
I like this trend, hopefully it'll continue through this round back to below 70k. Yesterday went ok, I mostly stuck to my pre-logged food. I did have one piece of sweet I had brought back for my colleagues (it was a 130cals!), but changed my dinner from pasta to salad. In the evening, I decided not to go shopping or to the gym or communicate with various people, but take time for myself and start with Dedicate Day 1. It was great!
This morning, I did Day 2 and will also go to the gym tonight. I'll also do a healthy food shop. I remembered today that I had started eating bigger portions to curb the snacking, I'll get back to that from this evening. And I also looked at my macros and again noticed I need to up my protein, which I seem to always struggle with.

I have all day training today again (9-5), so my goal will be to eat well all day and get some treadmill time in after the boys go to sleep (hopefully by 8, as bedtime is 7:00). Pretty much the same goals as yesterday, but I didn't manage a workout yesterday, so I will aim to do at least 20 min on the treadmill today. But I didn't snack last night, and finished the day within my calories.11 -

Happy New Year one and all. Not posted on here for a long time so have decided to just reset and start the new year fresh (so being cheeky and posting my weights up from 1st Jan!)
Bit of weight has gone back on over the last few months (holidays, no kitchen due to building works, family things going on, then Christmas etc etc) - all excuses not reasons though) so looking this round to get back into decent planned meals and to cut out the snacking, the "grab -and-go" meals and eating out (functional kitchen back up and running again). Expect a reasonable loss this round just by getting back to normal so no target set as such other than behavioural ones.
01/01 - 158.50lb new start weight - not pretty but have at least faced the scalesMeals planned for the day
01/02 - 157.40lb (-1.1lb) one day of decent eating and drinking more water and feel better already as that bloated feeling starts to go. First day back at work today so have meals prepped and planned
01/03 - 153.90lb (-3.50lb) I love the way the weight falls off after a period of over-indulgence and then getting backing on track! I know it wont be this easy for long so will enjoy it while I can! Day out today with my girls who are still on school holidays (at the zoo so walked 13,000 steps) and was also back to the gym tonight....
01/04 - 152.6lb (-0.50lb) Losses slowing down as expected but all still good and feel SOOO much better in myself already - why do we feel the need to over indulge knowing how rubbish it makes us feel afterwards. The weekend is approaching but no reason for it to be an out of control one at all.

01/04 11st 11lb Slightly up. I did have to estimate my breakfast out yesterday but it couldn't have been much more than I put and I had a lot of exercise calories that I didn't eat which wouldn't explain the difference. But I'm not too worried

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Round 64 FIRST full 10 day round!
R64 my focus will be to not break my tracking streak since 12/28 and being active every day in some way shape or form! Get up out of the chair from work, reading or tv and MOVE! Goal is to reach 240-243 and make it stick.
01/03 - 244 - I guess yesterday’s bounce up was the fluke as I’m starting today’s round a pound lower! Rain and did not follow through with indoor bike.
01/04 - 244.4 - Yesterday reflection on the bump on the scale. Well deserved due to some choc cake and wine at bunco. Positive note. Stuck to raw veggies and lunchmeat at bunco to offset and tasted but did not eat the whole piece of cake! No exercise. Did not get up from chair during long day at work. Craved chips around 5 after work and gave in… tried carrots but then caved limiting the damage counting out the chips… slapping my own hand. 2 days back at work and again losing focus on exercise Wed & Thurs! This cannot continue!!! Prioritize yourself over work. Today’s challenge will be 1/2 day work then driving 7 hours today for a funeral tomorrow. Then turning around Saturday and driving home. Take clothes for the hotel gym.
