So, 1/4 224.4, down from 228 on January 1. That's typical for me so I'm not overly excited although I'll take it! "Typical for me" meaning as soon as I stop eating junk, especially after all the holiday junk, I drop weight easily. It's later on when it becomes more difficult.

It will usually take you to the same place in the forum where you last were. So what I do each morning is go to the forum, copy my post (because it takes me right to that spot), read through everybody else's posts and get caught up, and then paste what I copied and add that day's weight.

If you read through it before you copy, or you read through it after you paste, it will take you to where you leave off, so you'll then have to search for your post. Don't know if that makes sense when I write it out, but its easy once you figure out how to work it!

1/3 131.0 I have been having some intestinal distress for several days which may finally be passing although it sounds as if a battle rages!
1/4 131.0 Today is the 48th birthday of our first born. I remember the icy roads and the 8 mile, 45 minute drive to the base at 2AM, and the poor fellow at the gate trying to chip the ice off the sticker which gave us access to the base, his panic when Carl said I was in labor. AT 5:08AM, a beautiful 8# 1 oz, healthy baby girl appeared. She has become a beautiful woman, a wonderful mom, and a caring nurse.

68 yrs old...5'5 1/2"...used to be 5'7" but arthritis nailed me hard.

Thank you so much, @FarmerCarla. I'm so sorry to hear about your injury -- I hope you get back to running soon! It's still not 100% today, so we'll see how tomorrow goes. If anything it may be a blessing in surprise -- it's supposed to be rainy with 45 mph winds tomorrow, so maybe I'm meant to now run it. LOL

01/03 160.0 Got in 58 minutes of strength training this morning. Tried to run after work, but my knee is not fully cooperating yet. I'm very sad about that as running is my therapy and helps me keep weight off. Sigh. It just started bothering me on Monday -- I think I banged it too hard coming down to the floor during a workout. I'm hoping it gets better by Saturday as I'm supposed to run my first 5K of 2019.

01/03 185.5 Stuck in the depths of a living hell with my scale, however, I successfully stayed on course with my diet and exercise plan. I am THRILLED to report that my son joined me in the aerobic dancing and agreed to follow his special diet plan WITHOUT COMPLAINT. Because of his eating disorders (due to the Autism) I felt truly inspired. If he can do this so gracefully, so can I. And so I succeeded in all my efforts. I just wish the scale would budge. Metimucil tonight for sure (Intermittent Fasting today). I am going to skip pool tonight. It is a potluck feast and I’ve had enough of those in December to stuff a pig : ) I need this good jumpstart to get things going. I also need to return the gesture and be the inspiration that my son deserves. Good luck everyone on #64.
01/04 185.4 It’s a small change, but a change nonetheless. Last night I invited my old friend Joey over to watch Christmas movies. I really wanted to enjoy the last of the twinkling Christmas Tree and to show myself that life is good even when I cannot indulge or overeat. He constantly claims to be “on a diet” and is using the calorie counting method only. He asked me if he could bring icecream or popcorn for a snack during the movie. I told him no. Please eat before he comes as I am restarting my plan, am struggling with willpower and need to stay on track to get my body jumpstarted. He showed up with a share-sized bag of some type of chips (looked like maybe a flavored Doritos ?) and soda pop. I told him that if he wanted to go home and finish eating before he comes (like I asked) to go ahead, he could come back in awhile. Otherwise, I asked him to put his food in the car. I told him he could keep the soda if necessary or I had water and some sugar free options available. He kept the soda. I was a little ticked about the whole thing and was brutally honest with him. I’m not sure if it was sabotage, selfishness or stupididy, but I know I was very clear that I didn’t want to have any snacking while I’m still very fragile. It was only 2 hours and I knew he could have came pre-fed. I had already explained to him about how eating carbs so consistently through the holidays put me in a state of cravings, weakness for carbs etc. I spent the evening trying to be nice in spite of my feelings. While he sipped on his soda I made myself a miracle tea. My own homemade concoction of green tea, lemon, ACV, stevia, red pepper flakes, turmeric powder with a touch of black pepper for absorption, and I added a bit of parsley sprigs to it while steeping. It felt like an exotic drink and I enjoyed it. I let it calm me and help me get over my touch of anger. We watched “The Christmas Chronicles” with Kurt Russell which was better than I expected. In the end I was proud of myself for staying strong and showing up for myself. I’ve known him many years so that did help. I am not strong like this everyday, but I truly want to stay strong in my own home & environment as that is where I spend 80-90% of my time (I work from home). Sorry for the rant, but how dare he?

In some people and families, "never show up without something/food" is ingrained - probably from the beginning of time. One little request from you is not likely to break that kind of conditioning. He was likely just doing what in his mind was the right and nice thing to do.

01/03 373.4 - on WW a healthy day is a blue dot day. So far I am having a blue dot day And it is looking like I will get to my 7000 step goal today also.
01/04 371 – yesterday was not a blue dot day but I made some good choices -- not a lot of processed foods, and I made my 7000 step goal. I was up yesterday because of salt eaten the previous day, so I attribute the 2 pound loss to water I drank to rid my body of the salt. Either way I will take it Since I always seeing the scale going in the right direction!

I do wish that were true. However, we have been friends for almost 19 years. He never shows up with food for our movie nights or other planned events. He doesn't even bring a dish for potlucks! Remember, I specifically told him I was in a fragile state and asked him to eat before he came as I didn't want to be around food or snacks that late. I'm sorry but I'm still a bit angry he would ignore this. But trust me, it is not in his nature to "contribute food" to any invitation or event. In our circles he is known as the "moocher" who takes and never gives when it comes to this sort of thing.

I think he is weak now, too, in his endeavor to lose weight and "misery loves company". I was just very disappointed. It's not the first time he's done this. Last time I mentioned that I was way off track and needed to reign it in, he showed up within hours, uninvited, with a 1/2 gallon of chocolate moose tracks icecream. Ugg. I will have another talk with him when I am calmed down a bit. He has been a good friend over the years for sure, but he needs to start respecting my wishes. He can eat his chips & icecream at home!

Have everything I need but too drained to even think about cooking right now. Trying to get rid of some of these toxins, pushed myself to work up a good sweat earlier but now I'm pooped!!
