Fitness pal said that If I ate 1,200 calories a day would lose 2 pounds a week. It's been one month, and I didn't lose any weight. Why?

Can you tell us the weight you logged 4 weeks ago and the weight you logged this morning?
Can you open your diary to public viewing?1 -
Are you using a food scale for all foods and logging all liquids with calories? The issue is usually that we are eating more than we think.

I started at 128 lbs, and today I put it back on 128lbs. I had only lost one pound but it came back. I don't have a food scale.0

I literally log in my foods at the time I eat them because I work on the computer. I will make my settings public, hold on let me figure that out.0

Buy a food scale. it's very inexpensive. You can find them in most grocery store or like a wal-mart for $10-15. get one with a tare button. that's about all you need.
also note weight fluctuates daily and within a given day. ideally you want to weigh often enough to get a feel for the general trend. i use happy scale app.
why a food scale is crucial

Okay, everything is public. Thank you. I will buy a food scale.2

Also note that as you have little weight to lose, you should be looking at a rate of loss of 0.5lbs or 1lbs a week MAX.9

You have to weigh all solids and measure all liquids. Being your light you won’t need much food to sts weight unless you exercise a lot ?1

i still don't see your diary being public0

I put "everyone" in who could see all of my information.0

Thanks guys. I guess I'll be getting liposuction. I probably don't need 1,200 calories everyday for someone with hypothyroid. No point into putting in effort when nothing's going to get done. I guess what they say is correct, you can't lose weight when you have hypothyroid!15

it's way too soon to give up! why not get a $15 scale and try that for 2-3 weeks first? 1200 is the MINIMUM requirement for a female to get enough nutrients so you absolutely need AT LEAST 1200 calories daily.

ok i can see your diary. you are not logging very much at all - are you eating one meal a day, of high calorie foods like snacks, chips, pizza? Some meals you log only salad dressing? are you putting that on anything?
Is this on purpose because on meal works better for you?
You are likely eating more calories than you think you are. get a scale and measure that way and double check the entries you pick in the app (they are user generated so not always accurate).

This seems a little dramatic. What is your goal weight?

Wait, you said you're hypothyroid AND not on any medication. See a doctor to get your thyroid regulated. When properly medicated, hypothyroidism is NOT a hindrance to weight loss.15
