THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Disappointed with the last round as didn't feel the scales accurately reflected my 10 days. Going to try and change up my diet a bit this round and try and get out walking a bit more (already do 10k+ steps a few days a week so going to try and achieve this every day) along with keeping up my weekly swim one day a week and twice weekly gym PT session. Here we go!!!!

02/02 – 144 – I had a very stressful day at work, culminating with the office landlord deciding to change out the ceramic tile in the lobby right outside my office door. 4 hours of a jackhammer banging on tile. I couldn’t leave because I’ve got 9 corporate tax clients sitting on my desk. After I gave the owner a piece of my mind, he sent the workers home for the day. When I got home, I took my cue from @deepwoodslady and played some heavy metal music on my Alexa and danced while I did dishes. Although I can see the irony, that music can really relieve some stress and I burned some extra calories.

02/02 219.8 drank my water, closed my circles, > 13k steps. Off to a good start! In January, I didn’t really change my food, but I did drop alcohol for #dryjanuary and added in exercise. I wanted to try and incorporate small changes along the way that I could sustain. This month I will really start tracking food, and being aware of making better choices. 🤞🏻

02/02--214.9 Completed W3D3 yesterday of C25k. I didn't want to go out for the run because it was raining, but on my way home I saw someone out running and thought if she can do it so can I, so I got home, got the dog and went out for the run. In the end it wasn't raining that hard and the dog really enjoyed it too.

This round covers my pill break (02/01-02/08), due to PCOS I can have a lot of water weight increase. I'm willing to eat up to maintainance some days, if needed - basically giving myself extra leeway to cope with period cravings!

Paying for Thursday’s big lunch and cake a bit. I opted not to put down a goal weight for this round as I think it might be a bit of a struggle with the weather and being under an extreme cold warning. Really the goal is to try and lose a pound or 2. Have a gala event next Saturday and hoping to fit into my dress. Tried it on a couple of days ago and it fits, just not as smooth in the tummy area as I would like. Hoping everyone has a great round! And if you are like me, stay warm!8 -

2/2 128.5 Yesterday I felt irritated-don’t know why. I wanted “something” but have no idea what. I was under on carbs and 2g below protein. I have my carbs set to 15g total and without having any idea about that or my eating, someone in a Keto FB group started counseling me on how to get my weight to “start dropping” again! It was strange. I think I’ve got this Keto thing down after 18.5 months and being minus 46#. Some people! It’s raining in Las Vegas again. Not much but it’s damp outside.6 -
@OneRatGirl have you read about Keto and PCOS? Many ladies are carrying PCOS babies as a result. Just a thought.0
