02/02 176.9 A drop to start the round. All good. Three mile walk in the sunshine and a delicious portion controlled dinner made for a very nice night. Today and tomorrow will be limb collection and breakdown time. Probably won’t walk both days. The yard work will be enough. Happy Saturday all.
02/03 177.6 I was within calories yesterday but only because of a little yard work last night. I’m ok with it. I knew this would be a small loss after the last round. Woohoo roller coaster up
02/04 179.1 And we keep going up, but I had a VERY high sodium day yesterday with some Asian food. I did walk and do the day2 week2 of C25K, this time without stopping once so I'm happy with that. I also spent a couple of hours in the yard chopping up limbs. My shoulders and arms are sore from doing it. I thought I was working a lot of those muscles going to the gym but apparently not the ones that involve dragging huge limbs across the yard. Just have to stick to the plan.
02/05 178.5 Down is always the right direction. I am so happy to be in the 70's. I mean I'm not thrilled to be at a higher number than I was 3 days ago but I'm in a good place. I got in three chilly miles yesterday. I was going to go 4 but I was under dressed for the weather. I didn't realize the wind was gusting at 500 mph. I was so cold I almost did only one mile, then almost stopped at two miles, and I threw in the towel at three. I could not get warm all night after I got home. Turned on the gas fireplace and ran others out of the living room trying to get warm. Ended up taking a bath to finally feel warm. Woke up to freezing rain
02/06 179.1 Up again, but TOM is here and probably part of this little temporary hump in my roller coaster. I don't know how it can still sneak up on me, but alas it did... again... I only did 45 minutes at the gym last night, I was worried about the weather and left. It was sleeting. It stopped a little after I got home but this morning my neighborhood was a skating rink. No walking outside tonight - I'm headed to the indoor gym. I should do C25K day3 week2 today but right now I'm not feeling it. It may be one of those slow 3 miles but I got them in so don't look at me like that nights.
02/07 179.1 I think I will be down to my goal by the end of the round. I did not go to the gym last night. I went home early because it was sleeting again. It was a weird night, we had a house shaking thunderstorm but with freezing rain. I am so lucky to have job where I can work from home on days like today. I really want to get to the gym tonight. It will depend on the roads, otherwise maybe a cardio video? I don't know. Five days to lose the stupid water weight...
02/08 179.2 I was under in calories yesterday but the only exercise I did was laundry and cooking dinner. I didn't leave the house. I haven't walked since Monday and I can tell. I went to the gym Tuesday night, nothing Wednesday and Thursday. I feel terrible. Sitting around all day yesterday was not good for me. It was 9 degrees this morning when I cleaned off the car to come to work. Weather will NOT derail me. Even though it's Friday night and I got paid I have to go to the indoor gym to walk after work. No questions asked. I realize now that my body needs that, my mental state needs me to walk maybe more than my body. How can I be this old (months away from being 50) and just now realize how much better it makes me feel???
02/09 179.2 I hate doing updates on my phone. I typed this once already and lost it.
02/10 178.2 Baby whoosh, hoping to see another. Walked three miles in the cold Friday night and another 3 on the indoor track yesterday. I need another 3 at least to stay on track (haha) today. High of 37...
02/11 176.8 Whoosh!!! I had hope I'd be back down. I got my three in yesterday. It was chilly but not bad. I did my week2day3 of C25K. I felt really good about it. I'm walking today but not doing the next one, just a regular walk. I'm a little anxious about week3day1 because it's run 3 minutes. I'm sputtering after 90 seconds of running now. Oh well if it takes me a couple of tries to do w3d1 that's ok as long as I do it. I'm going to really watch my sodium today. I do NOT need a little jump up due to water. If I see any loss this round I'll be happy, if I beat my modest goal I'll be super happy.
02/12 175.8 Super happy to be below my goal. I'm only 2 pounds away from having lost 40. I get excited when I hit a another ten pounds. I'm traveling the rest of the week so - no scale. Driving 4 hours to St. Louis today, then I'll go to the gym tonight. Kind of happy to be traveling again. Gives me new places to walk. On to the next Round and lots of lost pounds!8 -

27th Round for me: Female 65, height 5’
Goal this round: To get out of the 160’s or at least consistently not above 160. Right now even ½ lb. per round would seem great. This is the same goal as last round. Was feeling discouraged until I looked at a year ago and realized that I’m only down 4 lb. but I have established a “new normal.” I’m at the upper range of that the beginning of this round. Before starting at the gym and then joining this group, I was gaining about 5 lb. a year. So all my changes have me close to the 150’s instead of into the 170’s.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. (Not sure if this is possible for me but even well down in the 150’s would be better than where I am at now.)Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, -.2Round 67 – 162.8

Popped up a lb. at the beginning of last round and ended up in the same place. Not sure why the beginning of a round there is often a jump. Anyway, I use the last day of the last round as my start weight.
Day/Weight/Comment
02/02 – 162.4 – Gym yesterday, nice to get in a good workout. It’s a year since I started at the gym and even with 2-3 times a week has made a huge difference in how I feel and, I think, look. Planning to take measurements later today.
02/03 – 163 – Have been unusually good about the cals., so was expecting to go down.
02/04 – 162.8 – A little LNS last night but managed to stop at a couple of cookies. Off to the gym today.
02/05 – 162.6 – Good workout yesterday. Will try out the treadmill, that we have been “storing” for our daughter for years, at home today. Hubby uses it regularly. I tried one at the gym when I first went but couldn’t seem to get the rhythm. I prefer walking outside but it’s icy and we have very steep streets.
02/06 – 162.8 – Well, didn’t do the treadmill yesterday – worked on my knitting project and took a nap. Amazing how your mind completely forgets the things you don’t really want to do. Off to the gym today.
02/07 – 162.6
02/08 – 162.2 – No gym today. No school today (likely a ProD day for the teachers to make the family day weekend longer) so that means the gym will likely be crazy with teens and DH needed the car. Good motivation to do that treadmill so I don’t go back up. Inspired by my sis-in-law who has lost 63 lbs. this year. She is much heavier than I but has been overweight all her life so has bigger lifestyle/mindset changes to make than I do.
02/09 – 163 – Still did not manage the treadmill. Always have trouble getting started on something new – it’s like I have to circle around it a few times, like a dog getting ready to lie down. Ate very well so I think that the blip up is too much salt and fat from last night’s supper. I used to have extreme gall bladder issues, now not bad, so too much fat makes me bloated, draggy, headachey the next day.
02/10 – 162.6
02/11 – 162.6 – Stomach feeling off the last couple of days, so debating whether I should go to the gym.
02/12 – 162 – There goes the bloat of the last few days, yay. Did not go to the gym but made it through the day OK yesterday. Draggy again today but don’t have to go anywhere except drive DH to work.6 -

02/03. 227.6 . Barely moved. Trying harder today to track more accurately!
02/04 228.4. Yikes! What happened? Tomorrow is another day!
The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. - John C. Maxwell
02/05. 227.4. I was more careful with weighing and it paid off. I saved a couple hundred calories yesterday for a dessert, but at the end of the day, decided I would rather see a scale drop and didn’t eat it! It paid off .
02/06. 225.7. It’s so important to log EVERYTHING ACCURATELY. That extra pat of butter or taste of something just adds up. I am learning that for me, it’s easier to log my meals before I have them so I can make better decisions about making a plate and feel good about eating it instead of being surprised at the total after I log it!
02/07. 224.7. Yipee!
02/08. 224.9. Pacing. . .
02/09. 223.8. Making progress . . .

Day/Weight/Comment
02/02: 228.4 @ 6:00a
02/03: 229.6 @ 12:00p
02/04: 230.6 @ 5:30a
02/05: 229.6 @ 5:54a
02/06: 229.0 @ 7:00a
02/07: 228.2 @ 7:00a
02/08: 226.4 @ 1:30p - It's been a struggle to find time to get on here this round, but I'm doing what I can! Happy with my current progress. The increase on the scale this past weekend was due to a long, schedule-skewed and event filled weekend (including the Super Bowl) that deviated from routine and lower calories. Things got back under control and my water intake increased steadily throughout the week, bringing more digestive regularity back into the mix as well. I intend to be more conservative going into the augmented schedules for this Shabbat, and am setting up for this weekend to ensure success!
02/09: 228.8 @ 6:00a
02/10: ??? - DNW
02/11: 226.4 @ 7:00a
Takeaways from this round: Structure is key - I recall that I was very deliberate with scheduling water intake between meals last go around that was very helpful. I am going to look to reinstate that and see if that improves some of the inconsistency that I've let sneak in. Still pleased with the progress so far!

02/02 141.4 night at the in laws and I tried to eat as little of what they dished out as possible (with success) but it was so high in calories and such little food, found myself starving. To make matters worse my man was hungry when we got home too and wanted Chinese food (we usually have Chinese once a year but some how managed to have it twice in the past week) I decided to order with him but only a steamed, veggie side platter. So although that is a NSV for me, as I am sure like many of you, its a weakness for me to order that food, smell it and see it without indulging, i am still sure it was salty, hence the small gain.
02/03 no weigh in. Last night was my little cousins bday party and I will be honest, I didn't attempt to stop myself or log my food. This particular cousins family serves delicious food and they bake the most amazing desserts (she is a professional baker) and I know when I go to parties she is catering, there is no way I am turning it down. It's high quality and expensive food and I would have really been missing out not eating what she doled out. I know I am not supposed to see food like that but it is only twice a year I get her delicious desserts so YOLO. We will see how that is reflected in tomorrow's weigh in, regardless of how good I have been today
02/04 143.2 between super bowl and my cousins birthday, i didn't stand a chance. I was fine for the majority of the day but as the night wore on, my temptation heightened. I gave in and ate nachos and some Reese peanut butter cups. I am going to need to start being more diligent on weekends again, they are beginning to become a struggle and lately are the reason for my up ticks. I don't think I have had a strict weekend since Christmas.
02/05 143.2 feeling bloated today. I worked out yesterday and restarted my insanity program, which usually jump starts my weight loss. Why I didn't loose, I don't know but I am assuming this weekend's salt and goodies did damage my progress more than I thought. I ate well, got in 1.6 liters of water and worked out good. I am hoping for a change tomorrow.
02/06 142.6
02/07 145
02/08 145.6
02/09 no weigh in
02/10 143.2 it has overall been a bad week, i am exercising but ever since Saturday I just haven't seemed to get my eating under control. I was good Monday and Tuesday but the rest of the week was a complete wash. I did this to myself and although I won't make my goal by the end of the round, I will still push on. I'm officially hitting the mental restart button. I mentally have been relaxing and being less concerned, which is probably why I think I can eat whatever I want without consequences. Well I realized I am wrong and although I do exercise a lot still, you can't outrun a bad diet.
02/11 141.2 a slight gain from the beginning of the round but that is ok. I have been watching my eating since Friday and have been good all weekend, not to mention I have been working out as well (which tends to be harder on the weekends) I am dedicating myself to the next 10 days and have all good days, no excuses. Here is to sticking to it!! And killing it!!2 -
