Seriously, there needs to be a LOVE button, because LIKE is just not enough for these!!!My reticent dad commented on my weight loss! The other day he met me in a parking lot to help with car issues. He said he didn’t even recognize me because he’s not used to seeing me in a smaller size.oceangirl99 wrote: »I have a few:

-I did a 14 km long run last weekend (the longest I've ran in 9 years).
-My tiny, beautiful friend suggested I borrow clothes from her for my upcoming vacation
-A friend asked me if I'm going to sport a bikini on the trip (nope!)
-My teen aged daughter told me I'm in great shapeYesterday morning, as I was doing BodyPump, I thought to myself 'wow, for some reason I'm looking great this morning'.
After the class, the instructor came up to me to tell me I was looking great.
The freakin' fitness instructor thinks I look great. Let me tell you I am feeling insufferably good about myself right now.8 -
I was later than normal getting to my GRIT class at the gym the other day and I had to stand in the front row right in front of the mirror wall, and it didn't kill me. I think I'm starting to feel a bit less self-conscious about other people seeing me work out.24

There isn't enough information in her post to calculate her weight.
She pressed 15 pounds more than she thought she could and she is now 5 pounds away from her goal.
100 pounds lifted 45 and another 5 pounds she is half way.
Or 200 pounds lifted 145 and she is 5 pounds away from her goal.See, terrible maths! I read that as the OHP was 15 pounds! It's been a long day...
Big jump in PB, well done!!
And I, not paying attn, first read that she lifted 100lbs and was thinking, dang I wish! No, I lifted 60lbs, so at 129 I need to add about 5 more to hit 50%. That blasted lift stalled forever!6 -
I've not very flexible and it's difficult to get my thighs parallel to the floor when doing barbell squats. Started working on this about 6 months ago. Flexibility is slowly improving. Today I did goblet squats - 3x10 - to a box which puts me below parallel. Touched the box on every one!16

This picture! I can’t believe that my husband took a picture of me that DOESN’T make me want to cry. I’m actually kind of proud.
Especially considering I started here....

Had another bootcamp session yesterday and jogged the full kilometre warm up again 😁 We usually have our sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but because there was a funeral on Tuesday so we made up for our missed session on Wednesday.
I was one of the first few people picked for a team for our relay. From one of the fitter guys. And there were faster people than me! I almost caught my opponent on the second round (both times she got away before me) and had a friend who was there at the end to pick her daughter up tell me she didn't realise I was that fast a d she was glad she wasn't running against me! This is a friend who doesn't pay a lot of compliments so I'm chalking that up!
Went for my morning walk again this morning. I *almost* feel like I'm ready to step up to week 4 of c25k. I jogged for 7 and a half minutes on the bootcamp warm up so I know I would be able turtle pace it, maybe Monday.
On another note- I got to ride this morning! 😁🐴🤠 I've sure missed it.10 -
I've logged everyday this week, and I've had every mug of tea with no sugar25

Well done on this, it's quite a habit to break. That first cup with no sugar - bleugh.
Wait until someone accidentally puts sugar in your tea - yuck! First time someone did this to me after I'd stopped putting sugar in my tea, I spat it out everywhere. It was the most disgusting thing ever (both the tea and my reaction!).

Tired of my work wardrobe that consists of about 7 outfits I wear over and over. Finally this morning I fit into a top that I haven't worn in a year. Gives me hope for the rest of my saved clothing!23

This is true. Same with every sweetened coffee drink. It's so funny how taste buds change!7 -
I went for a walk at the mall since the weather's still bad. It's the perfect place because it is so close but I can get some easy exercise and also do some shopping if I need to at Target.12

All day yesterday, there was a little devil sitting on my shoulder, trying to get me to do things that weren't aligned with my goals.
#1 - Go out to lunch. Get that cheeseburger and fries. You can get back on track tomorrow.
#2 - Stop at a convenience store and get a King Size Reese's Outrageous and a Vanilla Coke. You passed up the cheeseburger lunch. It'll be OK.
#3 - You don't need to go to the gym. You could make it a rest day.
#4 - Don't worry about walking during son's practice. It's freaking cold out there. Just sit in the car.
#5 - Just eat the mac n cheese hubby and son are having. It's no big deal.
#6 - Have ice cream instead of your protein shake. The calories will about equal out.
I told that little devil to *kitten* off on every single one of those!
Side note: I'm not against any of these things, per se. But I have to make weight for my powerlifting comp next weekend. After comp? I'm having that cheeseburger, fries, Reese's and ice cream! Then back on track on Tuesday!37 -

OMG... is it even possible? I soooo love my black tea with sugar and it's the one sin I can't overcome. Must be my Russian roots or ... weak self-discipline2 -
The one pair of jeans that fit me while I was losing weight (everything else was huge already) is finally loose. It used to sit like leggings, now it s more like ,laundry day'11

Oh, yes, it's most definitely possible. Takes a while to get used to it, as in a cup of tea is downed very quickly, like a couple of gulps because it tastes so strange (read: bleugh) without sugar for a few days but once you're converted, that's it. You'll never look back.
Go on, try it!8 -
Yesterday, I changed into different boots with my jeans because one pair of boots with those particular jeans was making my legs look "too skinny". For someone who used to only dream of being able to wear skinny jeans tucked into boots because of her big legs, that was a funny thing and definitely a NSV.23

I still find plain black tea not so tasty (tho if it's all all that's available I can drink it without spitting it out!) but I do enjoy black tea flavored with cinnamon and cloves and definitely don't miss the sugar there.6 -
Ok so lying in bed and moisturizing my dry calves(dry hot air heated home) I feel the back of my thighs, behind the knee tendon/ligament connection and realize that I can feel that underlying muscle body structure vs fat thigh casing. Definitively missing knee fat!!! Only I can notice this but it made me very very happy last night before bed. Barbell straight leg deadlifts are my favorite 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻15

I won a photoshoot at Walmart and went. And I like the photos. I said I was uncomfortable with my tummy but she choose great poses! This is quite a victory for me to be body positive as I slim down.18

Some time last year, I bought a used Airwalker at an estate sale. I'd been looking for a cheap treadmill, but this looked like a suitable substitute, and it was only $20.00. A couple weeks ago, I actually set the silly thing up in a place where I can use it. According to the readout on the machine, over the last 2 weeks I've worked off 4800 calories, including 800 the past three days. Now, I have no idea if those numbers are actually accurate, but at least it's something. And today, I auditioned for a play I've been wanting to do for about 30 years, and someone I hadn't seen in a few months remarked how much weight I've lost.
I have high hopes to get the part I want in this one. Stay tuned!21 -
I've given up all caffeinated drinks and have started drinking only water! My blood pressure went back to normal!21

My clothes are fitting nicer and hanging off of my body properly. I don't feel suffocated by my T-shirts anymore, as they are hanging looser. I am about to start my time of month, and I am not bloated the way I was before! Also, family is saying they can already see it in my face and stomach. I have lost 9 pounds so far! I still have about 40 to go, but I am seeing massive results in a short time by calorie counting, cardio and lifting heavy23

I ordered a warm puffer jacket in a fitted style, and I happened to take it out to try on when my whole family was standing near me. When I held the jacket up, I thought it looked small. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to return it. Then my dad looked over and said "That looks a bit small doesn't it?" I didn't say anything, just put the jacket on. It fit perfectly, even over a bulky shirt. My family said it looked great. Ha! I wonder if I look as small as the jacket to other people?21

Lots of folks mention here that it takes them a while to mentally adjust to their smaller size. "Who is that little(r) person in the mirror?" True for me, too.
Congrats on your success!

Not my NSV, my fiancé’s...
I drug him along on my weight loss journey, he was hesitant to join me at first and “cheated” a lot. But after the first couple months he finally gave in and joined me full force.
Well we were leaving a college basketball game the other night, in a big crowd. I had walked in front of him. I turned around to find him so we didn’t get separated and I couldn’t find him. It took a few seconds of scanning the people around me to come to the realization...... He was right next to me. I was looking for a heavier guy 😂. Apparently loved ones’ brains change slow too.30 -

Truth - I know what size fit me, but I still pick up the right size, hold it up, think it will be too small - but it isn't when I try it on. Stupid brain

I am wearing pants that button today!!! (First day wearing non-maternity pants!)27

I fit perfectly into a jacket I bought the first time I lost weight. I never thought I could be at a weight where I'd be able to wear it again. For some reason I had it in my head that, even with effort, I'd eventually settle in the 160's (and not fit into the jacket), which was still obese for me. Brains are weird sometimes.15
