Do they not give you lucky numbers too?
So you can pick them for the lotto?
I only believe my fortune cookies if they contain some form of my lucky numbers...'cause that's surely a sign!1 -

Maybe the fact that we've got so many sources trying to "stimulate" us makes being numb a viable option for survival1

Was talking about this recently with a friend.
We were talking about having a will to make things easier when you die for your family.
And about life insurance, even if you don't have kids, to at least pay for your funeral. I never thought about that before.1 -

it's not nice when strangers look at me with a "I don't like you" look when I'm already having a hard time
They don’t owe you anything, but it’s their future heart trouble if they want to be angsty at strangers. Disregard and smile at the next person. Might make their day, which might make yours0 -

It's a 'them' thing, not a 'you' thing.
One of the best pieces of advice I've ever gotten was from a 14 year old who told me "it's not about you". I was offended by someone...and she said that...got me thinking we have no idea what's going on for other people...maybe their dog just died, maybe they are bitter with some aspect of their life.
I've been accused of giving "looks" (in an un complimentary way) before and truly it was just me "not getting it", just a facial expression that was mistook (is that a word?)2 -
The older I get the more and more I see that Biggie was right, Mo money, Mo problems.0
