I do between 1200-1400 depending on how i feel. Add me! Looking for friends and support😁1

1200 calories per day and my diary is open. 1200 calories can be a bit tricky, so it's nice to see how others are managing.0

I do 1200/1300 most of the time and stick to it if I'm not exercising. Once I exercise I eat those calories back0

Hey everyone!
I'm looking for other people out there eating around 1200 calories a day who have an open food diary. Mine is open and my aim each day is for 1200. I usually remain around that goal, but I am always curious what other people find to eat that keeps them full/satisfied and still on the calorie count.
If your daily goal is around that amount and your diary is open to share, I would love to be friends and support buddies!
Hi I'm also doing 1200 a day and I swear by porridge breakkie and then a soup for lunch!!!
Then I have an apple and a clean dinner, this allows for something naughty in the evening! Good luck x0 -
So everyone doing 1200 .....is everyone then having success and losing ?0
-
I am. I have lost 5 lbs in a month and a half doing 1200 to 1400. I am on the last 20lbs so it is slow and steady to the finish line. Usually it is only .5 lbs a week but that's fine with me. I'm not going to lie. I have slipped a few times and had to get back on the horse but it does work.0

Hey guys, I just started back on my diet and I'd love some friends for motivation. I'm on the 1200 cals per day and the last time I used this I lost around 10kgs.... I have put this back on over the course on 3 years or so haha so need to shed it again 🤣.... also I will open my food diary (once I figure out how to 🤔)0

Yes this is me.0

Love this! Feel free to add me, but this week has been rough so no judgment! Usually I’m pretty good in the 1200-1300 range.1
-
Anyone can add me!! I do between 1200-13002

I am on a 1250 plan, eating close to or lower than this. My food diary is public like my profile. You can add me if want and check my food diaries out.1

Again just a reminder that 1200 or 1300 is supposed to be a NET goal, so if you are exercising you should be eating back some of those calories too. Hopefully all those posting that this is their goal understand that!10

Um....bad.
1200 net calories is a default minimum (for women) to help you achieve nutritional goals. My Fitness Pal gives you a calorie goal based on your weekly weight loss goal. So even if you were tall (or active, or young) you could be assigned 1200 if your weekly goal was too aggressive. Most women can eat more than 1200 net and still lose weight.
A moderate deficit helps you lose a larger % of fat. Overly large deficits make you more at risk for lean muscle loss. Your body will use muscle as fuel; this can result in a "doughy" look even when you get to goal.WinoGelato wrote: »Again just a reminder that 1200 or 1300 is supposed to be a NET goal, so if you are exercising you should be eating back some of those calories too. I second this.^3 -
Hi! After a very stressful few years I have decided to give myself a massive kick up the bum! I’ve entered all my info and it is also pointing me at 1200 cals. My problem is I’m too quick to grab a bag of crisps I’m a single mum with a 5 year old so any tips on anything would be great! I find it hard to get motivated as well.1

Hey I'm also looking for comparison on others diets. I stick to 1100-1200 a day and feel quite satiated. Sometimes I spoke a bit higher just due to eating a more calorie dense dinner with my husband from time to time.0
-
Hello! I like to keep my calorie intake at 1200. I added some of you for food ideas too! 😁 I need new ideas for meal prep as I'm getting tired of my zoodles and burrito bowls. I have a few meals saved too.0
-
I'm 1200. Social eating out w friends, wine, and finding time to exercise are my challenge.0
-
My goal is 1200, but I do eat back most my exercise calories. I’m looking for more friends.0
-
Meeee0

I’m at 1300. And getting started on my food dairy again. Feel free to add me.0
-
So I'm still at 1200, but upped my exercise to 75 mins at least four times a week. Lost 1.4 pounds in two weeks. If my loss slows, I may go 1100.1
-
I’m at the 1200 mark and open diary if you want to add me!! I’m doing lazy keto right now!0
-
I'm on 1200 kcal and like some people here I sometimes also find it difficult to stay exactly on that amount of calories so it's good to see that I'm not the only one.0

Hi all
You can friend me as well. I eat 1200 calories. I’ve lost 9lbs in 3 weeks. I’m running 4 days a week, Pilates 4 days a week and Yin yoga 2 days a week. I started out eating two few calories with intermittent fasting- which accounts for the rapid loss. I actually felt great but I knew eventually it would just reek havoc so I stopped the fasting which bumped my total calories back up.
I have always been fit and thin until 4 years ago when my thyroid tanked. It took me 4 years to decide to go to the dr. I just started meds. The biggest difference is I’ve got my energy back. I had felt like I was 90. It was awful.
My goal is to lose 2lbs a week and get back to 115 by my 30th Anniversary this summer.

That’s a very aggressive rate of loss and a low calorie deficit for someone as active as you. Losing weight rapidly as you are means you are likely rapidly losing lean body mass in addition to fat loss, you simply don’t have the fat to spare to lose 2 lbs/week. Please consider changing that to 1 lb or 0.5 lb/week.
Additionally are you eating back some of those exercise calories? 1200 is a NET goal which means its the lowest you should be aiming for after adjusting for the exercise. By not doing that again, you’ll risk not getting enough sustenance to fuel your active lifestyle, sounds like you already had a little taste of that when trying out IF. You’ve just gotten your thyroid issues on track so you might be in a bit of a honeymoon period with your energy levels. You can likely eat more, Be active, and still achieve your goals. Best of all worlds!
Congrats on the pending anniversary!7 -
I am aiming for around that much per day. Sent you a request.☺️ If anyone else wants to be friends let’s join up!1

I'm another one at 1250. I usually eat around there. Feel free to add me, my current friends seem to have disappeared. I have an open diary.0
