2/22 - 315.8 - This was nice to see. And I have been sticking to my weighing plan. I’m still a little stressed from the other night; it kinda triggered my PTSD. BUT I am calmer this afternoon. Food has still been good; it’s just been more of a struggle.
2/23 - NW - Yesterday, I was on par with eating, maybe a little light due to being out of the apartment during key eating times. Today, similar thing and I am out of olives, BUT I have a plan. I did a heartbreaking episode of Zombies, Run! yesterday and will do another one today. Since the sun has come out I am going to do it outside instead of pacing in my apartment or walking circles around the community room. As the weather turns to more warm days I will start doing Z5K training, AGAIN, but this time I should be able to finish it. I have hope for more activity in the future.
2/24 - 312.2 - I walked outside yesterday! It's more challenging outside with the ups and downs of the landscape vs the flat ground of the community room or my apartment, and I loved every moment of it. If it's not too cold I'm going to repeat it today, just a supply run not a full episode of Zombies, Run! Food is fairly on point according to the sheet the dietitian gave me. I'm settling down emotionally from the trigger earlier in the week.
2/25 - NW - The temperature dropped, so even though it was sunny I couldn't go outside to walk. I did a supply run on Zombies, Run! for 47 minutes (new record walking), and then later I did an episode of Zombies, Run!. The episode was good and tugged at my heart a little. I also finally learned about project Greenshoot, why runner 5 originally came to Able Township back in season 1. So, it was a good episode. My food supplies are running low, critically low and I have no resources; so, tomorrow my CSS is taking me to Crosslines to pick up some food. I'm not crazy about going to food pantries as it's not a lot healthy stuff, but won't matter if I end up starving either. In the meantime I'm managing to eat healthy based off of what I have on hand.
2/26 - 308.4 - I walked outside again yesterday. I threw on my light covering and went despite the wind. The sun was (and is) shining! The community room was taken by people playing Bingo, and I did not feel like pacing in my apartment when it was so beautiful outside. I stayed to the sheet my dietitian gave me, and it's made a huge difference. I feel better as I am getting my nutrients in, particularly protein.
2/27 - NW - Today was my last day at pulmonary rehabilitation, and I improved by 20% in just six weeks (12 sessions). It was a good workout, lasted about an hour, and I plan on taking advantage of my insurance program to get a membership at the Y. The weather has turned for the worse; so, no more walking outside for awhile. We are getting ice tonight. I did walk outside doing an episode of Zombies, Run!

02/23- I was at my goal weight, a year ago, started thinking what I am missing now. Start back to my weekly goals, went walking 3 X around the park.
02/24- continued walking in the rain, I went out twice, treadmill later in the afternoon.
02/25- Great day, good workout walking, treadmill, strength training.
02/26- Exercise complete--- Birthday--- to many sweets today!

2/22/19 164.8. 70 mins treadmill - still can't get back on the trails this weekend, very heavy rain last few days so it'll be a quagmire out there. Calories OK, tracked.
2/23/19 164.4 90 mins treadmill. Beautiful sunny day today, warmer but still cool for SoCal. Going out for dinner tonight, already tracked what I'm going to eat but don't know exact calories so will probably be over. Really need to see some good loss this round.
2/24/19 163.6 90 mins treadmill. Good Sunday...I normally 'break the budget' on Sunday!!
2/25/19 163.6 70 mins treadmill. Calories only just in, had a good home cooked dinner. Very long, stressful day at school, was just wishing it would be over
2/26/19 163.8 Rest day...needed more sleep.
2/27/19 164 Treadmill 60 mins. Scale not going the right way. Very tough day at work, landed up in the ER for a couple of hours, patched up and back to work. Earned my crust today for sure. Going to bed early, feeling a little low to be honest. Tomorrow is a new day!

Hey all!
So, I am not new to this challenge. I have been here several times. Each and every time I used to Join with excitement but would end up giving up in the middle as my weight loss was so frustrating. I think I have completed only one round so far and all other rounds were incomplete. I didn't know the exact cause why I didn't lose weight despite all the hardwork I have put in. Just had my blood tests few days back and found to have "hypothyroidism". Now on my thyroid supplement and hoping the scale will move down atleast from now. So I hope this is the best time to join back in this challenge.

@hoshaugh73 I wonder how long it will take me to be able to do the whole workout? I'd like to find out, so I saved it to my watch list. Hopefully, my old joints will hold out. If I don't overdo in the beginning, I think I'll be able to do it within 3 months. That may seem like a long-term goal, but I'm not a spring chicken.

2/22 145.7 last round was tough for me, even though the ending numbers are fine. I struggled through a small bounce and a few days of no scale movement. And spent a lot of time trying to keep myself on track with my eating choices, which haven't always been great. I was tempted to forget logging. The visuals of the long term weight loss trends that people post in the forums with all their peaks and valleys on the way to goal weight really help keep me going. Yesterday was a great day. I earned my promotion to blue belt in jiu-jitsu! The scale showed me a new number today. All good things!

Weight:
Short Term Goal: Lose 2 pounds this round.
First Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 185 by The end of February I hope to achieve this by losing about 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My Second Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 168 by my Birthday on May 10th by sticking to my plan to lose 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My Third Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 158 by the 4th of July using the same plan as above.
My Fourth Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 145 by Halloween.
Exercise:
During each Weight goal I plan on doing cardio in the form of dancing at aerobic levels whenever possible. I would also like to walk as much as possible although walking outside is impossible for me this time of year.

02/22 …..188.8 ….. Bad start after pool hall & potluck. Yesterdays stats: 2032 Calories In / 2419 Calories Out. Net Carbs 156. 11,586 Total Steps & 4.9 Miles. IF 16:8. I slept 4 hours & 38 minutes. I walked 34 minutes outdoors & danced 22 minutes. Sample song “ Here comes my girl” by Tom Petty. That one put me in a great mood because of the nice vibe. Good luck on this round everyone!

02/23 …..189.0 ….. Here goes my embarrassing stats: 2653 Calories In / 2248 Calories out. 198 Net Carbs (the little Debbies are so much worse than the Oreos!). 10,183 Total Steps & 4.32 Miles. No IF yesterday. I slept 4 hours & 12 minutes & suffered severe Restless Leg Syndrome all night from the sugar. I very briskly walked for 17 minutes but did not dance yesterday.
02/24 ….. 189.0 ….. I am trusting the process here. Good day yesterday. 1111 Calories in / 2369 Calories Out. 14 Net Carbs. 13,161 Total Steps & 5.57 Total Miles. IF 17:7. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I charged my fitbit overnight, but got over 5 hours of sleep. I danced for 41 minutes, Sample Song “The Wanderer” by Dion. Tons of work today. I will get my steps in no problem. 02/25 …..188.6 ….. Slowly melting pound. But every little bit counts, right? Yesterdays stats: 1350 Calories In / 2455 Calories Out. 23 Net which was mostly veggies in my Curry bowl & 1 c. of Fairlife 2% milk. 14,200 Total Steps & 6.04 Miles. IF 16:8. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 13 min which was phenomenal! I took a very brisk & fast outdoor 10 minute walk & I danced for 40 minutes. Sample song “ Another one bites the dust” by Queen in honor of their Oscar performance where they sang “We are the Champions.” I enjoyed my evening watching the Academy Awards & especially liked seeing Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper perform “Shallow”. I agree with the critics that it was very “intimate”. But the nature of the movie & how it ended – just to be together again, I get it. Anyway, have a great week everyone.

02/26 ….. 188.0….. A very nice strong day again yesterday but no exercise. I worked late & then in-home movie night with my friend & son. Popcorn & hot cocoa for them. Water with grapefruit essential oil drops for me. It’s coming off very slowly but moving in the right direction. Cancelled travel plans for Thursday due to incoming weather. Yesterdays stats: 1381 Calories In / 2559 Calories Out. Net Carbs 19 including Peanut butter. 10,304 Total Steps & 4.36 Total Miles. If 15:9. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 14 minutes. Woke up feeling refreshed but that may change later. No dancing. I missed the music but enjoyed the movie.

02/22: 227.8: 14,347 steps, started couch to 5k again (last time I hurt myself and couldn't keep up the running). Got in running/walking time, some weights, jacuzzi/pool time, went out for dinner and walk around town even though there is still ice and snow on the ground!
02/23: 227.8: 4,682 steps, I had to work the dayshift and I was unable to get to the gym before it closed. But watched my calories and made sure not to overeat while at work, which is an amazing feat in of itself.
02/24: 224.4: Steps are still counting for the day but they are going to be low. My hip has been out again and causing tremendous pain down my leg. I am going to make it tomorrow no matter what and try and walk it out. I was happy with my loss. Getting back into the grove of my diet always shows tremendous gains (or losses!). I just have to be mindful while eating at ork and not overeat.
02/25: 227.1: I knew there was going to be a gain. With no gym and barely any moving around yesterday I just couldn't see how sitting around and eating would help. I am off to do shopping and the gym before heading to work, so hopefully back on losing weight train. I think I overate at dinner and at too much salad and chicken, who knew but I didn't stop when I was full. I need to be more aware of that, especially at work.
02/26: 222.7: 10,478 steps, I actually did Wk1/D2 of the C25k program and I did it outside, it was the first time I have run outside since I was a teenager. I was quite mindful of what I was eating and to stop when I was full and I didn't eat after 8pm while sitting at work, which is a huge hurdle for me. It is difficult to be at work until midnight and not pick at something for several hours. I am feeling good about the loss, but always confused about the large decreases, but as long as I am trending down!

Feb 23 152 I did OK yesterday, better on the 21st. But today, Feb 23, I’m really struggling with food, as I did Feb 19-20. First time in 15 months. Not sure why it changed. Also very tired, struggling with exercise- today is the first day in 11 months I haven’t done dedicated exercise. It’s very odd. My toes & fingers are tingling, hot, cold, or pins & needles & have been since Feb 19. No idea why. Called dr, and they are not concerned as all my labs are great. I hope it will all go away, and I’ll get back to normal.
UPDATE: After typing this, I just couldn’t skip my daily exercise. I also thought a walk might help the symptoms. Asked my husband to walk with me 9-10 pm. Appreciative that he loves to walk & happily said yes! Habits are amazing.

Feb 24 153.4 Got back on track because of MFP UAC Group.
Feb 25 151 2nd day in a row with a calorie deficit. Walked over 13K, feeling like myself again❣️Appetite is back to normal. 2 days down, 3 to go.

Feb 26 151.6! Struggling with urges a bit, but keeping busy & not giving in.

Thurs, 21/02: 164.5: Goals: Dance class this morning, weights w/o and yoga after lunch.
Fairly happy with Round 68. Looking forward Round 69. I've been doing this Challenge since June 2017. This time last year I was 172 lbs. Today? 164.5! Vive le difference! It's been up and down, but the trend is downward!

Round 69 ~|~ End Goal: < 164
Fri 22/02: 164.5: Goals: Gym session with personal trainer + Week 5 Boditrax review. ✅Assessment showed small improvements in all areas. Down 1.8lbs. Did 50 mins treadmill/stationary bike/weights.
Sat 23/02: 164.4: Goals: 20 mins circuits/60 mins HIIT/60 mins yoga. ✅kept my circuits relatively low key as my muscles were protesting. Almost scuppered myself last night calorie wise, but fortunately, reined it in while I was still under goal. Not good as a general practice, though
Sun 24/02: 164.8: Goals: rest and leisurely walking only today. Keep as close to basic calories as possible. ✅Muscles appreciated the rest today. I did some bodyweight arm exercises, and gentle stretching + walking.
Mon 25/02: 164.9: Goals: HIIT/Tai Chi/walking. ✅
Tues 26/02: 164.6: Goals: HIIT/walking ✅ Posting very late today (bedtime! 😂). Managed my goals. Pleased that the weekend weight is on the move. I think I may post in the evenings in future. [/i]

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.

I am in for round 69! I am hoping to achieve my second major goal which is a little bit looser as 190-195 (securely in 1-derland). My reward for this goal is a full body massage! Especially as I intend to increase my activity levels.

02/22: 207.4 - Still sick, but DS is feeling better so I finally got a decent night sleep. Hoping to see a continued downward trend as I get well. 📉

02/23: 206.8 - Slowly on the mend. Guest leaves tomorrow, then I’ll officially be back in a deficit. ✈️

02/24: 206.0 - Looks like I must have overestimated some of our meals out this week because I’m still dropping despite theoretically being at maintenance. Few restaurants here are in the database & none post nutritional info. 🧮

02/25: 205.0 - Finally feeling better! Looks like I’m dropping some water weight that my body held on to while I was sick. 💧

02/26: 204.4 - Still dropping. Awesome! 🤩

02/27: 204.8 - Looks like my body found where it wants to be for now. I always follow this pattern when I have a “whoosh”: I drop for several days, then it settles just above my lowest. 💭

Round 69. 5th round for me. 51 YO female; 5'2"; Mum of 2 grown boys; wife of 1;) Live in San Diego, formerly of Zimbabwe and Zambia.

This challenge:- stay focused; keep tracking and stay accountable....ooooh, and be honest with tracking! New Fitbit Versa keeping me on track - loving it so far.
Mini goal:- 164 - into 'just fat' and out of obese. I think I've met this at last. Below 164 seems to be sticking!
Mini goal:- 160 - just a nice round number - and hopefully me not looking so round!

2/22/19 164.8. 70 mins treadmill - still can't get back on the trails this weekend, very heavy rain last few days so it'll be a quagmire out there. Calories OK, tracked.
2/23/19 164.4 90 mins treadmill. Beautiful sunny day today, warmer but still cool for SoCal. Going out for dinner tonight, already tracked what I'm going to eat but don't know exact calories so will probably be over. Really need to see some good loss this round.
2/24/19 163.6 90 mins treadmill. Good Sunday...I normally 'break the budget' on Sunday!!
2/25/19 163.6 70 mins treadmill. Calories only just in, had a good home cooked dinner. Very long, stressful day at school, was just wishing it would be over

02/22 No weigh -in today. I know, I am up.. not enough water, sodium rich food yesterday and breakfast out this morn. Time to pull it back in!
02/23 169.1x I just keep eating the junkiest food around. Back to square one! AND Not deviating from what works.

Goal... Less than I started!

02/22 80.1kg run was difficult this morning but I managed 4km. All going well. 1st target is only 100g away!
02/23 80.1kg still here still going strong. I'll get there!
02/24 80.0kg 1st mini target met 💃🏽I'm down to my pre vacation weight of July last year. Next mini target soon of losing 10% of my body weight. Today is relaxing with my sewing machine day - I'm not sewing clothes until I'm closer to goal so it's a wallet today and maybe some paper piecing.
02/25 80.1kg morning 3km done with both moon and sunrise. Felt good to be back to early runs even if it means back to work. Was very close to calorie limit this wknd so some light meals due this week.
02/26 79.9kg scale said 3 different readings today! I went with the highest for now. A new kg decade!
02/27 80.0 kg. Fastest 2km run! And did pushups etc last night but can still only do 11. Managed 44 squats though.

2/24 - 122.4 lbs; massive screw up after a week of strict diet. Need to stop cheat days until I actually hit my goal.
2/25 - 122.2 lbs; followed the plan well. Had a heavy breakfast not originally planned but worked it in with rest if the day.
2/26 - 122.2 lbs; calorie plan followed. No exercise but stood for an hour or more after dinner rather than plopping down toget some movement

02/22 - 178.4lbs - slightly up. No biggie. Am expecting the same for tomorrow and sundays weigh ins as out drinking tomorrow night for a friends 30th and MIL is doing fish and chips on Saturday. So tasty, but sooo many calories! Lol
02/23 - 180.4lbs - this is the result of having a McDonalds at lunch time (a treat from work), alcohol in the evening and indulging in the treats at the party (chocolate fountain anyone?! Lol). Oh well, I enjoyed myself, don't feel guilty and know it will come off again
02/24 - 180lbs - so begins the drops again. back to normal routine today, so should see another drop tomorrow too
02/25 - 179.4lbs - still dropping, slowly. Bit frustrated as its official weigh in day and its artificially high as (tmi) no bm yesterday. Oh well.
02/26 - 178lbs - there it is! Have a great day all.
02/27 - 177.8lbs - back to where I was at the start of the round at last. 4 days to get a loss for this round!
02/28 - 178.2lbs - only slightly over calories, but loads of sodium. Oh well.

@tiabirdie56 Your comment about eating the sweets from your nephew reminded me of my mother-in-law at my step-son's wedding--she got drunk because people kept bringing her glasses of wine, and it would be rude not to drink them! It wasn't funny at the time, but I can laugh now. Your saggy face looks much better than mine! My deflated face is much more wrinkly than yours! I've decided I can live with it, since I don't want to go back to the inflated body. Sometimes, we have to compromise. Photos have been my inspiration to lose weight, too.
@ConfidentRaven I'm glad you have a supportive spouse! They are definitely a blessing. My spouse has been very good about eating my keto recipes, without complaining, although I know he would prefer more carbs. I do add carbs to many of his portions. He actually likes a lot of the recipes. He loved the keto Crockpot Gumbo (with rice in his bowl) and a lot of the proteins, like tonight's BBQ ribs.
