02/22 – 219.2 – I am feeling great, I have been trying to get some walking in. I started walking to the elementary school to get my granddaughter (this is over 2 miles). I also made a quick walk to the bus stop for grandson turn into over a mile also.
02/23 – 219.6 – Not concerned, I got a walk in yesterday and knew yesterday for dinner would not be super. I ate something with additional sugar, which I generally do not. I was within my goals. It the weekend and today will eat pizza due to being at granddaughters birthday party at the bowling alley.
02/24 – 217.4 – I am amazed at this because I ate so much yesterday, well over all my calories, sodium, fat, etc. Everything was in the red. Although, my granddaughter said this birthday was the best party ever. A room full of my ex and ex in-laws and everyone got along. Today will be staying on track.
02/25 – 219.4 Not sure what happen here, except more carbs than usual even though within the amounts or just from the weekend party yet. Either way I am not letting this get me down tomorrow will be better.
02/26 – 216.4 - Granddaughters actual Birthday, I haven’t been walking with the high winds and too cold for me. Tonight will be ice cream cake (Oreo blizzard). I will eat small and try to allow for this in my calories. I slept in today which unusual but felt good!
02/27 – 217 – not bad considering I went over a little. I tried putting in before time and then couldn’t without knowing correct size, etc. Now back on track for the rest of the week. My granddaughter asked if I can pick her up for today, so will walk to the school.
02/28 – 216.4 – I was excited when first stepped on the scale it showed 211.6! However I waited and did again it was 216.4, then stepped on it several more times and it came up 216.4. It a lost but still disappointing because was hoping it was the first weight. I also had conversation with my granddaughter after I picked her up from school.
Granddaughter – You are losing weight.
Me – Really you think so.
Granddaughter – Yes
Me – I am but how can you tell?
Granddaughter – Because your stomach is smaller than when I first start coming here long time ago.
Me – Oh that was a long time (about 4-5 years ago), well thank you, lol.
03/01 – 215 - feeling pretty good this morning, slept in actually just got up at 7am. Hubby wants to eat out today, so a little nervous. Although he is trying to make healthier decisions also.
03/02 – 216.4 – I am not surprised it is up, just disappointing. I couldn't find the right pizza for calories and my gut feeling told me the one I added was wrong but went with it. It is all good because will lose this for tomorrows weigh-in, so I am ok.

02/22 – 142.5 – I had a highly stressful day at work yesterday and I could feel myself wanting to graze on the chocolates, donuts, and candy my coworkers have scattered around the office. Instead, I pulled out my bag of skinnypop popcorn and crunched away my frustrations a piece at a time.
02/23 – 143 – I had a turkey taco, a half a brownie, and a couple extra ounces of wine last night. Even though I have to work through the weekends through April 15th, I enjoy celebrating a Friday night. I was still within maintenance calories, so I’m fine with some water weight bumps this weekend.
02/24 – 144 - There's a bump! Hope it's not much worse tomorrow.
02/25 – 145 – This is why I’m here. I’d prefer to see the scale closer to 142, so I’m going to eat at my weight loss calories and drink plenty of water over the next few days.
02/26 – 144 – I ate well yesterday, but not enough water. I’ll try to fix that today.
02/27 – 143 – OK, I had more water yesterday and stayed around 1200 calories.
02/28 – 144 – Although I stayed around my 1200 calories, my stress levels were through the roof yesterday between work and home issues. I’ve noticed water retention before when I’ve been particularly stressed. Hopefully, I won’t have as many issues today and I’ll try to drink more water.
03/01 – 144 – I drank extra water and stayed at 1200 calories, but my rings were so tight this morning I could barely move them. I’ll be extra mindful of the food I eat this weekend, but I’m drinking my wine tonight!
03/02 – 143.5 – We’ve got healthy suppers planned for this weekend. Hopefully, we have some healthy choices for our catered lunch at the office today. My trend weight has gone up this week and I’d like to get it back down a pound.

02/22 – 192.1 – YEA! Good start. I recorded all food, drank all my water, and no alcohol (even though I really wanted a glass of wine). No exercise though.
02/23 – 190.5 – oh my. How exciting. Almost below 190. Recorded all food, drank my water, no alcohol, but also no exercise.
02/24 – 190.5 – I’m happy with this. While I recorded all my food, drank most of my water, I had 2 glasses of wine. Not exercise too, but worked around the house.
02/25 – 191.6 – Paying for the 2 glasses of wine and Panda Express yesterday. Monday and I’m back on track.
02/26 – 191.6 – Recorded all food, drank my water, no alcohol, and did a 35 minute walk. Maybe lower tomorrow.
02/27 – 191.6 again – was hoping a better number, but I did record all food, drank my water, and no alcohol. No exercise though.

2/22 - 234.8 - Yeah yesterday’s WI was not a fluke it stuck!!! raining walked .5 miles, bike 20 min, yoga hand weights planks, 8960 steps, 56+oz water, track, V. GS Cookie & wine pairing party which I survived! Tracked each of the 4 cookies I ate & a total of 2oz wine with each. I’m amazed you can eat one cookie and not the whole sleeve & still enjoy it. Nice lesson.
2/23 - 235 - walked 4+ miles, bike 20 min, 17680 steps, 80oz water, track, V. Walked to the library to pick up books! Dinner out, wine, 2 GS cookies … held it together.
2/24 - 235.5 - walked 4 miles, 13778 steps, 48oz water, track, V. Lunch out yesterday and I had a burger in a bowl … interesting concept but dressing choice was not very dietetic. Baby steps
2/25 - 235 - no exercise except sporting clays, 7818 steps, 80oz water, track, V, AF. Finished off the GS cookies but held the rest of the day together.

02/22 180.4 Um. What? I’m totally baffled. Yesterday my weight went from 177 to 179 which I figured has got to be water weight. It’s higher today. I was within calories and had lots of water and thankfully had a much better night of sleep. Aggravating.
02/23 179.8 We went out to dinner last night to celebrate my hubby getting a new job. Was only slightly over calories, but weight is down a smidge so I’ll take it! I’m still trying to figure out my calories so I can consistently lose. So far this month, I’ve managed to maintain. I know I can get this figured out, and you guys are so supportive, thank you!

02/23 137.6 lb. I am loving this new life I'm building. I have been so sore since starting to incorporate jogging but I still keep my body moving. Yesterday I did the 5K in 43 minutes and although that is pretty slow for 3.1 miles (I did a lot of walking), I can only go up from here! My friend and I are going to sign up for a timed 5K in a couple months and I'm also thinking of doing Bay to Breakers! 🌉 We'll see!
02/24 136.6 lbs. Yesterday was kind of crazy, I was out of the house all day and I knew I had dinner plans with my family so I decided to save up most of my calories for that. But what I ended up doing was compensating with lots of cafinated drinks and I didn't drink much water. At the end of the day I think I didn't eat enough and the caffiene's diuretic effects have led me to lose a lot of water weight. So I'll probably be back up tomorrow once I replenish my fluids.

02/26 135.4 lbs. Feeling terrible. I got poison oak from my hike last week and I'm sick with a cold. I haven't been eating enough or drinking enough. Been going to sleep early because the benedryl makes me so sleepy and the itching is unbearable without it. I'm not pleased with this loss because I know I'm not taking care of myself. I am going to buy some homemade chicken noodle soup today from the Nugget. I hope that helps.
02/27 136.4 lbs. I finished my 30 days of yoga journey and that has me feeling proud. I did much better with food yesterday. I ate Cuties throughout the day to get extra vitamin C. And I made sure to drink 64 oz of water. But I'm still struggling because with being sick and itchy and it being rainy and windy I'm not doing any other physical activity besides the yoga. Today is my day off so I'm gonna go get a manicure and some fresh juice at Jamba. I don't know what else to do with myself today besides that, and it has me feeling low.
02/28 139.3 lbs. I started my TOM late yesterday. Haven't been moving around much but I also haven't been over eating either so I hope this is just water weight. This is my first time getting my aunt Flo during a challenge so I'm not used to seeing how it changes things but I'm trying to be optimistic.
03/01 135.6 lbs. Bouncy scale ! I'll admit, yesterday I had a lot of TOM loose stool and I expected my weight would go down. I felt cleaned out! And since I was feeling better with my cold and my poison oak healing, I went on a nice long 90 minute walk around town and I did a challenging yoga video. 13,800 steps total. Overall it was a great day. And (NSV) I also have been having two thin mints a night and been able to not binge on them!
03/02 135.6 lbs. I would be so happy to end the round with this weight. I did another jog yesterday for 30 minutes and went 2.72 miles. My ultimate goal is to do 3.1 miles (5K) in under 30 minutes. 12,600 steps yesterday. I am expecting today will be much less active, the rain has returned and it's pouring. But I might go dancing tonight which is definitely good for getting me up and going but also making drinking a higher possibility. Maybe I should just treat myself...

Just back from the Czech Republic last night, loosely logged whilst I was there, I had shark week, a lot of beer and ate out a lot whilst I was travelling and around 4 hours of flying so expect weight to come down again next couple of days. Tweaked my calorie intake again to 1500 net on Active Rest Days & 1800 net on Active Days.

Took the decision yesterday that I'm going to drop the Pole Dancing until training season for rowing is over, it was a tough choice, but it's cutting into time I could better use for Strength Training, Yoga and Sleep. It's also messing with my food planning as I'm rushing out the door after work. Hopefully the decision will help me better achieve my goals, because the last 3 months I don't seem to have been getting anywhere. I need to get my NEAT back up and start bulking out my meals again so I feel fuller longer. I'm having a trial run at this stuff this week and will adjust as needed for March.

Lovely row this morning, just over 6.5km at a decent pace, the rain decided to ease off at least after my cycle in (typical). Feeling ok despite the drop in calories, not too ravenous. Goals for today are to stick to planned food, shouldn't be too difficult as the food is already made, take my vitamins, stay hydrated and to get my bathroom break exercises done (I do 20 bodyweight squats and wall push ups each time I go to the bathroom at work).

Slightly longer walk into work from boyfriends place, have a walk home too the last pole dancing class this evening. Will probably cycle up to/back from that. Food is planned for the day.
Didn't go exactly to plan yesterday as had to rush out the door for a training thing, boyfriend then promptly fed me some sandwiches, which took me over my calorie allowance. Doh! Shouldn't have too much impact long term as I've been in a higher deficit the rest of the week than normal (running about 3000 cal deficit so far this week).
Goals for today are to hit calorie & nutrition targets and to switch off from work this evening.

Small deficit achieved yesterday, was starving after pole dancing so had a bit of a snack attack, did myself a bit of an injury yesterday so may well skip strength training today and just do a bit of walking in the rain. Goals for today, eat under maintenance and relax.

02/22: 244.4 - I went shopping and bought some things I shouldn't. 😒
02/23: 245.8 - went out to see a comedian. Lots of baked goods consumed.
02/24: 248 - weight is back almost where it was when I started. I need to get it together. Note to self: stay out of the bakery aisle at the store. I will eat it ALL.
02/25: 247.8 - Met my dad to go walking. It was a shock to see how much he struggled. He's a closet smoker since heart surgery 15 years ago and we had to stop and rest about every quarter mile. It was a glaring reminder of how important it is to take care of your body. On a positive note, I logged over 13,000 steps for the day.
02/26: 246.6 - uneventful day. Cleaned and worked on my classes. I realize that not logging my food is having an impact on my weight loss so I need to get back on track.
02/27: 247.4 - Logged all my food today. 🏅Got together with a friend to hangout.
02/28: 245.8 - tracking my food seems to have made a positive impact on the scale. Will keep doing it. One day at a time!
03/01: 244 - tracked my food again yesterday and its keeping me honest. "Hey there good buddy, keep on tracking." (anyone remember to 70s?)
03/02: 243.2 - happy to see this going in the right direction again. I'm hoping I hit my goal for this round but a two pound drop overnight is a lot. At this point I'm happy to be down 5 lbs from my beginning weight. I look at this like I look at my golf game: as long as I'm moving forward, I'm doing ok.

I mostly behaved myself yesterday, other than some cookies at UU. But we had high winds and once home I didn't want to go back out to the Y, so not much exercise beyond a little cleaning/organizing. Off to the Y in a few for exercise and a fitness evaluation. Should be interesting. I'm baking bread this afternoon for a potluck this evening with my Sisters in Good Company group - love them, and the food at potluck so is always yummy and mostly healthful. Hoping to get some writing in while the bread bakes - I just started the first book in a new mystery series (I'm 4 books into another series but the publisher went out of business :-( ), and I'm all wound up as I get it going. It's easy to get lost in it and sit on my butt too long - we all know this about computers or knitting or cross stitch or reading or...., right? - so I set an interval timer to get me up every 25 min to move around for 5. Helps a lot! I also have a standing computer stand, but find it hard to use for real concentration. I'm working on that. Anyway, I'm looking forward to a good, busy, low-calorie, healthful day and wish the same for all of you!

Looks like I won't be getting back to the 30s this round, but it's March - Spring IMHO! - and I'm sprouting a new leaf. Sugar is first to go - I've eaten more added sugar in the past 4 months than in the previous 4 years. No idea what got into me, but it's getting out. Not only has it packed on a few pounds, but I hurt more the past few weeks, and sugar promotes inflammation, so.... The fitness test went great, though - aside from coming up too fat on those measures, I got high ratings on muscle strength and endurance and on BP and cardio recovery, so all is not yet lost! I can't believe we're almost to the end of this round, though. I continue to be inspired by those of you who are sticking to your plans and those of you who slip and get back up. So thanks for all that!

Ugh. But okay, I've done this all by myself, and I can undo it again. I was a little over my calorie goal yesterday but not with gobs of sugar, so some of this is catch-up from previous days. I have today planned and within bounds and I'm off to the Y now for weights & walking/biking. All good. Have a lovely weekend!

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

I’ve found ice cream bars & popsicles to be excellent for this. I struggle with identifying a proper “serving” scooping from a tub of ice cream, but a chocolate-dipped ice cream bar is delightful in its simplicity!

02/22 - 156.3, went to a basketball game yesterday night and had a couple of beers so preparing myself for a uptick tomorrow. Was worth it though since had a great time and we won!!

02/23 - 156.1, busy day today with a volunteer shift from 9-1, brunch (not a great menu for a diet but they have a la carte eggs and fruit salad), gym/shower after, and then a club dinner at 5 so won’t be back home until after 8pm.
12,282 steps, 60 minutes of exercise, 64 oz of water
02/24 - 156.4, had brunch out today (2 egg white scrambled, piece of rye toast, and breakfast potatoes) so hoping I stay under 156.5 tomorrow. Diet will be back to normal tomorrow since weekends I tend to eat out more. Really going to try for 155 on 3/01, but started February 160.4 so 5.4 lbs is a bit ambitious for only 28 days so won’t kick myself too much if don’t get there.
Phone ran out of battery at 2pm with 6850 steps but walked a lot after. Charging Fitbit today since I have to get used to wearing it even if I don’t think it’s attractive— no time for egos., 60 minutes of exercise, 64 oz of water
02/25 - 156.3, back to where I was at the start of the round and pretty happy with that since ate out 3 out of the past 4 days and even if you think you’re ordering correctly it’s hard to know how much oil or salt was used.

2/22-166-I leave my dad today, after taking care of him and his new knee. After the weekend, will go to where my husband and I are going to live. I look forward to living with my husband and getting to walk up and down the long paved driveway there, where we will be living (waiting for the house to be built).
2/23-166-Yesterday before I left my dad’s house, I rode 20 last miles on his bike. My legs were sore the rest of the day and that felt good. Today we will go help set up and work at a fundraiser that will have heavy food, lots of drinks and it will be a late night.
2/24-169-Heavy food and a late night. I need to drink lots of water and no alcohol. Hopefully I can get a walk in later. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everybody!!!
2/25-169-That’s OK after long hours and n the car and quick heavy dinner. We made it to our new temporary housing while our house is being built. It is great because there is a long paved driveway and I can walk the dogs every day.😊
2/26 -164-yipee! Signs of the weekend are finally gone. I walked 4 miles fast yesterday, and logged my food & drank water.
2/27-167-Walked 5 miles; the dogs love it! Heavy lunch & too many chips and dip before dinner. Once the weather gets better, I can walk 30 min. after dinner and that really helps. I need to get sewing today; I’m falling behind!😳
2/28-167-Nothing like Mexican food....that big bowl of chips, a burrito and a beer. I should get back down to that 164 I saw and I don’t have many days to do it. I’ve been walking 5 miles a day and it’s going to start paying off.

02/22 …..188.8 ….. Bad start after pool hall & potluck. Yesterdays stats: 2032 Calories In / 2419 Calories Out. Net Carbs 156. 11,586 Total Steps & 4.9 Miles. IF 16:8. I slept 4 hours & 38 minutes. I walked 34 minutes outdoors & danced 22 minutes. Sample song “ Here comes my girl” by Tom Petty. That one put me in a great mood because of the nice vibe. Good luck on this round everyone!
02/23 …..189.0 ….. Here goes my embarrassing stats: 2653 Calories In / 2248 Calories out. 198 Net Carbs (the little Debbies are so much worse than the Oreos!). 10,183 Total Steps & 4.32 Miles. No IF yesterday. I slept 4 hours & 12 minutes & suffered severe Restless Leg Syndrome all night from the sugar. I very briskly walked for 17 minutes but did not dance yesterday.

Yesterdays stats: 1350 Calories In / 2455 Calories Out. 23 Net which was mostly veggies in my Curry bowl & 1 c. of Fairlife 2% milk. 14,200 Total Steps & 6.04 Miles. IF 16:8. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 13 min which was phenomenal! I took a very brisk & fast outdoor 10 minute walk & I danced for 40 minutes. Sample song “ Another one bites the dust” by Queen in honor of their Oscar performance where they sang “We are the Champions.” I enjoyed my evening watching the Academy Awards & especially liked seeing Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper perform “Shallow”. I agree with the critics that it was very “intimate”. But the nature of the movie & how it ended – just to be together again, I get it. Anyway, have a great week everyone.

He had a small nachos & some Hershey’s special dark chocolate for a snack. I had Vanilla chai Tea with a hint of Stevia. I was proud of myself today!
02/28 …..188.8 ….. That is what pizza & German Chocolate cake does. I went to a friends & that was the menu. Bloated all night. Feeling bad from the sugar. I have no idea of the exact calories or Net Carbs. My best guess is about 2200 Calories & 200 Net Carbs based on MFP logging which I did my best to figure out. Calories Out 2363. 9,241 Steps & 3.91 Miles. IF 14:10 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours and 41 minutes but feels like none. Very tired today & taking a road trip out of town unexpected so this is going to be a yucky slow moving day. Probably restaurants involved. No chance at redemption for several days. Only one day at home left this round. This will not end well I’m sure. Not even much opportunity to get any exercise in. Ugg. No dancing yesterday since I was away from home. Feeling a little depressed right now. It takes so little to derail days & days of hard work. I know we’ve all been there but it really stinks. I hope you all will have a good day.

I also ended up getting some ice cream because my son ate half my dinner because he didn't realize I hadn't gotten a chance to serve myself food. 2/24* Cruise Day 7 I feel I’m not eating right at all but my small jeans (the only ones I brought) still fit.
2/25* Back in Long Beach until about 6. For about an hour we were the only 2 passengers onboard.
2/26* Catalina - lots of steps
2/27* Ensenada - met my step goal before 1, walking in the shops and back to the ship.
2/28* Sea day. Food tasting in the kitchen at 5:15 so I didn’t eat dinner!
3/1 * Home in the afternoon, lun-ner with the friends who are picking us up at the airport.
