It's what my friends are calling it
It's the winter world master games an event sanctioned by the international Olympic committee. There's an opening and closing ceremonies and we take the Olympic oath. The only qualification is you register quickly and pay the fee. Haha3 -

Hi, 56, and this is my 2nd time on MFP. I lost 40lbs (SW 152, lowest weight 112lbs) over 2012-2013. The last 10lbs came off very slowly. Eventually I realized that my final weight was too low for me (5’6”) as people kept commenting that I was too thin/ was I sick?? (thanks everyone! Sheesh!!). I also realized I was getting too obsessed with logging etc. and just tried to take a total break and eat mindfully. Gained about “10” and was happy around 125lbs eventually but life, work, retirement happened and I now found myself back ten pounds heavier again (137). I’m back to 128 and my goal is in my sight again. I weight train for 45 min 2x a week and try to get to yoga 2-3x a week. I’m shooting for 1200 cal a day which is not long term sustainable, but I’m weighing my food, eating only nutrient dense foods, fewer carbs and the occasional treat. It’s coming off quickly.
A couple things I learned: I was drinking a lot of calories! 2 glasses of wine each night was like eating a candy bar every day. Love my wine but I’m drinking much less now (altho I miss my vino!). When I’m hungry, I chug a water or a decaf tea and ask myself to wait 30 min or so to see if it resolves my urge to snack. Sadly, I also learned that at maintenance, I also needed much less calories then when I was heavier.. no one points out that you need to regularly adjust your intake downward as you get smaller, which is your “new reality”.. maintenance can’t be back to the old way of eating!5 -
Hi!! I'm looking to add MFP friends who actively track & publicly share their Food Diary. I need some motivation & food
ideas.
I'm a 39-year-old married mom, with a 5-year-old daughter, living in the Midwest. I'm 5'8", currently at about 185- & my ultimate goal would be to get close to 150. I've had success with WW, but I just cancelled bc of the price. I miss the motivation that I got from my weekly group!5 -
Anybody from the UK remember the 90's rave scene. Love the chase and status video really sums up the era

There are groups here that you can join that are great for motivation. I joined this one and it was just the kick in the *kitten* that I needed to get the weight loss started again.
