@snoo61 & @snowflake Thanks for the great suggestions! Had forgotten about the Habitat restores.
Almost filled up the back of my daughter's truck with leaving items. Came across a couple of bags AND a box full of more market bags. Taking those into work for another area that's regularly passing out groceries to parents.2 -

One of my grandkids broke the cover on the hall light & it seemed an odd size, but found one there that worked great. It was a "chandelier", got it for $18, took the cover off & sold the rest at the garage sale. Some of the stores even have furniture.
My favorite furniture has come from thrift stores and craigslist.

I think she's taking a break from computers. She said she was going to enjoy her new energy, and put it to good use.3 -
Yeah, this post has been pretty quiet lately!1

It really has. I'm hoping to post more often...as in get my butt back in gear. Time to get the holiday closet cleaned out!4 -
I went through a kitchen box from the back room. I threw almost all of it out. Salvaged a few things that I will use or give away. Hopefully, I'll get another one done tomorrow. Found a church that seems to still be collecting for the hurricane victims! I have a lot of kitchen items in boxes in the back. Someone needs them.4

Great job!! Isn't it amazing how when your usable things are going to somewhere or someone specific who can USE them, it's easier to let go?
My dh is determined to reduce what is in our garage. Last week he pulled out all our Halloween and Christmas decoration bins and says let's go through them this upcoming weekend. Granted the last few years I haven't really had the energy to put out/take down, and we haven't put up outdoor lights (so those are going). It's all great condition. Trying to decide what should keep??4 -
I downsized my Christmas decorations 2 years ago when we moved, I went from 9 totes to 6. I still miss some of my decorations, but my daughters got first dibs and then their friends chose some before I sold a bunch.
I need to get at my china cabinet, I want a smaller one and I will need to empty some out before I can do that.
I have a lot to do still, but am sort of waiting for nicer weather.

Cory...what a tremendously wonderful person you are to inquire about me...you so ROCK!
My Snoo...girlllll, THANK YOU for being you and letting peeps interested knowing what I've been up to...you're the absolute BEST, period.
Whewwwwwwwwwwwwwww WEEEEEEEEE! I haven't looked back at the post to see when the last time I posted, but if feels like it's been at least a couple of month or more and what a WHIRLWIND couple of months it's been. Man, talk about being humbled and "being brought down a size"--YIKES AND PRAISE GOD at the same time, that's what's been happening in/thru/to me/my life and I'm so VERY GLAD. Let me share somethings with ya, one is NEVER too old to learn and NEVER too old learn to change (one's mind, body and soul) and the only time it's too late for change is when you're dead, period. This time of "fasting" from the media has brought all kinds of joys, trials, tribulations, and lots of YAYS and lots of YUCKS.
As I type, I'm sitting in my pristine clean/super pretty bedroom, but it's only become pristine clean in the past couple of weeks. I had some MAJOR battle royales with decluttering, due to dastardly self-pity and self-deception and hindering my daily desire and doing maintaining my spaces, especially my bedroom and used I MEAN BUSINESS, LET IT GO (FOR REAL) NO LOOKING BACK AGAIN getting FREE from seriously toxic, and emotionally, mentally, spiritually destructive relationship(s) (formerly closed/decluttered...or so I deceived myself into believing) I closed the door to these super unhealthy relationships, and it rocked my poor little world/heart/mind something fierce to deceive myself into believing a leopard could/would change their spots. I NOW KNOW, TRUE FORGIVENESS DOES NOT HAVE TO MEAN OR HAVE TO INCLUDE FELLOWSHIP/RELATIONSHIP, PERIOD. Dearhearts, it's essential to know that one can fully forgive someone without having to associate with them any longer--FOR YOUR SAKE AND THEIRS...PLEASE KNOW THIS. I foolishly re-opened a toxic and vile door to a couple of relationships The Lord used me to close and lock. Me being "nicer than God", allowed myself to unlocked and re-opened that door and bless God forever what a mess ensued. YUCK!
By The MERCY of God alone, He had these people close TIGHT the door(s) themselves, unwittingly (in a super miraculous way) and I took advantage of that GODPORTUNITY and relocked/BOLTED those (literally) bad doors/gateways tight and threw away the key . So for sometime I during this stress/trauma, I stopped my decluttering and as we ALL know all too well, how quickly stuff piles up and looks and feel horrible (inside and out). THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR MERCY in helping me during this time do a lot of "heavy lifting"....lifting a/the big ole HUGE beam outta my wicked eye so that I can see clearly to help someone get a splinter out of theirs and/or SEE to it that my "trying to control/change/help some people is NOT MY PLACE, AT ALL. As the old saying goes, I may not be able to stop birds from flying over my head, but I can/will stop them from building a NEST in my hair/head:
Dear God, Let me tell you, (as I tell myself) it's EASY to get tricked and nothing is worse than feeling sorry for the and his cunning/lying/selfish/crazy-making children and for y/ourselves for that matter. I learned and am learning that there is a True and Living God...and I aint Him, I can not will not continue to try to "fix" everyone another day in my life (God Willing), I got my own life/mess to fix (working out my own soul's salvation with fear and trembling, period. I've been humbled something wonderful and the life lessons I've learned in the past couple of months is nothing less than a God-send--THANK YOU LORD for these woes, that snapped my tail right back into His Way, His Truth and His Life--not my will--but His, period. No matter how difficult/traumatic/YUCK it's been. Of course, I haven't "arrived" but after all these years of walking with Jesus...I can truthfully say, I'M GETTING MORE Free from yuck more and more each day. Yuck from my mind, body and soul.. from a lot of yuck I wouldn't have otherwise recognized and done without these woeful and super hard trials and tribulations...so it's ALL GOOD, as "they" say.
Now on to some more delightful VICTORIES that's been happening in my life. Thru all this {{eye-rolling}}mess, by the Grace of God, I've managed to shift between my lowest weight ( I think it was 149lbs to going back and forth from 149lbs-153lbs). Today I'm up about 1 or 2 pounds since I last posted, BUT....the inches have flown off my body in these weeks of my absence.
2 whole inches off my waist
1.5 inches off my chest
.5 inches off my right arm
.5 inches off my left arm
1 inch off my stomach
That's 5.5 big ole ugly inches permanently gone outta/offa my body! WOW and YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best of all to conclude this novel....drum-roll PLEASE-->
I squeezed my tail into a SIZE 6!!!! I haven't been a size 6 in almost 30 years (of course, 30 years ago when I was a size 6, my waist was a size 24 and size 6's equalled a 24 waistline way back then...not 32 as it is today, but WHATEVAH I'll take the vanity/21st century sizing anyday and YAY!!!!
{{Love&Hugs&VICTORY w/PATIENCE to us ALL in this decluttering AND weight blastification }}
P.S. I just looked back at the thread and saw my last post was February 4th...7 -
@NewLIFEstyle4ME its great to hear from you! You continue to inspire me by conquering the trials of everyday life. Well done!0

I keep planning to go through my decorations, but get distracted by the million other boxes I have. I'm trying to get through a box a day, successfully most of the time. We are planning to move in a couple years, and I don't plan to take anything we don't use.2 -
Well, the box dh brought in, for me to go through today, is apparently his stuff. He's going to go through some of it tonight, and bring another one in for me to go through tomorrow. Progress being made!4

I inadvertently started spring cleaning yesterday. I had one cupboard that needed organized so I did that and then when I turned around and saw the crystal vases on top of my china cabinet I though they needed cleaned. I climbed up to take them down to clean and then looked at the inside. I ended up cleaning all the dishes in my china cabinet and pulling it out to wash the wall in behind it. I washed one mark off the wall and have ended up washing all the walls in the kitchen and dining room. Rearranged some pictures on the wall and have one reusable shopping bag of stuff to take to the thrift store.
Now I need to do the bedroom and craft room.

Good for you! The inadvertent cleaning is the best! I always love to get something unexpected done.1 -
Dh went through the box yesterday, he got rid of a lot more than I expected.
I have boxes of castle parts in the back room, and he brought 2 of them in. I've been dreading looking at these, expecting everything to be ruined. I was excited to find everything in pristine condition!
Needless to say, I didn't get rid of anything, but now I can stitch all the walls, floors, etc. together for the grandkids!3 -
My hubby & I are working on a plan to build our dream house which will be much smaller than the mobile home that we have lived in for 18 years. So at the end of the summer 2018 I started going through closets and cupboards selling, giving away, and tossing out everything that we did not need. We sold our mobile home at the end of September so I really had to kick it into high gear with the "downsizing"! We lived in a motor home from December 9, 2018 to March 1st, we have some items in storage but believe me, we rid ourselves of much more than we stored. Now we are living in our newly built 600 sq ft apartment (an addition to our shop) without a mortgage; we are saving the additional funds we need for the down payment on our house which will be a small 2 bedroom....ridding ourselves of all the unneeded odds & ends that we held onto for years was and is such a relief, if I couldn't imagine a spot for it in the new house, I got rid of it and it felt good!11

Today I went though my kids clothes and packed away a lot of small clothes that they can't fit into anymore. They will be given away and out of my house. Some toys are going to be leaving too. They have too much stuff that they don't play with.6
