Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Overall a nice easy week. I was feeling very fatigued one day so I intentionally ate more (healthy food). I did feel more energetic the next day and the scale moved up a couple of pounds the next morning but dropped since. Maintenance is new to me. I have never actually done it well but this time I think I can. Have a great week everyone. Your stories continue to inspire me.10 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: So my weight is back to normal this week, however I'm just ovulating so I binged on some sweets the past 2 days and I was 100-250 calories over my maintenance, but my weight was still lower this morning than my avarage weight for last week so I'm not freaking out...7 -

Success/Struggles: Had a wonderful week, with all the sun and spring weather! I got to go on a long hike in the hills while everything's still green, and did a 63 mile ride yesterday in my fastest time since I don't know when - suffering through intervals on my trainer during the rain is really paying off Two weeks to my first cycling event - 85 miles (or 65, depending on rain).
Wishing everyone a successful upcoming week!9 -

Success(es)/challengesof the week:
Successes: I did enter my food diary every day (I’m on a different program than MFP). I went to yoga class on Tursday and exercised during my two snow days at home. (Colorado blizzard).
Challenges: Chose to engage in a lot of emotional eating. Just need to figure out how to break the cycle. It’s just making me feel depressed and lethargic.5 -

Successes/struggles: forgot to weigh yesterday so late posting but all in all a good week. Made it to 10k running for first time ever and did it battling some strong winds in less than an hour. Had a great boot camp class on Saturday and also made a hot yoga class this week. With home workouts that meant I worked out 6 days this week but I’ve been really careful to eat enough. And I’m pleased my weight is stable so hopefully doing it right! Struggles were tiredness plus temptation at all the treats at my daughter’s birthday party this weekend but making sure I’d eaten enough around it meant the struggle wasn’t actually too bad.
Have a good week all x7 -

Struggles: This past week has been challenging. Two VERY BAD food days, for the first time in months. I had a cold and cough, which led to poor sleep, which led to getting very tired and mega eating of comfort food. I am also struggling with eating enough food. Was actually down to 130 before the eating spree. While 130 is at the low end of my maintenance range, I actually think that it is too low.
Success: Back on track now. I love the fact that a day or two of bad eating did not turn into months of bad eating! I am pre-planning food to try to get calories up (without resorting to junk food to do it). This is a bit of a challenge as my exercise levels remain fairly high, meaning that I need to eat 2300 to 2400 calories a day to maintain. My goal this week is to figure this out!9 -
HEAVIEST weight: 175.4 in early 2013.

Success of the week: My scale weight never got over my ultimate goal weight this week. My trending weight continued to come down a little bit, and it's now exactly my ultimate goal weight.
Struggle of the week: My scale weight has been below my maintenance range part of the week, and it's the first time I realized I have to be careful not to loose TOO MUCH. I NEVER would have thought that would be something I worried about.
Struggle turned to success: I went to a museum in another city on Saturday. I took a couple friends. We stopped for some really good pizza in another town on the way home. It was good. I ate an 8" pie, and it was delicious. Next day I was up 2.5 pounds. It wasn't unexpected. The success was that it didn't phase me at all. I think this was the first time a significant increase in one day didn't even make me blink. I had been having several loss days in a row, and I was below my maintenance range. That increase put me smack on my ultimate goal weight. Now I'm a little confused because that 2.5 plus a little more came back off by this morning. I am going to blame it on dehydration, pay attention as I move forward, keep from gaining again, and be mindful not to really lose any more.
The museum was the Evergreen Aeronautics and Space Museum. The Spruce Goose is on display there. What an odd thing.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight is up again this week. But I am not worrying about it. I have been under my stated maintenance range of 118 - 122 for almost 6 months so I have been trying to bump my weight up a little. Now I just want to keep it where it is and not have it continue to go up. My son and his girlfriend were here for the weekend and we had bigger meals than usual so I would have expected my weight to be up this weekend so I will have to see if it stays here this week or if it goes up or down. I said I was not going to keep lowering my maintenance range, but I really do like the 115 - 120 range so I think I am going to change it to that. That puts me pretty comfortably in the middle of the range instead of just under.10 -

Success / Struggles: I'm not overly concerned that I am slightly above range, but I do think it is bothering me a bit. I know it really shouldn't, though. I'm just trying to eat sensibly right now and trying to avoid snacking between meals and in the evenings. Very difficult when my husband breaks out a bag of chips or makes a bagel at 8pm!11 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Things have been a little weird. I have been eating mostly meatless for religious reasons, so I've been more "careful" with what I'm eating because I want to still hit my protein goals, or at least my minimum goal. Anyway, my weight seems to be trending downward, and faster than I would think I need more data though.
Anyway, I'm posting my weight today (Thursday) instead of the usual Friday because I plan to go out tonight and splurge. I expect significant bloat, lots of sodium and probably alcohol too.11 -

How long in maintenance: I reached my goal weight about a year ago, but kind of bounced around for a while.. it's taken til now since the beginning of the year to be getting consistent weigh-in's in the range I want to be in. Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: More travel this week which messed with my workout schedule. In particular American Airlines cancelled my flight home Tuesday night as the aircraft was leaking. I also had to go to my son’s university Thursday night so no workout then either.
Did well staying on track though from a calorie standpoint, though many meals were eaten at restaurants and you never know for sure what they put in it or the serving sizes. I was happy with the scale this morning.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Updating on two weeks' worth, as I was on vacation for several days over last weekend. So far, my experiment with eating at a slight deficit some weeks, and a surplus on other weeks, is working well. I was able to eat/drink anything and everything I wanted while on vacation without feeling like I was restricting myself too much the rest of the week. This included things like lots of desserts at both lunch and dinner, and one night with a chocolate buffet, where I managed to eat ~10 different chocolate truffles and bonbons after having had a 3-course dinner! My highest calorie intake ended up being about 2670 calories. I earned a few exercise calories with lots of walking one day as well, and ended up with ~700 or so calories extra at the end of the trip that I didn't end up eating (those will be banked for another week). I prefer to over-budget calories for a day as opposed to the alternative. Although my weight this week was at the top of my maintenance range, it wasn't even as high as I was expecting, considering that I was eating at a surplus and eating out all the time for several days, plus time of month water weight gain added into that.10 -

Warmer weather is around the corner though and I’m itching to go explore my new “backyard” (Fairmount Park) and to start gardening/landscaping. Thinking those activities will both keep me active and bump up my TDEE a bit. Until then, one more week until my first half marathon of 2019. Yippee!

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: It was great to see my eldest son home for spring break, but he also brought home an upper respiratory bug to share with the rest of the family. Not the worst thing, but it has made curling up on the couch and being sedentary much more appealing. It's also messed with my sleep; between the congestion interfering with my APAP and night shifts, quality and quantity have both suffered. Even so, I've kept my head down, gotten in my steps and exercise every day, and kept eating on an even keel. Plus, spring is finally arriving and it's a beautiful sunny day - time to go outside!

Success(es)/challengesof the week:
I tried a new strategy to avoid bedtime stress eating. I brushed my teeth and washed my face after dinner. I did this six out of seven days this week, which is better than last week. I went to my yoga classes and I’m still meditating every day for 12 minutes. I’ve switched to walking for my non yoga days. The pedals in my stationary bike aren’t working properly (too loose). But it is nice to have milder temps and longer days.
Challenges: That’s a rough wake up call to see my weight increasing this month. And it came as a surprise today because I weighed in at 129 midweek. So I’m hoping to higher weight this morning is at least partly due to eating salty foods and drinking wine at a party last night. But I do know that another part is that I haven’t been as consistent with my healthy eating habits. I’m really going to tighten things up this week so I can end this month well.8 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight went back up this week. I couldn't weigh myself this morning + yesterday but I know it went even higher cause I overate by a few hundred calories. On weekdays I tried to stay in a deficit to bank up my calories but my weight still went up a bit from last week. It might be ovulation though or just waterweight because of too much carbs but it was still annoying that for some days I ate 300 calories less than my maintenance and my weight was still up 0.1-2 kg the next day, it can be just frustrating. Maintenance is much harder than I thought it would be...9 -

Successes/struggles: Crazy work week for me this week (teacher/parent consultation evenings) so I had to plan carefully to make sure I didn’t get too hungry and succumb to the cakes and biscuits provided by the bosses to “keep us going”. Also required some determination and commitment to keep up the exercise despite the extra work hours. But I did it! Have done two 10k+ runs this week (and smashed longest run, fastest mile and fastest 5k times) four circuit workouts and a 6 mile walk so I’m very proud of myself. Feel like I’m in a good place at the moment and hope I can keep it up.
Wish you all a good week to come x11 -

Success/struggles: my kids were home for spring break this past week ( together, i don't think they ever had a spring break at the same time!). They were both sick, but we didn't get their bugs, that's awesome! We had a super rainy week, so couldn't ride much. Actually, today was my first good ride in two weeks, so 32 miles for me today. Cycling makes me happy, clears my head and helps sort things out. My trend is down, didn't gain any weight with kids being home, yeah! Good week. Hope everyone has a great week too!9 -

Success of the week: I've been maintaining very well for a month -- at least until this week. Weekly average is right at my goal, even though scale weight is going up for five days.
Struggle of the week: My ex came to town mid-week for a supper visit, and I ate way too much. Good tacos and all; just ate too many chips and salsa. Then extended my emotional eating through the weekend. Scale was up higher than it's been since mid-February and nearly outside of my maintenance range. Had a meeting on Sunday where some really good but salty pizza was served. I had plenty.9 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight is right where it needs to be in the middle of my range so that is a success. My struggle is that it is still a little hard to see the scale go up, but I am trying to not worry about it. I had dropped down to 113 and even my trend had dropped below 115 so the last couple of weeks I have been trying to get back up to around 116 or 117. I know my scale weight was up some from eating out on Saturday. My weight has been down during the week and up some over the weekend the last couple of weeks so I know that it is just fluctuations. But even though I know I am not fat anymore I still see that fat person when I look at myself. I do sometimes see the thin me in pictures or in the mirror, but when I look down at myself I still see the same person I have been for many years. I have been told before that I primp a lot and I know that I do look at myself in the mirror a lot. But I think that is because that is really the only time I ever think I do look thin. Most of the time I still feel fat. I think we just have an idea in our minds about what we look like and it is hard to think that we have changed. Kind of the same way we often feel like we look the same as we always have and then see and old picture and realize that we actually do look a lot older now. I am glad to have this group. I know that many of you understand how I feel. I think that most people who have never lost weight and tried to maintain that loss just think that you should be happy that you reached your goal (and I am) and don't really understand how hard dealing with the fear of gaining it back can be.12 -

Success/Struggles: I didn't get a chance to post over the weekend - I had one daughter and the grandkids over until yesterday afternoon, and the other came over Sat to make it a family day. My younger daughter is still breast feeding and came down with mastitis which she fortunately caught early, so she spent as much time as she could resting and I took care of the boys. Exhausting! I went way off track with my eating, and I'm so happy to get back to my normal schedule today and ditch the anxiety
Wishing everyone a successful upcoming week!10 -
