Had to buy a belt yesterday because even on the tightest hole my old belt was loose!14

I had to retire my biggest pair of jeans. They are so big they gathered up around my waist under my belt and it's uncomfortable and they look really bad. So out with the 47 and in with the 38.
Yesterday was week 5 day 3 of C25K and I actually ran for the full 20 minutes nonstop. Not fast but I was running. I haven't ran that long since maybe in the late 70s.28 -
Went to the eye doctor and told him about my family history of type 2 diabetes. He said, “Well, at least you’re skinny. That helps a lot.” I told him that was the main reason I had lost 30 pounds, to prevent diabetes!
I just can’t believe a doctor said I was skinny in such a matter-of-fact way.
Congrats! That is definitely the best feeling!
When I had arm surgery, there was a concern about whether I would be able to get the full range of motion back, but when I asked the physical therapist he said, "Well, the odds are much better for a thin person like you" It was a complete shock because in my head, "thin" is definitely not an adjective I use to describe myself. That was a while ago but it really stuck with me.16 -
Never thought I'd get back into 34" pants and a Medium shirt. I did today, down from 40" pants and Large/Extra Large shirts!17

I tried on some jeans in a different style than I normally wear (super skinny cut with a front slit at the ankle and very drastic front seams). I grabbed a 12 but looking at them thought I might need to go with a 14 and mentally prepared myself for that, since I don't currently own anything but 10, 11, and 12 and haven't for several years (maintenance range).
BUT...10 (my usual size) worked out great in the end, I shouldn't have bothered with taking the 12s into the fitting room after all, even if they looked small to me.15 -
I tried on some Juniors jeans on whim. Pretty sure I was a 7. Nope, too big. They only had 5 in shorts, which fit fine but a 3 might also work, I was surprised.9

My side butt is almost gone. I had a total hip replacement in 2016. The scar kind of looked like a butt on my right hip (the actual scar was recessed with the fat around it raised). It's almost flat now. My DH pointed it out last night. I almost squealed.20

I danced and walked today. Haven't exercised for ages.20

Great job, everyone! Likes all around!!
I've been running again lately and have had two NSVs this past week in the running world: I ran one full mile nonstop! Hadn't been able to for a while. And a few days later I ran two miles and only slowed to a walk for about a tenth of a mile! I honestly didn't think I would get back to this point so quickly after restarting. It's incredible how your body can quickly recover, with the right work and attitude!
But more importantly....my butt is soooooo hard!!! I swear it was Jello a few weeks ago...all the jello is gone and it doesn't jiggle when I run or touch it! I can like, no longer grab handfuls of it and wiggle it! Squats are paying off

Bought shorts at Target yesterday. Carried an 8 and 10 into dressing room, had to go back out and get 6. Could get into a 4 with serious muffin top but figured I’d treat myself and downsize later this summer.
Had to get shorter shorts than I’m used to. My calves are so muscular, I couldn’t even get in the knee length shorts. Will have to get comfortable with being exposed. How strange to think of it that way. Since technically there’ll be less of me to expose, right?
When I bought shorts this time last year, well tried to anyway, the 20W wouldn’t fit. I was so upset I went all summer with no shorts. That was a brutal decision for the Deep South, lol.26 -
I have 2:
1. I can wear a size medium t-shirt now. 6 months ago, I couldn't even get a medium past my shoulders.
2. I have severe hip arthritis. Usually, walking for more than 5 minutes aggravates it. Usually when I go to Wal-Mart, I have to be the one to push the shopping cart, so that I have something to lean on. Today, I let my husband push the cart, and I walked around Wal-Mart a good 30+ minutes without pain. THIS MEANT THE WORLD TO ME!40 -

I went to buy some work pants and was trying on a 18W but grabbed a 16W just for the fun of it. They fit perfectly. (I started at a 22W).19

I'm usually prone to colds and flues so I try to stay out of the rain for prolonged periods. Reset my alarm for quarter past 5 (figured in 45 minutes the rain would have passed since it was only a small amount coming over us). Got up at 5:15 and my partner informed me it was spitting outside. Considered going back to bed and trying again tonight, then I realised I have bootcamp (weather permitting) and firies training so unless I wanted to be out until 10pm, I either had to brave the rain or skip it all together. I chose to brave the rain. It was that very light misty stuff so didn't affect me too much. As of this morning I am now up to 30 minutes of jogging every morning. I was alternating the final run of c25k with week 8 (days 1 and 2 were 28 minutes of jogging) but tomorrow is the final day of my repeat of week 8, which is a 30 minute jog as well. Pretty excited that I'm turning into the kind of person who jogs for half an hour every morning, for me, this is a big deal 😁
Yep, you’re a runner now!
You may end up being pleasantly surprised about your immune system too - I used to get sick several times a year, and since becoming a runner I’ve only gotten one cold in two years. I honestly think getting out there in all kinds of weather is better for me than staying inside and hiding from weather used to be. As my grandma used to say, “You’re not made of sugar, you won’t melt!”
Thank you! It feels pretty good to be a runner 😁
I was actually just saying to my other half the other day how I hadn't been sick yet this year and there's been a flu going around already. I have been taking immune boosters as well to help, but I'm certain the change in diet and being even more active than what I already was is definitely helping a lot!
NSV- yesterday I pulled all the clothes that have been too small for me for years out of the spare room cupboard and tried them on. Some of the pants have been washed to go in my current cupboard and I've got a heap that I will try on again in a few weeks because I can get them done up at the moment, but they're just a little bit tight for me to be comfortable wearing them. Massive one being that I fit into my non stretch Wranglers from quiet a few years ago. I wouldn't be able to ride in them at the moment as they're still a bit tight to be comfortable in the riding position, and being able to reach the stirrup would be a bit difficult with how tight they are, but I am confident I will be riding in them by the end of this month 😁16 -
I started out as a 26/28W. Now 20W is sagging on me.29

I recently updated my wardrobe because I had gotten rid of all my too big clothes. I just bought enough to get me through Spring and I bought the absolute smallest sizes I could fit.
I’ve gotten so many compliments but the best is my friends are calling dibs on tops and dresses they like because they know it will all be too big in a few months.28 -
Bought a new jacket this weekend since I left mine at home when we left on vacation. I found all the larges were too big but a medium fit like a glove!16

I noticed my muffin top is almost gone
I slept over at a relatives and I had some clothes there, but no jeans. Except an old uncomfortable pair that I had planned to donate, they were tight in the waist and low rise. Tried them on and they fit! (still going to donate them because I don't like the cut)
Someone at work noticed that I've lost weight! Finally someone noticed!25 -
someone at church said to me, Hey I am jealous of you. Wow, never been told that before.17

Here’s an NSV for ya. Found this belt I was wearing about 9 months ago. Time to donate it!

Realized I have holes in my first set of lifting gloves, time to buy new ones!20

I did my aerobics exercise outside while the children played today (our trailer shelters me from the neighbours)15

I'm ordering a pair of pants today that were the same size I was wearing when I packed up all my stuff to go to college a decade ago.23

Just came back from my first physical since losing 35 pounds.
Fasting glucose down from 103 to 77
HDL up from 34 to 50
LDL down from 120 to 100
PSA down from .82 to .60
A1C finally below 5
Losing weight is no joke.35 -
Yesterday I was cleaning and found a forgotten storage bag of too-small clothes under my bed. I tried them on. Most of them fit!!25

I'm currently wearing a suit coat that did not fit 50 days ago. Good timing as I have a big meeting today and this makes me look way more professional than my usual sweater23

At my local grocery store they were giving away Royals t-shirts if you spent more than $100. The couple in front of me got 2 shirts (a lot of groceries). When I checked out the clerk said - I'm going to hook you up with a shirt, all I have is mediums but that should be fine for you. My first thought was - does he think I'm a medium? My second thought was is he saying that fully knowing I'm not a medium but he's trying to be nice? Or trying to be "friendly"? I decided to go with he thinks I'm a medium!! I took the shirt and it does fit, though not well. My hope is by the time it's warm enough to wear short sleeves it will fit.26
