4/13: 194.2 (I got my period 3 days early again! 🙁 at least I maintained my weight from yesterday! Last night I had some chipotle and it was so yummy after a long week! I also did a 45 minute elliptical workout as soon as I got home after work. Have a nice weekend!
4/14: 195.0 (I guess I didn’t gain too much this TOM, so that’s amazing! I did a 15 minute elliptical workout and a 15 minute total body workout! I also went to dinner last night at a Cuban place and had lots of papa rellenas and chicken croquettes. It was so yummy and worth all the working out all week!)

04/13 137.5 Walked 4 miles fast yesterday morning, followed by an hour strength class, then 5 mile walk with friends. Ate a bit of bread and a cupcake, but well within surplus exercise calories. Happy to see that eating a little bit of carbs is no longer totally throwing me. At the beginning of doing low carb, one cookie would bounce my weight up 2 pounds the next day!
04/14 137 I accepted a challenge by a friend to walk 20,000 steps yesterday. So I did 20 minutes of elliptical (it was raining), an hour of zumba, and then a 3.5 mile walk (as it had stopped raining). Made my 20,000 steps after a walk around the block at 8 pm.

I have a car! This is so exciting. It will negatively impact on my steps, but it also means I save 30mins each way to work, so I can start my morning runs again. And overall a new way of living 😊🚗
Yesterday wasn't too bad foodwise, a few road trip snacks (easter eggs) and ice cream after dinner. I estimated very generously, so cals might well have been lower.
Today, went for brunch, but very civilised, then Ikea before I dropped off my SIL at the airport. I didn't eat much, but had a few more Easter eggs - to finish them before the new week.

I began Round 34 @ 179.4, ~April 8, 2018, having lost 48.9 lbs since 1/1/16.
Now, unbelievably, it’s Round 74, my 41st Round.

Still figuring out my Maintenance Range.
Thought it would be 169, but I shrunk, so 166 (normal BMI). Hit May 2018. Realized I needed to lose more.
Then set 155. Hit Thanksgiving Day 2018. Realized I needed to lose more.
I like 153 Much more than 155.

04/13 - 140.7 I believe this is the TOM drop I was waiting for in the last challenge, better late than never. I also cut white carbs yesterday that I had been eating through the previous week. -1.1lbs
04/14 - 140.7 I guess it has to slow down at some point. My diet was on point and I met my exercise goal yesterday as well. I also drank a ton of water yesterday (12cups). Not sure why the stall. Will see what tomorrow brings.

Fri 05/04: 166.0: Goals: ✅ Final Boditrax assessment this afternoon. Good progress made. Reduced metabolic age to 62, increased muscle mass, reduced fat mass, so I am very happy. All my stats were improved.
Sa 06/04: 166.3: Goals: ✅ granddaughter is home for a long weekend so we took advantage of the gorgeous spring weather to have a family day out. Lots of walking. Restaurant lunch, but made healthy choices, and drank lots of water to combat sodium.
Su 07/04: 166.4: Goals: ✅ Felt out of sorts today, despite sensible choices at the restaurant yesterday.
Mo 08/04: 165.8: Goals: ✅ Great day today. Unexpected after the weekend, but a nice little whoosh this morning. It will probably bounce back up tomorrow.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

04/13--208.9 Hardly drank any water yesterday. Went to the 2nd dance lesson yesterday and we did the swing dance. Hubby was definitely more relaxed this week and actually said that he enjoyed himself...he liked the swing more than rumba from last week. I am starting to drop the hint that maybe we could take some swing lessons after this 4 week session is over...we'll see how that goes. Going for a run this morning and then running some errands the rest of the day.
04/14--209.2 I was so thirsty when I woke up this morning...I knew I didn't drink enough water yesterday. Ran for 3.5 miles yesterday and went to the gym this morning. I slept for 9 hours last night and could have slept for more if it wasn't for the dog plodding around this morning. Going to rewatch the last episode of GoT, hubby and I rewatched every episode over the past 3 months, and then get ready to watch the new episode tonight.

To aid in my maintenance goal this week while enjoying my vacation (admittedly, a food-centered one in a special place I haven't been to for over a decade where I'll be headed to some of my all-time favorite restaurants, AND there will be a birthday party), I am experimenting with calorie 'banking'- purposely eating fewer calories for a few days in order to have more in the 'bank' for other days. Over the course of the week, it should even out to 1700 max a day, my maintenance calories.

04/13 153.6 Same weight for days, and that's fine, since my goal this round is simple: maintain, don't gain! Walked a lot yesterday (for me), 4616 steps, and met my calories perfectly.
04/14 152 Maddeningly, the scale kept fluctuating between 151.7 and 152, but I'm thrilled it's lower! I've been IFing for a while (16:8) and yesterday, I was starving in the morning, which is atypical. After having the usual coffee and water, the hunger wasn't subsiding one bit, so I opened my eating window early and didn't feel guilty at all, nor did I go overboard- trying out this intuitive eating thing in baby steps over the course of this long journey.

04/14 185 I wanted hot cross buns - when I couldn't find them I bought a loaf of raisin bread - then I ate the loaf of raisin bread - not all at one but over the afternoon and evening I ate the whole thing! A binge with breaks is still a binge?

04/13 153.5, had sushi (lent) and a lot of soy sauce, no idea how much salt was in that until I saw this number since is higher than I was all last week. I love weighing every day since I’m not freaked out by this number and know it will be gone soon
04/14 152.6, happy to see a lot of the salt is gone. Hopefully will resist temptation at dinner time tonight to end the weekend lighter than I started

04/12 - 194.6 This is happening more & more frequently, so I think it’s my “new normal”. Hit a new low, go up about a pound for several days, drop to the old low & beyond over the course of 2-3 days. Rinse, lather, repeat. 🤷🏻♀️

04/14 - 194.2 Tomorrow is the last day of one of the long-term challenges I’m in. I’d love to see a new low, or at least the one I caught a glimpse of last week! 🤞🏼
