How can I get skinny?

That's way too often. I know it's difficult but you need to stop obsessed with the scale that you have to weigh yourself repeatedly throughout the day. I used to do that too when my ED was bad but now I only weigh once a day. It was hard at first but it is so worth it not to be tied to the scale all the time.13

Up to 7 times a day
Oh dear.
Once per day is all that’s necessary.
Preferably at the same time in your daily routine. Consistency is key.
More than once per day is superfluous and such data will not help you in any way.

So I know how much I can eat and drink in a day so I don’t gain weight.20 -

And how exactly do you think that weighing yourself seven times a day will tell you that?
You eat some food and drink some water and then weigh yourself and you're slightly heavier. What does that tell you? It tells you that food and water have weight, and you already knew that.
You go to the toilet and then weigh yourself and you're slightly lighter. What does that tell you? It tells you that your digestive system contents have weight, and you already knew that.
At your current weight, gain or loss of actual permanent fat/muscle happens at the rate of about half a pound a week. That would be around one ounce a day, IF it were linear, which it's not. Your scales don't have the precision or accuracy to see how much fat you have gained or lost in the last two hours, and even if they did that would be utterly drowned out by the constant temporary fluctuations in weight that are caused by eating, drinking, sweating etc.
Weighing yourself seven times a day is utterly pointless, and it's also worryingly obsessive. People with healthy attitudes to weight loss weigh themselves once a day at most.19 -
If you really feel the need to be obsessive about weight loss, you could always obsessively educate yourself by reading the stickied threads instead18

But are you also going to stop constantly weighing yourself, accept that if the scale goes up and down over the course of a couple of days it means absolutely nothing, and start thinking in terms of weight gained or lost on average over the course of a couple of weeks?11

That's what tracking your calories will do.
I really don't think you're currently in the right mindset to lose weight.22 -

please make sure to tell your treatment team everything you have mentionned here including that you weigh yourself 7x a day (and the reasons) and all the questions you asked here. Hopefully you are still seeing them regularly.14

But that’s not telling you that. All it’s telling you is the mass of the food and water you consumed.10 -
My weight fluctuates all the time, even when I excersized religiously all week and ate well sometimes I can gain weight. I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago and now I understand my hormones are all over the place I can lose weight by adapting what my body needs, mainly less carbs but more fat. I would like to lose about 18lb but the last bit is so hard!5

I just love how this is going to sound!
But, I do have some trouble with the goal set of wanting to be "skinny".
I love seeing goals such as "not being overweight", "being healthy", "being strong", "having a hard bod", "abs".
But being :"skinny"? I don't like seeing that as an aspiration and often feel that I should argue the validity of this goal.25 -

Funny what body shape different terminology can conjure up.
Slim and/or slender sound better than skinny but mean the same.
I just read it as averagely muscled, with no particular fitness goal other than being healthy and within a normal BMI range.
I’m called skinny at times, I’ve never thought to take offence or read it as being under muscled, un fit, or unhealthy, which I’m not.
Not arguing with you just giving a different perspective from someone who gets called skinny.
I suppose it can be down to who is wanting to be skinny, and the perceived use of the descriptor on either side.
cheers, h.

I enjoy weighing myself it isn’t affecting me in a bad way and it helps me so I’ll probably keep doing it. I will start thinking of weight gained or lost over a couple of weeks12 -

Everyones advice is helping I just can’t do strength training because I haven’t got any weights. Please stop telling everyone to stop commenting on my posts. I’m not hurting anyone15 -

Your continued posting history would suggest otherwise. Weighing several times a day isn't going to tell you a single thing about how much you can or can't eat to lose weight, and you'd need more than two weeks of data to decide whether what you're doing is working or not anyway. You've been told numerous times how to deal with the extra weight. Please take the advice.20 -

Strength training can be done without any weights. Look into You Are Your Own Gym or Convict Conditioning or other body weight programs.12 -

Based on your post history it is affecting you though, and it isn't helping you because weighing multiple times per day cannot help (anyone) to determine how much you can or cannot eat on a day to day basis.
Have you read all of the "most helpful" "stickied" threads at the top of these forums and the thread on weight fluctuations?10 -

Have you talked to your therapist(s) about any of this recently? Say within the past two weeks? Also note the "yourself" part of "danger to yourself or others". Also given your diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, has anyone recommended DBT to you?4 -

I didn’t mean to hurt you. It’s not like I’m dropping a stack of weight and starving myself because I’m not. I just don’t understand why everyone is so worried. I really can’t see how I’ve got an eating disorder. I’m just obsessing over weight loss because I want to be healthy and if I stop obsessing I might fail at losing weight and I might go back to old ways. I’m not trying to hurt anyone honestly. Everyone has there ways of losing weight and I have mine and people say keep doing what your doing because it’s working. I really am starting to worry about everyone that is concerned about me on here. I’ve noticed I have 18 posts on help to lose weight and I’ve gone overboard with the same questions over and over again and I really didn’t mean to get obsessed with weight loss all I want is to be passionate about weight loss and get healthy mentally and physically. I know bpd can be annoying to people and I apologize to you and everyone. Because everyone probably thinks I’m annoying and everyone probably don’t want me on here. I am going to talk to my therapist about this because it sounds like everyone wants me to so I will. I am working on being healthy14
