If you suddenly came into a lot of money, what would you change?

Gonna want a timer on those sprinklers if you're going to start traveling right away. Trust me...0 -

After paying my bills...I'd hire someone to do the grocery shopping and meal planning. I'd also have a good garden with fruit trees, vegetables and herbs. I would make a donation to the Spartans and Carolina Crown Drum Corps as well as Thornton Academy athletic department. Then, I would just enjoy life.
If I had unlimited funds, I would buy a castle in Scotland.0 -

There's an idea. I could pay someone to find me some family.0 -

I vote we start meeting like this more0 -
If it was more than 10 mil after taxes, I'd pay off my mom's house, move out of state and buy a house with 5+ acres in North Carolina, buy a condo in NYC and in Denver. I'd buy new cars for my husband, sister and mom, pay off debts and set up numerous trusts for close family and friends. Quit my job and travel the world for 2 years. Once back, I'd start a non-profit organization that helps at risk youth. I'd also go back to university for a second degree in something interesting like anthropology.0

I would go to graduate school and also invest in retirement/properties to rent out/index funds.0

I'd only wear those old flannel long johns with the button up *kitten* flap. Also, Id pay for everything in unrolled nickels.2

Oohh i like fantasising about this. If it were mega millions, i'd buy me a nice (not massive - just nice - house on the beach in the area I currently live in (in my tiny old rental flat!), I'd buy a couple/few investment properties around the area too. I'd upgrade my Jeep.
Then I'd pay off my parent's debts and help them finish building whatever else they wanted on their property, plus get them new car/truck.
Pay off my bro's debt and set aside some $ for his kids for when they are +21 (maybe buy each a flat in the city and they can then either keep it as investment or live in it or whatever. They live in the country.)
Start some sort of save all the kitties facility. Might even make it all the animals in general, like an RSPCA. BUt definitely all the kitties. Like retirement village for old kitties and rehoming facility for non-old kitties and fixing up broken kitties and all the other crazy cat lady things.
Oh, and probably work part-time. Or work at the crazy cat lady place. But not full time in my current job. Which I don't mind, but no kitties.0 -
I’d sign up for mfp premium5
-
I would have a huge party for all the MFP people and buy enough cream puffs so all the guests can eat as many as they want.6
-
I would quit my job, buy my own house, buy a new vehicle for myself and my husband, and give back to our families. Nothing fancy, honestly.0
-
I would hire a personal trainer and a personal dietitian.

Then of course, there is always, quite my job, buy a house in Hawaii, buy a new motorcycle, I like my car, so I'll keep that awhile, maybe buy a big 4 wheel drive truck though.....0
-
I'd start a 2 LIVE CREW cover band3
-
I would buy my parents a house, buy myself and my hubby a house. His parents, too. I would get a fantastic lawyer so we could get my stepdaughter away form her neglectful birthmother and have full custody. And I'd certainly get a second motorcycle, and have my own gym inside my home.0
