Nice job! How tall are you? Pretty tall? Just asking as I wouldn't have guessed 350 in that before pic!1 -

I think you look like your posture is fine! I would have thought you were maybe in the 250-275 range in your before is why I commented because to me you didn't look that heavy to me. Makes sense that you're a pretty tall guy.1 -

Well thank you. Lots of core strengthening exercises has definitely helped, and when I'm conscious of my posture it's not too bad. But when I'm not, apparently I default back to this terrible position where my gut sticks out, my upper back sticks back to compensate, and my neck and head hang forward. I guess it's what my spine had to do in order to support so much visceral fat. The neck and head thing is probably because of depression/anxiety. I spent most of my time looking at the floor. The floor couldn't really judge me negatively, I suppose19 -
That's what I do now. Look at the floor when im out in public13

Not quite 300 but closer than i would have liked. 283 to 140. Maintaining three years. The pretty four legged lady is the reason i lost weight. Making sure she was well exercised kept us both walking.

Fantastic job! Gorgeous in both photos though. Confidence has to come from within so I understand not feeling good about yourself and anxiety. (Struggle for me, too.) Just now at almost 57 I live to enjoy life and try to be kind to myself while on the journey.1

Question for people on here who have lost this much weight: how have you avoided loose skin/how do you deal with it? I’m starting at about 290 and this is my biggest worry about weight loss. (Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask about this!)0

Everyone's different and there are a ton of threads (including some in the past 2 days) about this topic.
A short-as-I-can answer from me - after losing about 130 lb, I am very happy with certain areas and not as happy with others. You can't really control that of course, but there are things that some people suggest will help. I have also heard the younger you are and the less time that you've "carried" the weight, the better. But for someone who was over 250 lb from age 20-35, I'm really happy with the level of loose skin I have which is honestly not that much. My upper abdomen and upper arms are not great, but I didn't expect them to be. Sometimes I see weight loss stories in magazines where the person weighed like 500 lb and now at 150 has a perfect flat little belly...without surgery I think that's very rare. JMHO! However, my lower abdomen, thighs, and chest all look way better than I ever expected when it comes to loose skin/flab.5
