I consider the loose skin like a badge of honor... or a certificate of achievement. I have lots - but it's because 1) I topped 350 at my highest - and I was well over 300 for decades - and 2) I am 54 years old. Had I pulled my head out a few decades sooner, well - I might not have the skin issues.
From all the folks that I have talked to and heard from and read about... the people with the most "skin success" are those that never got over 300 lbs - and/or the younger folks - and/or people who were not overweight for a very long time, like I was. So - you already meet the first requirement. That 300 pound mark seems to be the line of demarcation between folks with skin issues and folks without. From your profile pic, I would say you meet the 2nd requirement, as well, but it's hard to tell from that.
I just figure my career as a swimsuit model is never going to take off - but, I can wear normal people sized clothes and look good in them - and I have a lot less fear of dropping over from a heart attack at any moment; not to mention the continuing ability to walk. Being heavy, year after year, is very, VERY hard on your body - every part of it. So, lose the weight now - worry about the skin, later. If it doesn't shrink up after a couple of years, you can always go for a little nip and tuck. They even have financing for that, now.18 -

You go girl ! Nice arm tone and very nice dress !6 -
Not quite 300 but closer than i would have liked. 283 to 140. Maintaining three years. The pretty four legged lady is the reason i lost weight. Making sure she was well exercised kept us both walking.
You look great as does your 4LF - mine keep me doing 10k steps a minimum every day too !8 -

Good for you for starting. I started two months ago and have lost 13 pounds.6 -
love this thread! started at 334 in april, got down to 331-333, fluctated there til I decided to get serious. Asked my doc what I could do, he wants me on phentermine, which i can't afford and am not interested in taking. Started 2 weeks ago, after being sick and getting to 327 from not eating while sick. Only lost 1lb in that time frame, decided to start doing IF the 3 days ago and have already dropped 2 lbs. I cant wait to be able to post my before and afters!
great job to everyone here!4 -

I urge you and everyone else to think twice about taking phentermine. My doctor informed me that there were studies indicating it causes AFIB in some people.2 -
