Round 7! My goals will be to walk at least 10,000 steps a day, drink at least 60 oz of water a day, and exercise when I have it scheduled on my calendar. I'm also going to start each round by updating my measurements. I've been wanting to do that for some time, but never seem to get around to it.
This is a busy time of year for me! We have our spring concert on the 23rd, the Memorial Day Parade on the 27th, a trip to Six Flags with the seniors on the 29th, and graduation on June 1st. I'll be happy with meeting my goals for this round. I will continue to weigh everyday, but it won't be my main focus.

05/23 178.8 lb 19,482 steps, 50 oz of water, and I finally updated my measurements. I kept to two slices of pizza, mostly because the high schoolers ate the rest. Our spring concert is tonight! I might exercise this afternoon, but only if I get everything set-up for tonight by the end of the school day. I'll definitely be keeping my tradition of going out for beers afterwards. I think I'll be taking a half day tomorrow so I can get a jump start on cleaning my house and continuing to clean my yard for this weekend.
05/24 178.0 lb 27,251 steps, 54 oz of water, and several beers. The concert was great! The students always come together and create something magical. I did not get to exercise yesterday, but after conducting the concert, my Fitbit congratulated me on my "31 minute run". I'm planning on going to the gym and walking two miles with the dog this afternoon.

05/28 DNW I've spent the last few days catching up with family and friends, which including drinking and eating more than usual, so I'm going to give myself a break on weighing in daily and get back in the habit on Saturday. I'll be walking the dog when I get home, I've refilled my water bottle once this morning, and I'm planning on doing an exercise DVD when I get home. Thank you all for the engagement congratulations. I'm so excited!

05/23 – 242.9 lbs. – (Happy with this since TOM is here this morning and I took a rest day yesterday). Packed my lunch and I plan to complete C25k Week 5 Day 2. Then 50 Jumping Jacks, 20 Push Ups, 45 Squats, 45 Crunches.
05/24 – 244.0 lbs. – (That doesn’t surprise me, even though I wish it wasn’t so.) I haven’t been logging my meals like I should. I’ll correct that and curve the sugar like I know I should. I plan to do a walk in the late afternoon. Then, 50 High Knees, 40 sec Plank, 40 Lunges, 25 PushUps. I’m turning it around.
05/25 – DNW – lots of pain in my legs; decided not to run. The walk from yesterday ended up being an 8 minute run.
05/26 – 244.0 lbs. – rest day
05/27 – 244.6 lbs. – rest day legs are hurting
05/28 – 243.3 lbs. – (Not sure how. I didn’t work out since the 24th.) The plan today is C25K Week 5 Day 3 after it cools down. It’s supposed to reach 100 degrees in GA. Then, 50 Jumping Jacks, 25 Push Ups, 40 Squats, 40 Crunches.
05/29 242.5 lbs. – (new low after the holiday!! Whoop woo!). Yesterday C25K program session was a 20 minute jog straight through. Now, it wasn’t fast, but it was straight through. Found a great podcast on Spotify to listen to. Feeling so ACCOMPLISHED!! I remember when I struggled with jogging for 3 minutes. Man, that was a few weeks ago. Working on a craft project with my niece and nephew this afternoon. I don’t have a workout planned. If I get home at a good hour I’ll take an 8 or 10 minute jog. I did pack my breakfast and lunch for today though.

I cannot walk like I used to. My husband and I walked five miles a day...five days a week...and I can't do that now. I do still work out w/my trainer three times a week but the exercises are not strength exercises like before. She is being very careful with me. It seems everything I'm eating is staying with me. I am scheduled for back surgery June 18th. Doc said the surgery should take care of 80-90% of the pain. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

5/28 - 175 – Added a FitBit to the mix. Hoping for more motivation. At least it did not go up.
5/29 – 175 - Hmm was hoping for a little movement on the scale. Noticed my water intake is lacking so will add more today and see if that assists me a bit. I know it is a process, keep breathing right?!

5/23 No Scale - I will update the numbers for the last round and beginning round tomorrow when I get on the scale after being in New Orleans for 4 days. I have hope, I haven't gone crazy and I have exercised every day. I've been drinking a ton of water to help with sodium. I went to a beach in Mississippi yesterday and walked four miles. I never get to walk on the beach. Had cheap fresh grilled tuna tacos for dinner. Delicious!!!! I love that my job allows me to travel to places I wouldn't have otherwise, though it makes staying on task difficult.
5/24 172.4 I'm not thrilled, but not mad either. I am down for the round, though up two pounds from when I left. I KNOW I didn't eat enough to gain two pounds. Hopefully, I'll see a drop tomorrow or the next day. My sick friend is out of intensive care and off the ventilator. It was touch and go for two weeks, but he's definitely on the mend. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. It's Friday before a 3 day weekend - WOOHOO!!!!!!!!
5/25 172.0 Still going the right direction. Got three miles in yesterday, trying to get another three in today between showers. Missouri is flooded everywhere. Trails are hard to find that aren’t underwater at least in spots. Some of my flowers look beautiful, some are so beat up I’m not sure they’ll recover.
5/26 172.2 Small uptick isn’t ideal but I got a little too into some Boom-Chicka popcorn last night. That’s ok. I measured every ridiculous bite.
5/27 170.9 Woohoo! This was my goal weight for the round. Good day, yesterday. Nephew and girlfriend came over and I played with the baby (now toddler 18 months). Brought out the pool she was too small for last year. She loved it but never sat down. She crouched the entire time. Love her. I should be able to get a walk in this morning. Maybe I could see 160’s if not this round, then the next one for sure.
5/28 172.0 TOM I think is the cause of this. I was under on calories, didn't go crazy on sodium, drank at least 64 oz of water and sweated like a pig for two hours doing yard work last night after shopping all day. I had 11,221 steps.... I didn't gain a pound overnight.
5/29 172.0 I can only assume this is Mother Nature reminding me that I'm not in charge. Oh well. I had a fast 3-mile walk last night. It should have been a gym night but the weather was so interesting I wanted to be outside. When I got home I even got the front yard mowed before the rain started. We had terrible tornados last night here in the Kansas City area. The wind was already fierce when I was walking, that's why I wanted to go - it's always kinda cool before they are scary. Terrible after but there is a certain feeling in the air in the hours leading up to it.15 -

5/23-161-I got a walk in and yoga yesterday and ate OK, I just need to drink more water.
5/24-160-I got a 7 mile walk in yesterday and ate well. Today my family gets together for pizza for a cousins visit. Yikes!
5/25-161-Better than I thought! Quilting class yesterday with pizza for lunch and no walk! I will get my walk in today!
5/27-160-I did not weigh myself during the weekend because I knew it would be up. Have a good week everyone!

05/23 326.4 A nice start to the round.
05/24 328.0 I’m not surprised by the bounce up, it happens whenever I have a hotdog. In addition I did some weight lifting yesterday and a couple of muscles are a little stiff/sore today. Last but not least I went a bit overboard with some cookies a couple of days ago and it usually takes a day or two for things like that to show in my weight. It’s okay though as I’m fully on track again and know that I’ll see a loss again soon.
05/25 328 I’m not sure why I didn’t have a drop. I’m guessing that I’m still retaining water weight. Hopefully I’ll see a drop soon.
05/26 329.6 I’m trying to tell myself that it’s pre tom bloat weight. I’ve been on track and low sodium, I log and weigh everything, so at this point that’s the only thing that makes sense. Tom should arrive tomorrow and hopefully I’ll see some drops.
05/27 328.8 That’s a good sign and hopefully once tom starts I’ll see more bloat weight go.
05/28 329 It has to be tom weight. I can say this, but it’s harder for me to believe it. I know that I have bounced around like this before and it too passed. I guess I’ll see what tomorrow brings.

05/23: 193.0 (I had a slight increase in weight and I'm sure it's because of soreness and TOM has just barely ended. I'm staying the course and hope the weight falls off as my body adjusts back to a more normal cycle. I made some chicken breast kabobs and rice for dinner last night and did a 55 minute TurboFire workout.)
05/24: 192.0 (My body loves this number! My weekly loss this week is 0.8 pounds. It's still the lowest weight I've been since on this weight loss thing. I hope to make my goal next Friday! I did my 5K training last night. I do 30 minutes and 3 of those minutes I ran consecutively! I was proud of that. It was hard no doubt about that! I made meatball subs for dinner last night and had a small one.)
05/25: 191.8 (Woohoo a new low! I did not expect this at all and I’m happy to see it. Last night I went out to dinner with hubby and some family. I had a couple pieces of bread and some short ribs. I did not do a workout yesterday.)
05/26: 191.0 (Now thats a new low! I officially have 50 pounds to go until my goal weight. I’m so close to my mini goal weight for Happy Scale. Once I hit 190 my reward is a gym membership. I’m so excited! Last night I did no workout and I was at my nephews 4th birthday party and ate a lot.)
05/27: 192.0 (This is an amazing Monday weigh in! I know this will be an amazing week and I hope I can get into a new decade by Friday! I ate pizza last night for a friends bday party and I did my 5K training yesterday during a little rain and 50 degree weather. I ran 3 minutes in a row and could’ve done more but followed my plan.)
05/28: 192.0 (Staying right here, but that's okay! I had a good day yesterday just relaxing after a busy weekend. I did a bunch of laundry and grocery shopping as well. We had cheese quesadillas with chips and queso for dinner last night and I did a 55 minute TurboFire workout.)
05/29: 191.4 (I did my 5K training yesterday and added 3 more minutes of running to include 6 now. OMG was that difficult! There are tons of hills by my house and when I was going downhill, I felt like my form was horrible and I was stomping my feet. The next time I run, I'm going to focus on my form to not injure myself. I made eggs and potatoes last night with fruit for dinner. So close to goal!!)

@shay_L_D I’m don’t have my college body back but I am under my college weight! It’s been a bumpy ride over the last 50 years with 2 pregnancies, multiple weight increases (as high as 197, to the best of my knowledge) and losses. I wish I had known then what I know now, I wouldn’t have all this droopy skin!6

I am so excited I joined last round. I had done these in the past. This time around I am getting some medical assistance which is why I am dropping so quick, that and staying in 1200-1400 calories! I am just so excited to actually make progress, I haven't been this weight in years!!

Day 7 of Round 78
First timer on message board and challenge.

Recovering from abdominal hysterectomy and benign tumor removal on 4/02/2019. It was recommended I see a nutritionist since my activity is low to non-existent with 12 week recovery. It was fortunate I visited the community page on MFP and found this challenge. The challenge helps with accountability.

05/23 - 183.4 - first day of logging food and weighing portions.
05/24 - 181.4 - yesterday I made a conscience effort to drink all my water, smarter food choices, weigh all food portions and no eating after 7pm. I decided my 12 week recovery doesn't entitle me to eat whatever and whenever.
05/25 -181.1 - I'm happy with the loss since I was not as diligent with water in take and had dinner at 8:30 pm. One of my college sons home and I waited to have dinner with him. I am hoping to go for a 3 mile walk today.
05/26 - 181.6 - I'm finding it challenging to eat before 7:00 pm with all my family home. We had another late night dinner and staying up way too late. I decided to enjoy my family over the holiday weekend and focus on fine tuning my eating and time frame on Tuesday. I won't go crazy with my food choices, however, I will allow myself to enjoy and (try) not to feel too guilty over the holiday weekend.
05/27 - 181.2 - a little more water yesterday. I believe I will have better focus for the remainder of the challenge. I enjoyed the holiday weekend with my kids being home.
05/28 - 181 - a little more focus on food choices and water in take. My boys are back at school, so no more excuses on food choices or eating later than 7pm.
05/29 - 182 - yesterday was my first day back to work after 8 weeks off. I failed to drink water through out the day and worked through lunch. I came home exhausted. I need to plan my day (food) better to be more successful while working. I see nutritionist this afternoon. I'll have her help me tackle remembering to eat and drink at work. I'm sure the 4 long weekend helped the with the gain as well.
