R78 SW 142.5 lbs / 64.4kg -***- EW 143.5 lbs / 65.1kg (gained 1lbs / 0.7kg)
R79 SW 143.5 lbs / 65.1kg -***- EW 139.5 lbs / 63.3kg (lost 4lbs / 1.8kg)
Round 80
I'm 32 and from Glasgow, Scotland
USW (July 2017) : 172 lbs / 78kg
R80 SW: 139.5 lbs / 63.3kg
R80 GW: 137 lbs / 62.1kg
GW: 133 lbs / 60.3kg
UGW: 126 lbs / 57.2kg
R80 Goal: Round 79 (my 2nd round) was much better than R78, working my way to a 4lb loss! The goal for this round is to keep up with the training and controlled eating. I have Tough Mudder this round too and I can't wait!
My overall aim for the whole month of June is to train consistently - with that should come the weight / inch loss.
Also... 10K steps a day and more water!
12/06 138.5lbs / 62.8kg (-1lb / 0.5kg) and 12,879 steps
Had a good day yesterday with exercise and food. Was especially chuffed to have enough calories to eat a WHOLE tub of low cal raspberry ripple ice cream last night (350 cals for the full tub) while watching my favourite TV show Today's plan is much of the same...walk to and from work with a Push session at lunchtime. Keeping up with the water intake too.
13/06 139.5lbs / 63.3kg (+1lb / 0.5kg) and 11,922 steps
Can't shift the feeling of disappointment when I see a gain, no matter how small. But my body feels like it has been hit by a train today after my Push session at the gym. At least I know where the gain came from. I have Functional HIIT tonight after work and have a good day ahead of me all round
14/06 138.75lbs / 62.9kg (-0.75lbs / 0.4kg) and 18,737 steps
Was expecting another gain because I'm still achy, plus I weighed in later than usual, but happy with this. The 45 min HIIT class last night was very cardio intensive so got a great workout 💪 Was meant to be leg day today but seeing as Tough Mudder is this weekend, I made an executive decision to miss it today. Will be getting my steps in as going to a farm with the little one today. Only challenge will be water intake so taking my own bottle to fill up as we toddle around.
15/06 141lbs / 64kg (+2.25lbs / 1.1kg) and 7,535 steps
Really not happy with this as was under my calorie goal yesterday. Didn't hit my step goal as there wasn't as much walking on the day trip as I would have liked. Also forgot my water bottle so I suppose this gain could be coz of poor water intake coupled with not going to the toilet 😔 Oh well, today I am going for a loooong walk despite the rain to get my steps in. Food today will be protein packed as I am doing Tough Mudder tomorrow, can't wait!
16/06 142.4lbs / 64.6kg (+1.5lbs / 0.6kg) and 7,850 steps
A well deserved gain after a chocolate binge last night. Was expecting more so might see it tomorrow 🤦♀️ anyway, Tough Mudder today 💪

ROUND 80 (Round 22 for me)
5’4 ½” 67 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
Goal: Maintain between 135 and 140 lb. and increase muscle, endurance, and jogging distance (while not damaging my knees).
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-70 = 44 lb.
I started and finished the last three rounds with a high weight of 135. I’ve grown accustomed to the keto WOE and, mostly, stick to that, but I add extra carbs when I’m under 135, which is almost daily. I’m in my third week of a strength training program. I already feel stronger. The loose skin may be irreversible, and, if so, I’ll try to be content with being strong and feeling good.
Day/Weight/Comment
06/12 134.8 I’m almost finished with the first 30 days of my strength training program (it’s taking me 32 days), and my strength and endurance are both improving. Thank you, Lord, for the ability to bounce back!
06/13 134.6 Today was a rest day from my strength training, so I rested—played cards with friends, then mowed the back yard. I mowed the front yard last night. The A/C was out for a couple of days, but my handy husband fixed it this afternoon! Hooray! Praise God, the last couple of days were unseasonably cool, so, with the windows open, our nights were comfortable. The weather is starting to heat up again, so my DH fixed the A/C just in time.
06/14 135.2
06/15 134.4 Yesterday, I had a good walk/jog with Thor, but I don’t remember much else about the day. I stayed busy until it was too late and I was too tired to post. Today was another busy day, and it’s after midnight, so officially tomorrow (?), but late nights are the norm at my house. I helped clean the community center this morning and, in the afternoon, my husband and I labeled brandy bottles for neighbors (an Austrian woman and her Texan husband) who opened a distillery near us. It was interesting and fun! We met some nice folks, had a couple of “motivation shots,” and we sampled a couple of products, but we drink sparingly. We bought two bottles, and we’ll wait for a special occasion with family or friends to bring them out. I completed my cardio workout after we got home, so that ended the "Burn" month of my strength training program. Tomorrow, I begin the "Push" phase.

I am 52 y/o 5’1.5” from PA. I have a ways to go to reach my ultimate goal of 110lbs. Weight loss is harder as you get older but not impossible. It definitely is a life time change and it tends to slow down quicker, and every day is a struggle. @FarmerCarla Ages 7 and 9, being active isn't the problem (weather permitting). The 7 year old can be so draining, he has serious behavioral issues which can cause problems with some activities. He also has a TSS worker everyday for 2 or 3 hours (usually here for 9:30 or 10am and then a behaviorist about once a week). It is great to have my grandkids, love the summer with them, but hard to do anything else or what I want to be active.6 -

13/06 - 199.2 not a great day yesterday. Wrather was cold and wet so stayed in and nibbled all day. Hurt my foot also so cannot walk or run. Not a great start to the round.
14/06 - 200.4 - time to get my focus back
15/06 - 200.6 - not a great day foodwise and I cannot run or walk briskly.

UGW - somewhere in the mid-130's.
Goal for round 80 - stay in the 130's. This round will be very challenging as my birthday falls in this one. Have two birthday outings planned this weekend, plus Father's Day and my actual birthday next Wednesday. Back in March I set a goal for 138 by my birthday. But that's pretty aggressive based on where I am today, so my goal will be to stay in the 130's this challenge. (I'm quite proud of my 10.5 lb loss in under 3 months so I'm not disappointed if I don't hit 138 by next Wednesday )
6/12 - 139.3. Nice to start with a drop. Wins yesterday: HIIT/tabata class, lots of water, 4.5 mile walk. The anxiety eating hit midday thanks to homework/final exam prep with my daughter, she's stressed so mom is stressed. Got that under control after a bit and a long walk while she had practice helped with a mind reset, and had a very light dinner to offset. Really need to focus on stress/anxiety management so I don't keep turning to food.
6/13 - 140.7. Up 1.4 lbs in a day?? I'm sad and stressed. Wins yesterday: bodycombat class, hydrated well, stayed in a deficit. Didn't get to walk because of rain. I wasn't the best with food but not as bad as I've been in recent days. Maybe it caught up to me? Maybe too much sodium? Maybe stress showing up? I don't know but I feel defeated after a couple of good days. I know it's normal to bounce around but it still stinks. Will work on drinking tons of water today in hopes that helps the sodium (if that's part of the issue).
6/14 139.3. And 1.4 gone in a day? So weird. But I’ll take it. Wins yesterday: RPM class and 3 mile walk. Hydrated well. Stayed within a deficit. Going out for a late dinner and drinks tonight so will do my best today to prep for that and hopefully not do too much damage on the scale tomorrow.
6/15 -140.9 whoa. Went out for an early birthday celebration. Ate dinner at 9pm and it was salty (Mexican food), and had a few cocktails. I don’t indulge like that often and now I see why! Yikes.
6/16 - 139.6. Coming back down. Wins yesterday: HIIT class, stayed under calorie goal. Drank a lot of water, trying to offset the dehydration from the day before. Not sure how much I’ll lose this round, we will see. Tired of this bouncing around and need to stop indulging so much!

@nikki062181 I am back! It has been a long time since I have done this challenge. I was 17lbs from my goal weight and have since gained 17 additional pounds. The truth?! Life got in the way. I'm constantly busy and just started eating out more and exercising less. Time to reel it back in.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK!
First step: Track calories
Second step: Measure my portions
Third step: Cut out carbonated beverages
Fourth step: Cut out too many sweets
5th step: Push water!!!!
OSW: 232 lbs
CSW: 159 lbs

Here is to wishing I can get down to 153 - 155 in these 10 days. 🙏
6/12: 159 Did not drink enough and was way under my calorie intake.
6/13: 157 Did not drink enough and was way under my calorie intake (been battling with altitude sickness)
6/14: 154.8 😮 Met my calorie goal but my macros were off. I ate too many carbs due to having chicken pizza for dinner. I did consume 34 ounces of water, drank no carbonated beverages, and had no candy either
6/15: 154.6 I nailed my macros yesterday! 🥳 I pushed pushed myself and drank 51 ounces of water. 😯 I know I'll be living in the bathroom today. I'm going to continue to push water but am bumping it up to 3.5 bottles of water today so I can get in 60 ounces. I swept my entire house and did more laundry yesterday.
6/16 153.8 🥰 I'm getting there. I'm feeling like doing a little dance today! I only completed 2.5 bottles yesterday. I was short by 1 whole bottle. So, let us hope I will do better today. Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's and single Mom's out there!14 -

06/13 324.4 Still going down and it flashed 323.8 for a second, so maybe it’s telling me that tomorrow will bring another new low. I’m hopeful of seeing a 60 pound loss this round or early next.
06/14 325.2 I’m trying not to be very frustrated. I know that this is inflammation/water weight because my back and leg are hurting a lot today.
06/15 326.2 I’m not surprised as I know it’s from sodium and not from over eating. I’m beginning to feel like a broken record though. I’m trying to focus on how much I’ve lost so far and how much more that I’ve been doing. My nsv is that I’m starting to hit a consistent 3000 steps a day and I’m able to take my dog on short walks several times a day.
06/16 325.2 That’s the right direction and hopefully the first of several drops. With all the aches I had when I got up I had prepared myself for a gain. I got in an early walk and I hope that the weather will be good enough for one or two more.

Day/Weight/Comment
06/12 146.0 I didn’t exercise yesterday (first time in three weeks) and I also didn’t gain so shows that I can (and probably should) take rest days since I feel more energized now. This week is my TOM and I’m going to start tracking. I used to put it in my notes section of MFP but I can’t find that so easier to track old fashioned style to see how much I do and don’t gain
06/13 145.8 It is nice to see a new number. I managed to do 35 minutes yesterday at the gym, which I usually avoid completely for 2-3 days on my period. Today is really busy so I’m going to try to get the deficit on food alone.
06/14 145.4 yesterday was not an ideal diet day. I didn’t eat much, but drank more than usual. My nba team lost and it was a nail biter and an aperol spritz excessive game! Back to water and actual food today.
06/15 145.4 ate well yesterday and off to a boxing class today with a friend and watching a movie after.
06/16 145.0 great to meet another happy scale milestone! I’m confident I can meet my goal and end this round under 145. Going to brunch with my parents for father’a day. It’s a buffet so will be easy to make good choices .

Summer vacation is when the real struggle happens.
I'll be in town all of next round, so hopefully I'll get my act together!
I'm going to work to lose the weight I gained in Kansas City before I head to the lake in a few days.
There was just so much good food in Kansas City....

06/11 …..195.9 ….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
06/12 …..195.9 ….. 3 Travel days out of 10 this round. My food weakness is in traveling. UGG. I’m hoping to NOT go hog wild on these days and keep my nose in the trough a little too much! Yesterday was a good day again. Yesterday’s stats: 1369 Calories In / 2334 Calories Out. 29 Net Carbs. 10,030 Total Steps & 4.24 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 34 minutes. No change in the unexpected weight gain. Patience is truly a virtue. Welcome to all the newbies & good luck everyone on this round. Thanks to @GrandmaJackie for providing this lovely spot where lives are changing everyday!
06/13 …..195.7 ….. Travel starts today.
06/14 …..xxxxx ….. Travel no weigh. Reading posts. Will be home this evening.
06/15 …..198.6 ….. Mexican & Chinese in the two days of travel. Now.... to undo the damage. Okay, so today I have reacquainted myself this morning with the process of fat adaption. I have read a few articles to refresh my (often brain-fogged) memory and I am ready to go! Here are the articles I’ve read this morning. Page 1: https://perfectketo.com/fat-adapted/ and Page 2 which is a link within page 1 https://perfectketo.com/what-is-the-ketogenic-diet/. There is certainly a lot more out there but all I have time for this morning. Youtube will be my best friend later tonight and I think I will rewatch the long video of butter bob “Butter makes your pants fall off” which I remember as being the greatest motivator for me when I first started my journey to better T2D numbers, weight loss & overall health. Thanks @quiltingjaine for the firm but caring push in the right direction. Yesterdays stats on my fitbit showed 13,785 Steps (mostly shopping with fitbit on my shoe). 5.83 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit step hours achieved while stopping during travel . I slept 6 hours & 17 minutes last night which is a lot for me. Probably carb overload & crash. My calorie & carb count for yesterday was way way too high I’m sure. I wish I would have skipped the rice, that would have helped. Today is a new day. I am beginning my fat adaption process & am looking forward to it like you wouldn’t believe. I have missed my prepped meals from home the last two days. More movement & more water is also on the horizon.
06/16 …..198.1 ….. Better. Not enough water but I did drink some parsley tea to offset the bloat. Spring cleaning Unit #3 today which will keep me in lots of walking & on my feet. I also have a couple of cabins to clean after check-outs. Probably no planned dancing or exercise today, but lots of physical activity & work. Yesterdays stats: 1358 Calories In / 2317 Calories Out. 19 Net Carbs. 10,437 Total Steps & 4.42 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 22 minutes & woke up refreshed. Today will be day #2 on my fat adaption plan. Additional travel this week unexpected for emergency furniture shopping. I plan on eating breakfast food when dining out. I am going to stay strong! Fat adaption can take anywhere from days to weeks. Since I was adapted before, I think my body will remember & get there sooner than later. Have a great Sunday everyone!

06/12 - 192.0 (Back to this number that my body loves, but at least I'm 0.8 pounds down from yesterday. TOM should be here in 1 day according to my app. I had Trader Joe's mandarin chicken last night with rice and did my 5K training where I had to run 9 of 30 minutes. Oh my was it hot yesterday! 105 degrees and I did intervals instead of straight through since the air was so thin. I'm glad I accomplished it though!)
06/13 - 191.4 (A slight decrease but way higher than last week's weight. TOM is here any day now! I had breakfast for dinner and did my first spin class in years! My lower body is hurting today!)
06/14 - 190.8 (I gained 1.8 pounds this week but I just got TOM yesterday one day early. That explains all the water weight! I did a 5K training session even though I didn’t want to at all!)
06/15 - 190.6 (Forgot to post yesterday but weight is starting to go down because of TOM! I had chipotle and didn’t do a workout!)
06/16 - 191.0 (Went in a date night last night and ate half of my dinner. I didn’t get a dessert this time! I did a 5K session and I’ve been having trouble running. I read online to run slow! I’ve been running too fast that I can’t seem to run long enough. Can’t wait to try this Tuesday!)

Day-Weight-Comment
06/12--207.2 Had a great day yesterday... felt in control with my eating. PT today.
06/13--207.4 Went to PT yesterday and he gave me the ok to do my normal weightlifting!!! I haven't talked to him about running, but when I go see him tomorrow I will ask.
06/14--206.3 The loss today is a reflection of me getting my head back in the game. Last round I wasn't as focused and the scale showed a temporary increase, but now that I'm more in control of my eating and I'm back to exercising more the water weight is almost gone and I'm heading back in the right direction. PT today and working out.
06/15--206.1 PT gave me the go ahead to do all my normal weightlifting and to start running...I am so excited!!! I am supposed to start slow, running 1 mile at a time for the first week, but I am glad to be able to run again after almost 1 month of no running. Right after PT I went to the gym and did my weightlifting and it felt great. I may go out for a run today, but I will see how my hip feels after yesterday's workout. Going to work on getting my water in today.
06/16--206.1 Hip felt sore when I woke up yesterday so I didn't run yesterday and just took it easy. Success yesterday was getting my water in and limiting my snacking. Went out for a long walk with the dog this morning and then going to the hairdresser later this morning.

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40.

Day/Weight/Comment
06/12 383.8
06/13 384.2 (+ 0.4) Will probably gain again tomorrow. Had rib tips for dinner this evening. Did ok the rest of the day. Got over 8700 steps. My goal is 7000.
06/14 381.8 (- 2.4) Nice surprise.
06/15 384.2 (+ 4.6) that number is definitely salt from 2 meals out yesterday. Not concerned about it. Will drink plenty of water and this will be down in a day or two. Unfortunately I have leftovers today which is why it may take 2 days or more. On weekends I don’t get in as much water as I do on weekends when I am at work. No way a 4 pound gain if any)).

My journey … ("I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!")In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbsMy highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.:flowerforyou: SW 373.4 - 1/3/19 GW 299 - 12/31/19 :flowerforyou:Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)
