Drinking alcohol and hangovers

It's good to have a night out and a good time, and having a bunch of drinks now and then is whatever but consider the way you're feeling after is legit a sort of poisoning. As part of my weight loss and diet overhaul I reduced my drinking a lot and now when I have alcohol the effects are more heightened and noticeable and it honestly doesn't feel great sometimes especially if I am thinking hard about what it's really doing to me. I'm not about to go teetotal or anything but I do think twice or three times before I have any alcohol these days.3

Yes, I think it's important to point out that the posts expressing concern weren't making a morality judgement, they are concerned about your health. That much alcohol on an empty stomach for a woman is a recipe for a trip to the ER for alcohol poisoning. Women dying from binge drinking related alcohol poisoning is a real thing, and people don't want you to end up in the hospital. And it's not the kind of thing where since it hasn't gotten you yet, that means you're immune.

Anyway, glad to hear you're going to eat a little bit more and drink less next time. Maybe ask one of the people you're with to help you limit it. I personally find I am incapable of determining a proper amount of food while I'm drinking and while I feel like crap afterwards. That combined with the feeling like crap keeps me from having more than a couple of drinks anymore, it's not worth it for me. Hope you find your happy medium7 -

Alcohol is the DEVIL π€£π€£π€£π€£
What is a Kopperberg ?
you are right alcohol is the Devil0 -
Kopperberg is like alcopops used to be, I think. My niece and her friends were drinking it last time I was back in the UK. Tall and fruity, probably malt liquor.0

This... All the way!
OP... eventually (probably) you may reach a point where you become sick of feeling like crap and that will be your own personal line to draw.3 -
You are all right... Iβve definitely opened my eyes to the dangers of my binge drink π― I felt awful the next day!
So Iβve decided to not drink for a while and focus on my overall health ... itβs just not worth it at all ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
So again thank you to EVERYONE for telling me how it is and I think I am trying to sugar coat it... itβs not good!!!
I need to be healthy for my kids because Iβm there world and frankly I need to be in it π―π―π―π―π―
Iβm actually glad I posted this... because itβs been a real eye opener to the danger Iβm putting myself in ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
I think when/if I do drink Iβll have singles instead of double and maybe have 3/4 MAX drinks and space them out because I really did feel like death warmed up π€£π14 -
Spicy food, it satisfies the craving a bit more. Maybe some healthy noodles and veggies, just make sure it has lots of umami flavour and spices and it will be a bit more satisfying.0

One of the things to have a think about as you try to manage this kind of habit is the friends you are doing it with, and how you egg each other on. Have a frank talk with them maybe about how they feel about it and what you are all getting out of these nights out and if there's other ways you can bond and let off steam. You might find some of them feel the same. I might be wrong but I grew up in the NW of England and I'm pretty sure I recognise my old club scene in your experience.0
