Going to treat myself to a pedicure, a nice meal, and a movie to try to cheer myself up and get out of the house. Hopefully the distraction will help.

06/22 136 18/30 accomplished. Was able to get off work early today but I was so tired I passed out when I had chores and meal preps...😥😥😥 I also just found out my day off on Monday is no longer happening. I should be there for three hours only (just to organize inventory) but who knows. I want this rounds food choices to be better. This job won't be getting any easier and if I am stationed here then I need to learn to adapt to my new environment. So far I have worked two weeks straight...I don't think I have ever worked so hard in my life, which I don't mind because I love it, it's just the meal preps that are getting to me

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40.

June 22 - 177.8 - having some very busy days preparing for daughter’s wedding and shower and getting a job on top of it!

June 24 - 177.2 - I am supposed to be walking to my new job, one of the perks is it's within walking distance. The weather is not cooperating yet though. Hopefully we eventually get some sunshine that lasts more than a day.8 -
@nikki062181 This 38-year-old just finished up round 80 with a 4.2lb loss. Yay!!!! I met my goal but barely the last 10 days. Here is to meeting it again in this 10 days. I was 17lbs from my goal weight and have since gained 17 additional pounds. I'd like to at least lose those 17 lbs before I have to start teaching again. I've had it hard the last year. My MIL, who I consider my Mom, passed away from a long battle with lung cancer. My Grandpa passed away 8 months later. I graduated from college while being married and having 3 kiddos, and completed my first year in the classroom last year. I also found out that my middle child is battling multiple mental illnesses, which were triggered by the loss of his Grandma. I had to take a step away from my weight loss journey. My family needed me, but I need to be healthy too. So, here I am...going for it again.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK!
First step: Continue to track calories
Second step: Continue to measure my portions
Third step: Continue to cut out carbonated beverages
Fourth step: Continue to cut out too many sweets
5th step: Push water!!!!
6th step: Take my B12 supplement daily at lunch because I have a deficiency
7th step: Walk 15 minutes a day at minimum and do arm exercises starting on Monday for this goal.

6/22: 154.8 I ate a very healthy, high protein lunch yesterday, so I could have pancakes, hashbrowns, and a flurry for my birthday treat. I am so glad I did because I did not want to wake up and regret my weight gain this morning. I had almost forgotten to take my B12 also, so I ended up taking that one late. I'm very inconsistent with the time I weigh myself too. When I head back into work in August, times will finally be consistent. Until then, I want to enjoy when I get up...whenever that is.
6/23: 154.2 My son begged me not to make anything healthy because his gf came over last night, and he didn't want to be embarrassed. My husband asked me to eat whatever I wanted when I ordered carryout from this pizza joint. I knew I had treated myself already because of my birthday on Friday. So, I had a salad with extra protein and some breadsticks. It paid off. 😁
6/24: 153.8 I have really been enjoying these smoothies for breakfast. They're quite yummy. Since I have life threatening food allergies, I have to be creative when making some things. So, I cannot use a lot of fruit or fillers like most are able to. However, the ones I've been having are quite refreshing.13 -

Phooey! But ok, I did over-indulge on Saturday - emotional/frustration eating. Major problems with the so-called landscaper we hired to dig out new beds -- aside from never showing up when he promises and then working an hour or less per day, he dumped a load of clay fill into our beds instead of garden soil. Aaaggghhh! I'm so frustrated - I have perennials & annuals sitting in pots as I expected to have them in the ground 2 weeks ago. So I ate chocolate and other junk to comfort myself, which of course it did not. What did help was when I decided take back control, so I bought myself a small electric tiller and some cheap planters to hold the plants until the beds are actually ready, and I planted the annuals in my existing front-yard beds. They'll be crowded, but that's ok, they're in the ground and can be moved later. I HATE depending on unreliable people, and this guy takes the cake. Anyway, I know part of this bump up is water because I had way too much sodium, and I'm taking back control of my emotions and food as well as my garden. So there! (Sorry for the off-topic rant, but really it's not since most of us are familiar with eating in the face of frustration, and the post-bad-eating recriminations.)

@shaunTshaun You can do it! I found giving up bread was tough - it took 6 weeks for it to quit screaming at me from the freezer! (I couldn’t just get rid of it since my husband was still eating it.) And after 10 MONTHS I finally threw it all in the trash! (By then he had quit eating it too!) Now it all tastes MEH when I try it.

06/21 150 ~ {Steps 17,841} ~ Yesterday was a topical Thursday, I had a tough time staying focus plus my husband decided he wanted Popeyes for dinner. 06/22--207.2 Went out for my 1 mile run and the hip still feels great. I'm going to get back to running 3x a week next week. Ran some errands today and now relaxing for the rest of the day.
06/23--206.5 Hardly drank any water yesterday, so late at night I had 2 big glasses of water. I was worried I would be up all night having to go to the bathroom, but I didn't have that problem. Trainer today to make up for a missed session 2 weeks ago and then going out for a long walk with my dog and with my new coworker's wife. My coworker has told me for months that me and his wife would get along and should meet, so walk is our meeting. It's hard to make friends as an adult, but it's also weird because it feels like a first date. We'll see how this goes. If nothing else the walk will help me get my steps in.
06/24--205.6 I saw this weight last round but it didn't stick around, we'll see how it goes this round. I am sore from yesterdays workout, but the long walk afterwards helped reduce the DOMS. Going for a run tonight and going to get my water in.

06/23- 202.4 - I'm shocked! Was at my boyfriends, had sushi for dinner (super light on rice) the night before and when I got home this morning I saw I had gone down! It could be because I spent most of Saturday helping him clean and organize his room and even though we had a big breakfast we skipped lunch and went straight to dinner and had ice cream.
06/24- 202.4 - I'm so happy this didn't go up. I wasn't feeling good at all yesterday. Had a memorial for my cousin's dad and something I ate had just really messed with my stomach. Boyfriend and I ended up at chilis for dinner. I didn't have much and will be having my leftovers today, but I went hard on those endless chips and salsa. @SheilaBoneham Totally identify with "eating in the face of frustration." Dumping clay in the beds??? That would frustrate me too. I've been working hard on redoing weedy beds, planting perennials, so that we can put our house on the market next spring. Husband has been telling our kids that the yard is "too much for her(i.e. me, since I do all the non-grass yardwork)" and we should move into a seniors place with no yard care. Good grief! I'm 66 and in reasonable health except for my weight. So that has made me more determined than ever, but it took a weekend of frustration eating to work my head around it. I need to be like you - make a plan so it is not just a big overwhelming problem.

Back again after vacation. Lots of driving, active visits but no control on food. Good thing my kids are into healthy eating. Going to a family reunion in 3 weeks and would really like to feel fit and a little weight drop for it. Right now am just tired (as always after days of driving). 06/21 – 162.4 My weight before vacation was 162.2, so not up much considering travel snacking and out of control LNS the last 2 days since I got back.
06/22 – 162.4 Did go a bit over in cals. with LNS but within reason. Got a nasty project out of the way – removing double-sided tape from a window frame so I can paint. It has been on there more than 20 years. The trick was using my hairdryer heat to soften it up. Funny, the more I do, the less I overeat.

06/22 …..197.4 ….. A great day for me yesterday. Yesterday’s stats: 1300 Calories In / 3211 Calories Out. 18 Net Carbs. 21,607 Total Steps & 9.14 Total Miles. Lots of work activity. Planned exercise was 104 minutes of yardwork, 60 minutes of heavy cleaning & 32 minutes of Dancing. Sample song (I’ve used this one before) was “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder. Moderately paced it has the funk I needed to want to keep dancing some more. It will really get your groove on. Give it a try! Good luck everyone is Round 81.
06/23 …..196.4 ….. Another pound of whoosh! Cravings were pretty bad last night but I focused on the fact that I was not actually hungry to stave them off. Sipping on water helped but I was up & down all night shedding water. No biggie, I never expect to get much sleep anyway. Yesterdays stats: 1397 Calories In / 2391 Calories Out. 19 Net Carbs. 10,305 Total Steps & 4.36 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 9 minutes. More paperwork yesterday & less activity. I did manage to get in a 15 minute dance workout. Sample song “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith. . Sundays are physically active with room & cabin cleaning.
