Walking dogs a certain route without needing to stop and bend over to relieve the pressure on my spine. My core support was THAT bad! I remember finally getting to the door one night and realising - hey, my back doesn't hurt at all!15

Love all these accomplishments! I have been taking progress pics and can see the difference in how my clothes fit. Lost ten pounds in 5 months. Have 20 more to go!6

I really like this goal. It seems fun and seasonal and motivating.

I fit into two different pairs of medium panties today! I haven't worn mediums since college.14

I am making it my business to forsake sadness (replacing it with patience and counting my blessings for what and who I am and have/being content and grateful/thankful for/with all things--the good, the bad and the ugly--WHEN (not if but when) "bad/negative/hateful/wrong, etc. people, places or things or thoughts happen in and to me--looking for LESSONS TO APPLY IMMEDIATELY in/thru my life (AND THOUGHTS)--embracing the wonderful CHOICE/ABILITY to learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of others, instead of "nursing" grudges, upsets, and woe AND ridding myself of people, places and things that are toxic and not good for/to me, period--without an ounce of bitterness nor wrath, in real LOVE for myself and them).
Making myself Forsake "taking" offense (replacing it with a "whatever--God bless ya" attitude instead). I'm catching myself rejecting and casting out thoughts and/or feelings that "feel" right--but bring me to a place/state/attitude of "woe is me, poor me, that was wrong what they did, that hurts my feelings, ect.). I'm NOT ignoring things that happen to me, I'm just catching myself more and more when the YUCK of everyday life tries it's d@mnest to take me out of the place of PEACE and JOY and IMMEDIATELY replacing my thoughts and REACTIONS on:
Philippians 4:8 King James Version (KJV)
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
WOW...being in control of oneself is EVERYTHING, period. Much like weight blastification, it's hard...but so not impossible. Big ole NSV for REAL!

I had a few different events over the last week, and ate more than my target calories...but I didn't go overboard, just enjoyed it and carried on.
I am showing an extra pound or so on the scales as a result, but that's okay. Not going to let it get out of hand, will just keep on going. Those extra pounds will disappear sooner or later (I'm hoping for sooner, but whatever).10 -
What?? Are those abs I see? Or the start of them????31 -
I had two NSVs this week #1 - I went kayaking while on vacation in Myrtle Beach! This is huge for me, I have never done it before because I was too big to fit in the kayak. I didn't even worry about it beforehand, just plopped my behind in and fit VERY comfortably! AND we paddled for 2.5 hours and I wasn't winded or tired at the end - it was glorious! I wasn't even sore the next day! Woot!!! #2 - I just did my own pedicure. I can actually bend over for long periods of time and breathe. Mind blowing, really. Going to get some more clothes on ThredUp with the $50 I just saved27

Took some progress pics recently and noticed my stomach doesn't stick as far out and my butt/legs are getting more defined!20

Things have been going smoothly enough for me to completely miss my 365-day streak on MFP.29

That’ll show them! I don’t think any of the other soccer moms can deadlift as much as you!” 😂😂 you tell them, son!
My son has used that one! :laugh:6 -

You know it's working when you go down a panty size!!!4 -
I had 2 people tell me they can tell I've lost weight. That's the first since i've started over 4 months ago. I also took another full length photo and last time I was happy because I didn't HATE the photo. But this time, I actually really love it13

I have been running 1.5 miles every single day before work for 5 weeks now, to try to get my time below 14 minutes and 30 seconds, which is the requirement of the police academy test, and I am looking to take the test this fall.
Today is the first day I would pass that test, at 14 minutes and 27 seconds.42 -

I really didn't want to work out this morning, like at all, but I got out of bed and went to the gym anyway. Squats, Lunges, Glute kickbacks, Step-ups, Crunches and 25 minutes on the elliptical all done! Some days you just have to suck it up and do it anyway23

Amen, sister. Discipline is what gets me moving when motivation is lacking. And you always feel better when the workout is done!14 -
Dropped my car off this morning for some work to be done. They offered me a lift home, but I declined and walked back!
Now it's 11am, I am back home, and already met my daily 10,000 steps goal.17 -
Allowed myself a s'more on vacation today. Enjoyed it, logged it, and carried on:) No guilt, no remorse, and no spiral down the binge hole!!23

Tried on several shirts today from my closet that I hadn't fit into for a long time. All but one fit! I'm on my 30th day of MFP logging whole, low fat, tasty foods. I also use a wheelchair and everyone says it's so hard to lose using a w/c. I have found it isn't super hard when you set your mind to it and maintain discipline about what you eat. So I'm totally feeling like I have some control over this body33

Thank you for the reminder. It got me to spin yesterday when I really wasn't feeling like it, and I'll remember it today when I go lift weights alone bc my partner is out of town.4 -
hubby says you can tell when a woman gains weight by her arms. He said mine looked good. What a compliment! Maybe working out with small weights over the years has helped.7

Glad that helped. That's what I love about this website - the mutual support and encouragement is the best!

hubby told me this morning I have a cute nose...people used to tell me that a lot when I was young (and skinny ) I haven't heard that from anyone in many, many, many moons. Uhhh...BOOM!16

YES! I have 3, 7 hour plus marathons to my name, and I'm aiming for a sub 5 performance in Jan/March of next year. Following a Higdon marathon plan this time. Good work, and good luck on your next cycle!9 -
Throughout the whole of my pregnancy I kept a good blood pressure ranging from 110/70 to 120/80. I started it fit and healthy and tried to keep as much fitness I could all the way through, gained a bit too much weight but was fit still. I had a strong healthy big baby to show for it.27
