Final thoughts : I had a very emotional month but I’ve gotten such amazing support and compassion here. I think I’m going to continue my daily weigh ins for next month instead of once a week. I can't believe I'm in the vanity weight-loss stage!! This is when it get super real because you they say the last 10 lbs are the hardest to lose. Well, I'm up for the challenge. My sister's birthday is July 1st, I will celebrate and enjoy myself just that day only--but I'm going to get back on track the next day! I've come too far to mess this momentum up! I lost 20+ lbs in one month! Albeit a lot of it was due to edema fluid/weight but, still, it's a major loss and most importantly, I feel great!!
Onward to July!!

End of Month Thoughts: Did not make my June goal, but ended the month with a net loss and a new low. I'll take it - I'm firmly in the 140's, despite a family greet together and a night out with friends!
My average steps have slacked off, as has my strength training routine - but I've had some labor intensive projects going on. They count even when I don't log them. 😏
I have noticed a weight spike immediately following one of those heavy project days. Guessing it's some sort of fluid response to the stress on my body. But I've also noticed I skip the actual exercise routine and don't hawk the steps that day and the day after, which may nite be helping.
My not consuming calories after 8pm has me on a 12 hour IF schedule. We've had a couple of late dinners on project days, so I need to pay closer attention to that as well. I think I will extend my IF 2 hours, to 8pm to 10am, and see if that makes a difference.

June 28 - 162.1 - I had a nice rib feed last night. I used to have ribs once a week, then once a month, now this was the first time I have had them in 5 months. It might tip the scale for a few days, but I got a little tired of depriving myself all of the time and still barely losing any weight. I don't regret this. Nor can I eat only 1 rib for 270 calories, I had 6 ribs plus accompaniments. I suppose that I will have to stay away from them again for a long while.
June 29 - 162.4 - Residual still from the rib dinner, I am sure that tomorrow's weigh in will be better - my body is always slow to catch up. I am glad that there is one more day in the month to establish the end of month number.
June 30 - 162.6 - Well, I didn't end out the month with a bang or a whoosh for weight loss. I had ribs dinner again last night! Albeit just half of what I had on the 27th. Lol, it means there is half left! I got close to the 150s this month, maybe July, better be : - )

Work conference/mini vacation in San Diego last week. Ate amazing fresh seafood everyday. Scale was up 3lbs when I returned, so I’m okay with 1lb up. It was TOTALLY worth it.
More likely than fat gained from my trip, I think it’s normal fluctuation. Seems I’m usually up week 2, TOM comes week 3 and I lose mostly at end of week 4. I’ll have to watch the trend and see if that’s what happens again this month.

Final Challenge Thoughts: I have lost 2.6 lbs since mid June. This was a month of getting back on track after holidays & travel. I have worked on fat adaption & getting into ketosis. Upping my protein & fiber has been a huge goal that I have accomplished. There is much work to still be done on portion control & resistance to sweets, but I am up for the challenge. Happy Sunday!
I missed checking in last week. Finishing the month with a gain. Been through some stress the last couple of weeks, but the issue is resolved, husband left his job and starts another this coming week, so it's all good. Hopefully HE will have less stress going forward. He has an exciting opportunity before him.
Hoping I can stay below 200. Not going lie, I am frustrated and discouraged. I have been here before. I lose to this point and I am stuck. I have only lost 5 pounds in the last 12 months.

Thanks so much Jenn for your support. I just had to get out of my comfort zone. I asked myself, "How bad do you want this? Enough that I just had to let go of few habits in order to finally see results. Believe me, Jenn it's worth it! Hang in there.

June's work was for nothing, I had a few "eat like a normal person" days and that was all that it took to derail any weight loss. Kind of jealous of people who can eat normally, but it is what it is, I have to be disciplined and diligent. Hoping to get into the 150s in July for sure!

May was not a great month for me. I had way to much going on (vacation, graduation, end of the year programs/projects, and parties) every time I turned around. School is out for the summer though and I am ready to get back on track. Being a mother of 5 (2 which are adults supposedly) can take a toll on you sometimes. Thank goodness I have an amazing family and husband that help me.

All I can say is, I'm darn good at maintenance, since I've been in this decade for almost a year. I'm going to take some time and review the low and high periods of the past 9 months. I really think I need to eat more, as in more frequently, not more food. Fast for only 12hrs. I have no appetite and that's not good. When I do get hungry, its late in the day. Walk more for the oxygen intake. I'll see. I do want to add that I am very happy with my weight loss and have not become discouraged.

Ultimate Goal: 160-Something....
Already starting off the July month with a celebration filled with cakes and treats. My sister's birthday was today and I took it upon myself to indulge...and did--a lot! Also, not to mention the 4th of July holiday is coming up and I have plans that involve all of the familiar goodies and treats. So basically this week will not be a weight-loss week, more like "count it a loss week"; however, my second summer detox is next Monday. So all of this indulgence will be soon null and void by next Saturday the 13th.
