    I think you’re both doing great!

    Jo - What weight loss per week are you shooting for? Do you take walks or exercise? I’m wondering if you are getting enough calories?

    Thanks for asking. I do exercise daily (most days.) And I agree, on the days that it's TOM or mid-TOM, I need to allow myself a tad bit more throughout the day. I think that's what I learned this past week. That I CAN do several days in a row of being super-strict throughout the day and be okay at night. But on those TOM days, I need more calories throughout the day. And a decent sized dinner. Then I won't feel deprived and should be able to have the strength to not night-binge. I appreciate your support and offer of help. Making me think about it!!

    I was not able to control the salt /bread craving. All failed to use self-talk and my strategies. I just caved. TOM. I was prepared with chocolate treats, but not salt. :( ugh. It's a new day!! Back on the horse. I can do this.

    Conversion math frightens and befuddles me, but I'm intrigued by this challenge nonetheless.

    Day 3 under calorie goal. (2 days at 1450, then dropped it to 1350, but have been under on both.)

    I track my deficit (calories burned minus calories eaten):

    Week ending 6/5/19: 1,215
    Week ending 6/12/19: 2,367
    Week ending 6/19/19: 1,538
    Week ending 6/26/19: 1,184
    Week ending 7/3/19: 785 surplus, but likely due to eating at home more, ie more accurate. We’ll see.

    Thanks @hixa30! I lost 75lbs since Jan 2016, and have maintained under 155 since Thanksgiving 2017. I’d like to get comfortably below 153 (so probably 150), but my doctor is happy with 154-155.

    I get pretty hungry when I get closer to 153.

    Been hard to burn calories with illness & no exercise since mid-June. Pleased that so far, I’ve remained in maintenance.

    So to answer your question 3-5 lbs depending on the day’s weigh-in!

    Madison, I'm really hoping to see you reach goal weight here. Please post in here when it happens. I don't recall ever seeing someone reach goal weight on myfitnesspal.

    Oh, I will, but MANY people reach goal weight!! Check out the Maintenance discussions! VERY encouraging!

    Are you in the UAC group? Many in there are losing & many maintaining!

    My first GW was 169 - hit that May 2018
    Second was 155 - hit that Nov 2018
    Next was 150, I got to 150.X but was hungry all the time, so revised to 153 - hit that 10 weeks ago, April 25.

    It’s all trade-offs:
    Leanness vs. Not being hungry
    Muscles vs. Lower wt
    Etc.

    We’ll both figure it out.

    What I meant was sure, the maintenance group is good, but I've never seen someone here actually reach goal weight and say that they reached it that day. I've seen that on r**d*t (we aren't allowed to mention competitors to myfitnesspal), but not here.
