I’ve been riding the struggle bus over the past year. I’m starting a nursing program next month and I work in a Crisis unit and a mental health facility so my job is very high stress as well. Oh AND I’m a single mom, but I want to loose about 35 pounds over the next year or so, I just can’t seem to stick to anything. I’ve tried low-carb but I feel restricted and low-calories but I keep going over. However I do feel more satiated with being able to eat whatever as long as I’m staying under calories. I’m hoping by joining in this community I’ll have reasons to hold myself accountable and make progress this year!
Goals- Walk at least 30 minutes on my 4 days off.

Weigh in day for me today and I'm feeling pretty good about seeing a 4lb loss. I've been working hard and staying 100% on track, really hoping I can stick with it and lose a few more lbs this week.
How's everybody else doing?7 -
I can't seem to drop under 240... I've been stuck here for a couple weeks.
I know weight loss isn't linear but it's frustrating.3 -

Hello!
New to this board and looking to make some connections in my weight. It’s been quite awhile since I have really given it my all to lose weight. I have 2 boys, ages 2 and 5, and I stay at home. I find motivation to keep going on weight loss difficult. But at 240 and NEVER thought it would be this bad.....EVER.
I hope to talk more with you all! 😊2 -
New to My fitness Pal, looking for motivation and support. So ready to get this weight off. Please add me6

Okay, so last week began with my birthday cheat day 🎂 and ended with a vacation, so my calories have been a little all over the place. I only got one gym day in, but I did a lot of yardwork, cleaning, and moving stuff around all week, so it wasn't all bad.
This summer seems like it's going to be a little hectic, not being home and near my gym as much as I'd like. But I think if I can bring along my food scale and keep active as best I can, I should be alright! 🤞🤞🤞2 -
Finally! It wasn't a whoosh but I finally saw 239 on the scale. Officially into the 230's at last. Considering my heaviest was 276 at the beginning of the year, that's pretty crazy.
@tamz81 Today's meal plan:
Breakfast: Yogurt cup, honeycrisp apple, large coffee with milk and sugar.
Lunch: Chicken thigh and green beans w/salt and a little butter.
Dinner: impossible cheeseburger pie. It's one of the higher calorie things we make but it's sooo good. It's ground beef, pancake mix and cheese, basically.8 -
SW: 304 lbs (Nov 2018)
CW: 281 lbs
End of July GW: 277 lbs
GW: 238
Hope it's not too late to join. I've been back to using MFP the last couple of week tracking all of my food intake. I'm trying to hit between 1600 - 1800 calories no lower.
I've read that some of you are stuck, maybe try increasing your calories a bit for a week and see if that helps, or if you're low carb, have a higher carb day. I've heard that if you are in a plateau you need to switch it up a bit. It's about hormones for us women.4 -
Lol not sure why my food resulted in woos. It's not that weird.
Might try to find an alternative to chicken thigh though. It's kinda fatty. I like my chicken lean.1 -

Hi y’all! (We say “y’all” in Texas!) I hope it is okay to join this group. I am looking for encouragement and accountability as I try to break through the 200 lb floor that I haven’t been able to break since delivering my youngest 3 years ago. I like how this group is focused on actions as well as results for their goals, and look forward to more encouragement to come!

Hi! I just started back at work from maternity leave and decided to come back to MFP at the same time. It's day three now...and with two kids it's incredibly hard to stay motivated and not stress eat so maybe this group will help! I've been over 200 since my first pregnancy (and during my teen years I also was, lost it in my 20s and stayed in the 140s-150s for years, then slowly gained back when a bunch of personal life stuff happened). I'd like to get back down there as that is where I felt my healthiest!
