I can trim my toenails without wheezing for breath and taking breaks between each toe.22

Went back to my hometown for the 4th and saw people I haven't seen in the months. Several people were shocked and could not stop talking about how great I looked! One even joked they should let their son know I was back in town.
I also brought a suitcase filled with old clothes to give to my sister since they don't fit anymore. It felt great to get rid of those, but I need to go shopping soon since I'm running out of clothes, haha.11 -
@NewLIFEstyle4ME, I LOVE your necklace story!!!1

Several NSVs this last week:
1) I put on a pair of jeans I haven't worn in a while, and they are most definitely getting loose.
2) A friend at church told me I was looking really good. (I see her at the gym, so she knows I'm working at my weight and it wasn't just a general compliment.)
3) And the biggest one for me - This year my fitness goal is to be able to do real burpees. Prior to this year, my modification has just to step back, step forward, and stand or sometimes do the jump at the end. I've been working at jumping my feet back and forward instead of stepping. On Saturday morning I went to a class at the gym and I did 5 of those in a row! Previously, I have only ever done 2 or 3 in a row. And then I did quite a few more throughout the class, although not that many in a row again.19 -
I'm not big into running but my wife enjoys it thoroughly. This usually means I end up running a few 5ks and at least one 10k each year. This past Thursday we did our first 5k since the birth of our son in December so it was my wife's first race postpartum and my first pushing our little guy in a stroller. Other than the ~1.5 mile run the weekend before to get a feel for the stroller I believe the last time I ran any considerable distance was February of 2018. Thursday I was able to run the 5k in <30min with the stroller. I know not a blazing fast time but the attainable goal I'd set for this race.17

last year at this time I was 30 lbs heavier, someone I hadnt seen at the gym this morning said I noticed the weight you lost, been meaning to tell you how good you look!16
-
I just put on a pair of pants I haven't been able to wear in over a year, and they fit comfortably.16
-
I'm wearing a medium shirt for the first time since idk when.24

I have an eight day streak going on the bicycle. My longest streak so far this year (and longest since breaking my ankle last year) and my goal is to ride every day in July.
They completed a bike trail around a lake near me about 4 miles around the lake so was able to ride the new trail the past three days. The first day I rode over 10 miles to get there by a round about way using bike paths. I used about the same route the next day but was able to find a better way to get to the path without having to ride on the shoulder of a busy road. So this may become a new bike route for me to take. There are rumors that eventually we will have a official bike path to connect this park to other trails so that will be great.

JUMPING LUNGES.
I can finally do them with proper form for the allotted time!12 -
Spent the day cleaning my closet and like many of you inspirational folks I was surprised that many items that were in the “when I weigh less” pile are now in the “donate’ bag. They were much too large.
Also went to Costco with a list that included macadamia/carmel/chocolate candies. I had myself convinced I could just eat one a day. Very happy to report that I faced the fact that I would have binged on 6 or 8 (ok maybe more) per day. I am pleased to report that I left Costco without the candy! Progress is being made.23 -
I have had several in the last week or two. I can wear my original wedding ring again (haven't done that in over 10 years), finally went shopping since all of my clothes are too big and bought sizes even smaller than anticipated, and I can see my dimples when I smile!18

I walked up a frickin’ mountain!
I mean, maybe not a big mountain in the great scheme of things, but there was a time when walking just 200 metres caused me pain. And now I’m the sort of person who will voluntarily drive for three hours each way and spend money on hotels just so that I can do something physically strenuous. Also, for extra credit, I didn’t just do the six mile walk up and down again, but went along the ridge as well for a 15 mile circular hike. Including getting lost and wading through a bog (my poor boots).
I’m celebrating with a new profile picture

@ceiswyn First, that profile picture is epic! Second, what an AMAZING hike. You are inspiring me to go for a hike, though I do not have quite as pretty views. What an awesome NSV!5
-
To be fair, that was one of the best views; we got unlucky with the weather, so all we could see for most of the hike was fog. Rainy, rainy fog.
I can definitely recommend hiking, though; there is just nothing like walking through wilderness to refresh your mind!12 -
@ceiswyn Yes. I love hiking. I just need to get my bum back into it (June is always a crazy month). I much prefer hiking out into nature over almost anything else except swimming!

Today I was told by a lady in my building I look like I have lost alot of weight ❤️ first time anyone has noticed22
-
I usually get in 6,000-7,000 steps a day. Sunday I got in 13,355.....and i didn't hurt!!!22
-
Had to buy a smaller belt, and I've already moved in a notch in less than a week!15
-
I cleaned up my closet and removed anything that didn't fit because it was too big; I also got rid of anything I didn't like but bought solely because it "fit." I ended up donating 4 huge bags of clothes to my local mission. Bonus - I found several shirts I really like I thought I lost by thinning out my closet.17
-
I finished week 1 of C25K and started week 2 yesterday! I've previously tried C25K and usually only do a day or two before I decide it's too hard and just quit.21

A few NSV's from yesterday:
1.) a sales woman that was helping me asked me what kind of perfume I had on, I told her I mix a bunch of difference perfumes on me. She told me I was the best smelling person she's EVER come across and she loves the way "I smell"...made me smile
2.) One of my neighbors told me I'm looking so slim and CUTE...she thought I was one of my YOUNG (and skinny/slim & trim) daughters and then she told me she loves the way I dress and look.
3.) Went to get a McDonald's ice cream cone for dessert--when I got into the car with my ice cream cone, my hubby told me I looked like a little girl walking to the car with my ice cream cone. He said I'm looking a lot like I used to when we were in our teens!
4.) As I was getting dressed, my hubby told me it looks like my stomach is getting so much smaller
MEGA YAY!!!!

I did not gain any weight back while on vacation. I am home now and worked out and am counting calories again instead of giving up.26
-
This isn't a body NSV but more of a new mindset NSV... I'm a big emotional eater... happy, eat, sad, eat, mad, eat. Well, I just realized I don't do that so much anymore.. now when I feel strong emotions I workout instead, it's like the same urge wanting to workout as it was to eat before and it's such an awesome feeling.24

The getting back into it part is HUGE! Great job jumping right back in.sarahertzberger wrote: »This isn't a body NSV but more of a new mindset NSV... Yassssss!! Exercise had become my coping mechanism, my mood stabilizer, and my chocolate. I still eat it sometimes of course, but exercise gives me that boost of endorphins I used to only get from chocolate.10 -
I have knees and elbows again.
Boy was I mortified the day I realized I lost them, that even in a seated position you couldn't see my knee caps.23 -
My recent NSV is that my grey shorts are now loose around my thighs. 😀17
-
Today I felt very blah. Woke up at the usual 5:30 to get a walk in before it gets hot, and felt groggy. Never really recovered from that feeling--even my nap in the afternoon only got me halfway to normal. BUT even though I felt blah, I got dressed and went out for my walk--AND I didn't do just the walk that I consider to be my minimum for counting it as exercise, which is down to the park (2 miles total): I went down the trail to the railroad crossing (3 miles total).22

I beat my 7 year old kid running--uphill! He thinks he let me win, but I know the truth.24
