Wore a striped tank top tucked in. In front of people!
And it looks great on you! I've recently started wearing horizontal stripes, but the tuck in is still a step I'm not ready for yet. 🤷♀️
*Looking at your pic, I realize I have the exact silver necklaces you're wearing. 😁7 -
Trying a new move in yoga, and face planting, I guess one of the teenage girls behind snickered, because the woman next to me turned on them and said,”She’ll try anything”, with the implication being they hadn’t even tried. Had I not been busily scraping my nose off the floor, I would have hugged her for that.23

This is a great thread. Very inspiring to read the postings. You guyz are great!
My NSV: Fitbit says my resting heart rate is 159bpm. Never been that low before. Been there for a few days now. Trying to stop junking out and trying to maintain a regular workout schedule. Must be doing something right.6 -
One of my daughters, that is skinny as a rail--but super healthy looking, she's built like this:
She came over today and said "Mother I have something for you" and offered me this really gorgeous camel colored trench coat. She said she wanted me to have it, because she hardly wears it. I tried it on, and it way way too small, BUT for her to think I could FIT IT and offer it to me was amazing. I told her to keep it, because it looks really cute on her and for her to wear it in the fall, because it's super cute. SHE THOUGHT I COULD FIT THIS TEENY TINY JACKET/COAT It was a size xs Super NSV.17 -
Okay moving on from my recent success of rescuing my DH’s car from a locked car park by sliding under a gate (8in gap), DH thought of a new way to utilise my smaller size (lost 100lbs).
Yesterday I spent the afternoon re-felting the shed roof! The leaking shed with potentially rotten planks as I’m the lightest and least risk of going through them! I was not best pleased and don’t like heights but I did it (and didn’t fall in). I spent 5 hours face down in star shaped (weight spread for safety) plank position, crawling inch by inch over the shed roof taking out nails and hammering in new ones once felt in position. And I’m dead proud of the result. But today boy do I ache, I can feel an 8 pack (abs) throbbing, albeit a bit hidden still. Definitely used muscles I didn’t know I had! There is no way the roof would have taken my weight before and i would have never have pushed myself to face my fears (heights) or challenges (never felted a roof) before. The NSV come in the strangest of places.32 -
I completed my first Spartan Sprint on Saturday. A bit sore today but with no big injuries I'm super excited and want to train for another one.19

Just replaced all of my clothes again for probably the third time.
Started at size 54-56 pants and 4XL shirts and I'm now wearing size 40-42 pants and XL shirts.35 -
size 16 jeans are officially too big for me! I am going to wait until fall to buy new clothes, but I was so sad and so happy to try on a really cute pair of jeans that were too big19

Spent 4 days on the river, drinking too much and getting too much sun, so this Monday morning going to the gym was the last thing I wanted to do....But hubby & I got our silly, old *kitten* out of bed at 5 and went to the gym where I proceeded to do my normal Monday workout, squats, lunges, step-ups, crunches and elliptical for some cardio.22

Wearing white skinny jeans today. I can’t ever remember wearing white pants since, well, forever, much less white skinny jeans.

Might be a odd one. But re-losing some maintaince rebound weight without getting obsessive! No doubt that I consider watching my calories/nutrtion a hobby, But I usually take it to a extreme and obsess over the details. This time I'm actaully trusting the process and not worrying about having some cookies or chocolate or the day where I went over by accident. It's all fine I'll be within maintaince again soon, no need to fret.14

I don't really consider this a NSV per se, but kind of. I bought a mainstream (almost) sized bra, off the shelf, in a "regular" store (Target).
I bought a 32DDD bra, off the shelf, in Target. I haven't bought an off the shelf bra since before I had kids. Granted they don't usually carry 32DDD (or 32DD for that matter) in-store, but they have a ton of bras for an affordable $9.99-$21.99 on Target.com in a 32DDD....I'm so over paying $65+ for bras!
I'm not sure this is weight loss related, more muscle related. If I just lost weight I'd probably still be buying 28 band bras online. Beefing up my back muscles has allowed me to get back into "mainstream" sizes (kind of).11 -

This is definitely a big deal! I wear a 34G (UK sizing because it's impossible to find a bra in the US that fits me) and I have had to order bras online for so long now that I can't remember what it's like to buy a bra off the shelf...and there was a time I was trying to buy off the shelf and I was definitely in the wrong size.4 -
I don't know if this is an NSV per se, but... I actually like getting dressed now. For the longest time, I wore the same shirts and jeans over and over again until they would literally fall apart. I had to be pushed and pulled to get clothing even when I knew I had to because stuff was falling apart.
Going clothes shopping ended in tears. I would eye the mannequins and wish that could be me. I was envious of people who could dress better than me. This was before plus-sized fashion really took off -- and while it has a long way to go, I feel like it's come a lot farther than it was when I was terrified of stores. Of dressing rooms. Of not finding things that looked good.
I guess the NSV is mental: I do enjoy clothing shopping now. I enjoy finding cute things to wear. I enjoy that I can fit into most things, but the biggest NSV for me is learning what is right for my body, my shape. I used to think that all clothing should fit, but it doesn't.
The biggest take away I am working on owning is that it's okay to not fit a mold. That not all things will look okay. That not all things are as lovely on the body (for anyone, even) as they are on the hangers. That it's okay to enjoy clothing shopping and it feels good to be able to find things that look and feel good.
Also, I bought almost no dark colors this last trip (birthday money!!), which is a first for me. I feel like I have to hide behind dark colors, and so I'm working on breaking out of that.
The dragons I'm slaying now aren't size related (though I still think it must be a trick to be fitting into XS tops and bottoms as I don't think I'm anywhere near an extra small person), but feels related. Anxiety drives me more than I want to admit, especially around confidence in my body, in my clothing, in my space in this world.
So my NSV, condensed into TL;DR is this: I may not have won the war (yet), but not only did I not have one episode of bad feels yesterday in the dressing room (even when things didn't work), but I also felt confident enough to pick bright colors.
To say, "Yes, world. I exist."25 -
Wearing a swimsuit that I bought at a regular department store for the first time in 10+ years. And it fits. 😅18

I could fasten my coat and it wasn’t too tight, in fact it was a bit loose!!17

I recently was offered and accepted a job that I’m really excited about! In the interview when I asked him what attributes he was looking for in the person he was going to be hiring he said dedication. That’s when I got real with him. I could have spouted nonsense about how I always show up to work early and I’ve always had great relationships with coworkers. But instead I went personal and I told him “look, I’m going to get real and personal... you want someone who’s dedicated? Over the past 3.5 years I lost 130+ lbs and maintained that for quite some time now. I’m in the gym lifting multiple times a week. I’m running in 10k’s. I wake up every morning and make the choice to live a healthy life. I do it for my wife and daughter. You want dedicated? I can’t tell you anything else that will prove my dedication to a cause more than that. I believe who we are in our personal lives reflects a lot of who we are at work. And that’s the kind of person I’ve worked hard to become.” (Then I did a little internal mic drop).54

Wow I know you are proud and you look younger also!2 -
I recently started working at a retail store, the first time I've ever done that! (Been in media/ad agencies since I graduated college). Even though I'm up from my lowest weight, I still feel confident when helping customers in the shop, and don't hesitate to refer to my own size (AU 10-12 = around a US 6-8). I don't have any reservations telling people anymore! I never would have told anyone my size when I was a US 16. I was so ashamed, and now I don't care. Usually it comes up like "Yeah the sweaters can run a bit big, I'm usually a 10-12 and I grab an 8 in that one."
I do still want to lose about 10lbs, but it's funny how much my mindset and comfort in my own skin has improved.15 -
My NSV is that I recently found this dress for $3.99 and it is a size MEDIUM (at my heaviest, about 15 years ago, I was an 18W.) I can't wait to actually wear it outside of the house!
After ups and downs over the years, with a closet that used to be filled with multiple sizes, I understand that every day is a new start. When I struggle with food or exercise I just remind myself to keep going because I've got goals to reach! I've stumbled. I've even fallen completely off the wagon more than a few times, but I've never given up on my desire to be healthier.
Keep going, you are worth it!

My NSV is when I just had a minor surgical procedure and the surgeon said, "You should recover quick because you are slim and fit." I think I like being described as "slim and fit".27

I've endured nearly 5 months of not being allowed to run.
Today I got the excellent news that I have permission to run now...short distances to start (which I did this morning) but hopefully training for another half marathon when the weather turns around!
I'm proud of myself for sticking to the doctor's orders.22 -
completed my first sprint triathlon (0.25mi swim, 12.1mi bike, 2mi run) sunday. i hear they're addictive.15

Sitting cross legged without realizing it, and comfortably sitting too!13

At our gym, there is a sauna with an upper deck. No step-ladder or anything, so if you want to get to the upper bench, you have to climb.
For the first time ever in my life, I did it. I climbed up there.19 -
This is vain, but my neck has been real “cordy” gaunt and wrinkled. It’s really been bothering me, but I figured small price to pay, right?
Realized this morning it has smoothed out.
Yippee!!!!!!12 -
Had these size 4 pants hanging in closet for 9 years and they now fit😍 (down from a size 22)😉
387 days keto💪29 -
I got myself a new hair cut and the amount of weightloss related compliments were amazing... A slightly new look must make the weightloss and other changes more obvious?13
