Not creating a dam in the bath when I sit in it...the water is starting to flow around the gap my former fat *kitten* filled18

After going from 296 to 204 I can cross my legs which hasn't been something I've been able to do in a very long time, as I'm very short, 5'3" with a very short inseam, literally 2 feet of leg.9

I was able to carry my 42-lb kid piggy-back all afternoon while on vacation! Being able to do that (and keeping her from whining that she's tired of walking) made for a very enjoyable day for everyone.15

When I was starting out my diet I considered trying to follow along with a Tai Chi video for exercise, but had found it too difficult.Today I decided to give it another shot and while I wasn't graceful, I made it though the entire ten minute video.
I know it doesn't sound like much, but I couldn't even stand for 10 mins in January, let alone do any other movements with it. It is small but it is a victory to me.28 -
Went in for an annual health check this week. The nurse checked and rechecked my heart rate several times and said, well it seems like a low number, maybe my tester is wrong. When the Dr. was checking my heart he said, you have a really low heart rate. EKG was done and when the Dr. showed it to me he said "Perfect. You have the heart of an athlete. Heart rate is 45." 50 pounds lost and 25 miles of running each week has paid off.27

I am officially NO LONGER OBESE! Also my ring size went from a size 7 to a 5.527

I'm sure! I buy simple rings from a friend of mine who makes them custom size for me. She uses gold fill and sterling silver so it's not expensive4 -
I logged for the first time in two months. Back on the wagon again35

My 7 yo ninja warrior fanatic was flexing for us last night and was really pleased he has visible biceps and some solid definition (when you’re 58lbs and spend an hour or so a day climbing and doing chin-ups, I guess that’s what happens 😆), then we applauded my 5yo’s (slightly smaller, but still visible biceps, ditto the workout plan). I asked them what about mom and flexed for them, and got a “wow, mom! You could totally do ninja warrior!” Doubt that, but nice to know my boys think I’m strong and want to be strong themselves 😊21

@SoaringOccamy It sounds like a lot to me. Don't sell yourself short. Every little thing you do that improves your health should be seen as a victory. Be proud of yourself because you tried again, you didn't have to you know. And on a few hundred other days you didn't but this time you did and you surprised yourself. Part of this journey for me has been the surprises. I'm surprised I can do things that I once thought - people who do that are crazy or have some special thing in them that "lets" them do it, that makes it "easy" for them. The only thing they have that I didn't was a desire to see if they could. Sounds corny... but I think it's true. Keep going and good luck.10

I came out of two weeks vacation the same weight I went in!29

Talked to my doctor at my annual physical. Cholesterol numbers are good. A1C has crept up a bit from 5.3 to 5.7 in the past year. But I’m still calling this as a NSV because of the conversation with my doctor.
Me: What can I do about my A1C?
Doctor: Have you lost weight? Are you eating a balanced diet? Are you exercising?
Me:Yes to all three.
Doctor: Good for you! You’re doing everything you should be doing. Keep it up.
Message/lesson for myself: Stop worrying and just stay the course.24 -
My clothes are fitting better! Specifically, my shirts.
As awesome as the above NSV is I’m also in search of a more concrete way to document success. Clothes fitting better is GOOD but some days I can wonder “but are they really fitting better?? I measured myself today and I was able to mentally handle measuring my abdomen in its fully relaxed state. That’s a huge mental WIN for me. In years past I would measure my belly in a slightly relaxed, slightly engaged state just to buffer the “true number.”18 -
Had annual visits with endocrinologist and GP this week. Got thumbs up from both. Bloodwork was excellent. Still no need for insulin. Fasting glucose great.
I'm very happy.29 -
My NSV this week may sound weird but we have a small riding mower that barely fits through the front gate. For that reason we push mow the front yard and use the riding mower for the back. Today because of the heat and almost fainting, I decided to finish mowing with the riding mower. Usually I would have to have my husband lift the back end (to straighten it to fit through the gate). Today I was able to lift the back end quite easily and push it the rest of the way through the gate.23

Wow, that's a lot of running. Congrats on the good bill of health.2 -
I'm buying my own clothes finally with my own hard earned money, and it's nice. It's nice wearing things you like. It's even nicer when the size has gone from 5x down to 1x. It'll be even nicer when it says L40

Congratulations on both successes. You have accomplished so much. No doubt you will accomplish the rest.3 -
Overheard yesterday at a Charity Fundraiser...
“Look mummy, that girl is dressed like Black Widow!”
Me: over 50, in a red wig and a jumpsuit I couldn’t have worn at 30.... big grin16 -
Changed my post because I literally posted a scale victory. Great reading comprehension Meg!
I'm smaller than I've been in 10 years!16 -
I biked 17.22 miles today...and didn't die.25

At my largest, I was pushing a size 24. Today I bought size 10 shorts! I almost started crying in the fitting room.48

I'm 29 and this summer I started wearing a bikini for the first time in my life 😁39

I sew, so I take my measurements to make sure I have the right size pattern cut out. Welp, my bust has been in the 18-20 range (102-107cm), but this morning I've measured 96 cm with a bra, and 94 without one!
Now I'm officially between sizes 14-16, depending on the finished garment measurement. Note that sewing patterns aren't the same size as RTW garments, but they do fit like a glove when you get them right.19 -
Bought my smallest pants I can ever remember wearing as an adult. Size 28s! Needed to stop wearing 34” shorts 😂22

Ran a 15k yesterday, then came home and packed for a few hours for our move to a new house! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️15

This might sound weird.
I can get out of the recliner using just my legs, without using my hands to push off the armrests. 😓29 -
I finally decided to try on dresses smaller then a size 12. My top half is larger then my bottom half. And so even though I have lost so much weight I still fear dresses. Well these two are a size 6 and an 8. Amazing. They zipped up and everything.41
