69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

I feel your pain Stella. I was stuck in the 230s for about 6 yrs before joining MFP. It felt like a vortex to me but through the grace of God I finally broke through. What did it for me was to be a little uncomfortable and let some habits go, whether it was food or lifestyle. Hope this helps. Praying for ya.3 -

Notes : Good Morning everyone. ☀️ back to my running this morning completing C25K week 4 day 2. Not getting on the stepper this morning but will do my all to do it tonight after my evening walk. Yesterday’s appointment went great, the surgeon has cleared me for all workouts and as soon as my wound is fully healed (another week or so) I can take my kids to the pool!!
Today is another day of appointments, I see my gastric surgeon for my 2 year follow up. I hope he is happy with my results up until now and I’m excited to tell him where I am with skin removal. Then this evening it’s my boys appointment with the orthodontist. Fun times.
Last nights dinner was high sodium 🧂 so I suspect that’s why I had this 1lb gain this morning. I swear sausages do it every time. So today lots of water to drain this crap out and sticking to lean meats and veggies! Have a wonderful day everyone. ❤️💪🏻5 -

I tried hard to stay within my calorie intake goals this past weekend. Now, our local gym is having a cardio challenge so we are trying to go to the gym everyday (from July 7 to July 31).
We changed our workout time from 9pm to 5:30am. I'm curious as to how this will reflect on my weight. At the same time, I'm working on getting 7 hrs of sleep by going to bed at 9pm. So far, I've been able to be asleep by 10pm so it's a work in progress.

Notes : Good Morning everyone. ☀️ For once I finally got more than 6 hours sleep in a night. Unfortunately because I “slept in” (woke up at 7h30), I didn’t have time to go out for my early workout. I have to get ready now for my first appointment of the day. I’m trying to get my youngest Into some summer activities to keep him active. Fingers crossed they still have some spots left.
I will hopefully get some form of workout done this evening. Weight has gone a bit back down after those sausages. Yesterday’s meals were lean beef burger with side salad for lunch and fish fillets on the grill with grilled veggies. Lots of water which I have to continue today to continue flushing out that sodium. Time to get my day started. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone . ❤️💪🏻6 -

Notes : Good morning everyone. Up early to complete C25K week 4 day 3. Next week I’m up to week 5 and I’m a bit worried about day 3 as it’s a full 20 minute jog without stopping I’ve done it before so I know I can do it but I might very well die while trying lol.
Yesterday was a bust with workouts and I over indulged a bit with food. Hubby made a roast chicken and potatoes in the bbq and I prepared a head of cauliflower smothered in Indian spices with Greek yoghurt (also made in the grill) and needless to say I may have over eaten quite a bit lol. The combination of the 2 may be the reason for today’s little spike.
Looks like another day of lots of water and I will attempt clean protein and lots of veg. ❤️💪🏻6 -

Thoughts: Sigh. Back to 7/1. I'm on the back side of a spike, it was higher midweek. The good news is the trend number continues to drop. Lots of factors here. I DO this. I spike up before a drop, I get it. Doesn't make it any less frustrating. Higher sodium combined with slacking off on water intake this week is not helping. Boss on leave + I'm in charge = stuck at desk all week. I hit 40 hours at noon yesterday. They don't pay me enough for this. I'm tired and cranky. I've grumbled so much this week the dog keeps hiding behind my husband's chair - poor thing thinks I'm mad at him. Afternoon can't come soon enough - I need this weekend badly.

OMG! I lost 1 lb in a week. It's amazing seeing as how I'm averaging 6 hours of sleep. We took a rest day from the gym yesterday but I took a 30 min walk during lunch and another 30 min walk after dinner. It paid off. I just may lose 3 lbs this month. Keep up the good vibes this weekend everyone.
