These challenges seem to go by so quick sometimes. This round ends on a Sunday so I am going to do my best to be good that weekend. My only goal this round is to see a 144.xx and to get to into a “healthy” BMI range. We will see if I can do it, the last round I pretty much just maintained and didn’t ever see that new low I was looking for. So I am ready this round for it!
Round 80: 148.7 - 148.0 (10 day Avg 147.22)
Round 81: 148.0 - 146.5 (10 day Avg 147.87)
Round 82: 146.5 - 146.3 (10 day Avg 146.93)
07/12 - 144.6 A NEW LOW!!!!! I can't believe I hit my goal for this round already. 1.3 pound loss from last week. 1.6 more pounds and I will be out of the over weight category and I will be at the tip top of my maintenance. I will also officially be in the last 5 pounds of my journey. I have stayed strong this whole week and was expecting a loss, but I usually lose a half a pound at a time, so if I see an uptick tomorrow I would not be surprised or mad. It's a nice way to go into the weekend and hopefully keep me on track.
07/13 - 144.6 same so I’ll take it and run! Starting the weekend out stressful and busy. My oldest had to move back in with us last night. His living situation did not work out. His little heart is broken and my heart hurts for him. That first breakup is just horrible and I can remember mine like yesterday. He will be ok, but having a kid move back in after being out for a year and half is rough. Plus he is an adult now and in a completely different place than where he was at 18 when he moved out. Have lots to do to help him and get organized, so will be busy and eating on the run probably a lot this weekend. I’m going to try and stay on track and have a really strong weigh in on Monday.
07/14 - 146.8 didn't have time to check in but did weigh
07/15 - 150.5 Extremely busy and stressful weekend. My husband's company party was yesterday (last thing I wanted to deal with), but we went. We walked the zoo for hours in 100 degree weather and I only ate one meal. Saturday and Sunday my sodium and carbs levels were doubled what I usually eat and I haven't slept well in 2 nights. Last night was another horrible, restless night. I just couldn't get comfortable or turn my brain off. Calories were good, about 100-150 over each day, so I know this weight will fall off in a day or 2. I just get so frustrated that my body can gain 5.9 pounds in 48 hours. Going to move my son out of his condo tonight and put everything into storage, but hopefully will be able to sleep better once that is done. He needs to put closure on that situation and move on. On top of everything else happening, we are having new windows installed in the entire house today and tomorrow. So we spent the morning getting ready and moving furniture for that. Hopefully I will be down tomorrow. I am drinking plenty of water today and have my day planned for food.
07/16 - 148.2 coming back down. Slept really well last night and got my son all moved out of his condo yesterday. We are just getting him organized and adjusted back to living at home with rules, lol. Good day yesterday so happy I am moving back in the right direction. 2.3 pounds down and 3.6 to go to get back to the start of the round. We ate Taco Bell last night for dinner, because it was already super late, but I ate off the fresco menu and stayed way under calories for the day. We will see what tomorrow holds for my weight!
07/17 - 148.7 I have no idea why I'm still up, lol. I really expected to be down a couple more pounds today. I'm sleeping better and have not gone over my calories at all. Drinking plenty of water and had very little carbs the last couple of days. I am just starting to think this is one of those weeks that can't be explained. I'm doing everything right, so that's all I can tell myself. Two months ago I would have been thrilled to be here, my original maintenance weight was 145-150. I changed it last month to 140-145. So losing another 5 pounds was my brilliant idea, lol.
07/18 - 147.3 inching my way back down still. Did well yesterday and stayed under calories. I am hoping in the next 3 days to get back to 145.xx or 144.xx and end the round on a positive. Still don't know why I took this spike up, but it is what it is. I know I just have to stay on track and 1 of these days I will just drop again and be back to normal until my next spike that can't be explained. Lmao!
07/19 - 145.3 and there it is that random drop that I have been waiting for. Whatever it was is gone now and I'm back down almost to my starting weight. Staying the course and hoping for 2 more great weigh-ins. I doubt I will get another new low in this round, but I will be happy if I end up anywhere in this area.
07/20 - 145.3 walking the mall, grocery shopping, school supply shopping, cleaning the house, laundry, and doing some spring cleaning in my daughters room is what’s on the calendar for today. Should burn a lot of calories with all of that activity and hopefully I can stay on track food wise to end well this round. Anything below 146, hoping I am back down to 144. We will see, 1 more day of this round!

I’m in. I’m a newbie at this and sounds fun. I’m somewhere between 5’2 and 5’3. I am hypothyroid, which has made weight loss challenging at times. I have IBS and gallbladder, which prevents me from eating too much fat without paying a steep toll.
HW: 230
SWMFP: 220
CW: 132
GW: 115-120
Day/Weight/Comment
07/12 132 worked hard doing my strength training definitely feeling it in my calves. Happily starting to see muscle development.
07/13 130: very sore. Did a lot of stretching for my sore muscles.
07/14 128.5 walked all day at my city’s cornucopia/fair. Logged over 10,000 steps. Tired; deciding whether to do the rest of my exercises.
07/15 127.8: So bloated and crampy today; thanks period😒. Still sore, so lots of stretching today and a quick aerobics workout. Feeling ultimately great about my weight loss, but my hanging, seemingly unshrinkable stomach apron is getting me down. Maybe it’s from emotions stemming from PMS, but I spent a chunk of time today searching about tummy tucks.
07/16 127.2. Surprised I lost weight today, usually my weight is up when I’m pmsing. Had a good workout today. Used my waist trainer, which really helps with bloating and cramps. Forced food down for energy. Anyone else have little to no appetite when they have pms? Going to go on a walk to wind down the day.
07/17 128.5lbs. Not surprised my weight is bumped up; still very bloated. Got good news from my doctor today. All my tests are normal and my thyroid levels are well into the normal range for the first time in years!!
Walked for hours today had so much to do, so decided to walk everywhere. Love the endorphins I get from exercising, but not the soreness.
Treated myself to a skinny macchiato from starbucks and now putting my feet after my long day.
07/18 127.2lbs. Got in a mix of workouts. I started with some aerobics than strength training and flowed into yoga for recovery. I wasn’t sure if I was going to exercise today had a health scare last night that had me in the er for hours. I feel good, I love how relaxing yoga 🧘♀️ is.
07/19 127lbs. NSV: I was able to deadlift 150 pounds today. When I first started my weight loss journey almost five years ago, I was dead lifting almost 200 pounds. I went into maintenance feeling strong and healthy. Than life got in the way, as it often does, and exercise went to the wayside. A year ago, I found I put back on almost 20 pounds (darn addicting prime rib sandwiches at metropolitan market) and I slowly started getting it off and exercising again. Gosh, I forgot how much I loved it! Now, I weigh less than I did when I went into maintenance and I’m feeling strong 💪 again.
07/20 126.5lbs. Took a walk with my son to enjoy some sunshine. Seattle weather is unpredictable and I enjoyed the rare show of the ☀️. I took it up a notch and did some step aerobics and ended with yoga. I relaxed with my food today and enjoyed some 🌮. Today was good.

Goals for this round:
1) Thoughtful food choices
2) Daily exercise
3) Good hydration
Day/Weight/Comment
07/12 190.6 – Up a bit. Starting this round with a long weekend away to visit my younger grandkids. On the road today, so options for meals and exercise were limited. At least I stayed hydrated.
07/13 DNW
07/14 DNW
07/15 191.6 – Lovely, relaxing weekend with my son and his family. Took a break from tracking, but now I’ve got some work to do. Unfortunately, I’ve been dragging today, so no walk. I stayed under my calorie allowance but had too much salt and not enough water. Hopefully a good night’s sleep will help me get back on track.
07/16 192.2 – Another bump. Well, at least I’ve learned that this is what too much salt (prepared or restaurant food) and not enough exercise or water does. Today was a bit better, but I’m still not back on track. On the up side, I had a lovely beach day, and I really enjoyed the pizza I had for lunch. It’s going to be a challenge to turn things around this week, but I’m not giving up yet.
07/17 190.4 – Well that’s a surprise, but I’m not getting too attached to this number. We’ll see where it is tomorrow. I had a lunch date with my sister and nieces to celebrate my god-daughter’s new job. My sister had chosen a lovely restaurant, and I really wanted to relax and enjoy the day with them. So after a few minutes of anxiously scanning the menu for lower-calorie options, I reminded myself that I could choose what I wanted and make other trade-offs. I skipped the appetizer and ordered lobster risotto and unsweetened iced tea, then had a single scoop of amaretto ice cream at my favorite ice cream place. It felt indulgent and celebratory!
07/18 190.4 – Okay, so it looks like I’m back to where I was at the end of last round. This one’s been really challenging so far, with heat advisories and thunderstorms limiting outdoor activity, as well as fewer opportunities to prepare my own meals. But that’s summer! And the challenges are giving me some opportunities to test what I’ve been learning through these discussion boards. Managed a walk today before the thunderstorms rolled in again, so I met all my goals. Now to keep on track – the 180’s are so close!
07/19 189.8 – Woo hoo! First peek at the 180’s feels great! It’s also only 20 pounds away from my end-of-year goal of 169.8 (based on averaging a pound a week weight loss for 10 months). I’m 4 ½ months in with 5 ½ months to go, and I’m happy to see I’ve got a little cushion to help me get past the holidays or to offset slower weight loss in the future. Excessive heat warnings for these last 3 days of the challenge, so I’ll be working to stay on track while I stay cool. Hydration, hydration, hydration!
07/20 189.2 – Nice! The boys are getting good at pool volleyball, so I got a nice workout chasing the ball in the deep end yesterday. In the evening, we took them seining in the bay and then went for a long nature walk along the shore. Such a pleasant way to meet my exercise goal! Friends rescheduled today’s BBQ because of the heat, so my husband and I enjoyed a rare quiet summer day. Too hot to cook, so dinner was basically an extended cocktail hour – cheese and crackers, a few slices of chorizo, fruit, cold shrimp, and a couple of whiskey sours. Not the most balanced meal, but perfect for a lazy day. Kept close to my calorie limit, so we’ll see what the scale says tomorrow.

Ready for my round 20
OSW 88KG
RSW 66. 5kg (-21.5 kg) or {- 47. 4lbs}
Goal... Less than I started
07/12 65.8kg probably a false low as a only had a tiny dinner last night but I don't care! Last day of work today for 6 or so weeks so I will be at a party but I'm now good at keeping it keto.
Just realised I've lost over 25% of my original start weight!!
07/13 65.9kg with a tiny blip up which is not a problem. I ate more yesterday but stayed under calories.
07/14 65.2kg on official weigh in day is great! And it's holiday time. I'm leaving on Wednesday for a 5 week break to our lake house. This is when I used to have crazy gains and just eat and drink. We went over Easter break and I managed to lose. I'm happy if I just maintain this visit.
07/15 65.6kg not a big surprise as I didn't have a big calorie deficit this weekend. Back on it today
07/16 66.0kg...the weekend bites back! I'm back to a deficit now and it will come off. Leaving on lake holiday tomorrow but it should be fine as its our own place so we aren't eating out the whole time. It's way too hot and hilly for running but I will swim a lot and do pilates or strength training every day. Maintenance is ok as its a holiday but I'll try to lose and I will not gain. NSV... I'm packing my bikini for the 1st time in 10 years.
07/17 65.8kg in the right direction. I reread my goals, my NSV and past round last night for motivation. Stopping at an Airbnb for 2 nights to meet up with friends and I'm not going to have drinks despite a sundowners catamaran cruise!
07/18 DNW for the 1st time since 6th January! Ate salads yesterday and drank water on the boat so hopefully no nasty shock on Saturday when I can next weigh.
07/19 DNW but eating as good as it can be with eating out. Travelling today. Tomorrow I start IF and pilates plan. And I get to weigh again.
07/20 65.1 kg so close to 65 kg which is one of my mini goals. At the lake house enjoying my first IF - not sure how it will go but its an experiment. Waking up to herbal tea instead of coffee. Going to try some pilates later.
07/2165.5kg damn! Still down for the round but but not at my lowest. I'm on holiday so that's ok

Sun 14/07: 164.2: Goals: Meh!!!
Mon 15/07: 166.2: Goals: There are no excuses.I 😈Goals: ✅ Later: Noticed I had the wrong date for my post this morning, so I’ve fixed it. Hopefully back on track.
choose instant gratification over sensible eating at a family buffet yesterday. I haven't done that for some time. It did not go unpunished. My new healthy body rebelled big time. I spent an wretched evening feeling bloated and uncomfortable, with an extra big a big kick up the a** when I stepped on the scale this morning. Now, I know I haven't put on 2lbs of weight overnight, (though I may well have with the food I ate), and a lot of it is probably be water weight. But enough is enough, and too much is just plain daft. We all do daft things from time to time. The trick is to put it behind you and move on. I am choosing to have a few reset days of light eating to see if I can redress my blowout yesterday. Though if the truth be told, I have been sliding most of the week. I know this is only a blip. Nothing gets in my way when I'm on a mission.
Tue 16/07: 164.0: Goals: ✅😁 Sticking close to my goals has paid off. It must have been water weight!
Wed 17/07: 164.2: Goals: ✅ Normal fluctuation. Still keeping strong.
Thu 18/07: 163.9: Goals: ✅normal fluctuations.
Fri 19/07: 164.1: Goals: ✅Normal fluctuations!
Sat 20/07: 163.8: Goals ✅
With muscle %age improving, I'm happy that the scale is not increasing. I have no scale this week as I am on holiday, so I will give Round 84 a miss. Will be back with you for Round 85.
Previous Round:Tue 02/07: 162.4: Goals: ✅Just trying to hold it steady.Daily Goals
Wed 03/07: 162.5: Goals: ✅
Thu 04/07: 162.5: Goals: ✅Had a busy day being foster mum to my daughter's 2 fur babies. Jack is very used to being with us, and is no trouble. Sydney is fairly new, and very nervous, and we haven't really got to know him until this week. DH is the doggie person in our house, but Sydney won't go near him, so I'm it! Worse than having a toddler in the house.
Fri 05/07: 162.5: Goals: ✅ Lots of walking and gardening today.
Sat 06/07: 162.5: Goals: ✅ Lots of garden work done today. Perfect weather with a bit of a breeze to take the edge off the heat.
Sun 07/07: 162.6: Goals: ✅ Normal fluctuation.
Mon 08/07: 162.5: Goals: ✅ Another plateau. 😏
Tue 09/07: 163.6: Goals: ✅ Drat! The weekend caught up with me!
Wed 10/07: 163.4: Goals: ✅ *sigh* Keeping on keeping on!
Thu 11/07: 163.6: Goals: ✅ I was quite disappointed with this result until I noticed my muscle %age has increased since last week. I have been working hard on lower body strength for a couple of weeks. Also yesterday, DH asked me if I had lost weight again. It just goes to show that Progress isn't always about the scale dropping. Looking forward to the next round, and making more progress! 😂Food

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Hey, I'm one day late but I'm in, again with my 238734786th attempt... I feel motivated I hope it'll become my lifestyle 'cause I'm really bored of being obese. I cannot be self-confident with my body anymore.
RSW: 92.2 kg (203.2 lbs)
RGW: 90 kg (198.4 lbs)
07/12
07/13 92.2 kg (203.2 lbs)
07/14 91.2 kg (201 lbs)
Yesterday in the morning I was motivated but through the day my motivation decreased. I took too much sugar but total calorie was kinda ok (1600 cal). In the night I went out with my friends, we were kinda depressed and drink one beer. I'm happy that today I'm much less than yesterday, probably it's about not binging.
07/15 90.6 kg (199.7 lbs)
Yesterday, I was at home all day. That helped me to diet appropriately. I ate enough, as I planned. I revised my diet according to the day before when I felt hungry. It worked well. I think I lost some binging and water weight, otherwise, it doesn't make sense. And also today it's my period, it also may be about that. I don't know still happy to see fewer kgs. I hope it'll continue.
07/16 90.4 kg (199.2 lbs)
Ok, this makes sense, I'll take it. Yesterday, I was all good even I went out but stayed in calorie limit and walked a little (around 4000-5000 steps).
07/17 90.5 kg (199.5 lbs)
Not a surprise... I felt really depressed yesterday, then I ate a big brownie cheesecake. It was good, I cannot lie I enjoyed. However, I stayed in the calorie limit and walked 11k steps. I'll continue, no problem. It's a long journey.
07/18 -
07/19 90.8 kg (200.1 lbs)
Ok, I lost some motivation. I feel depressed and stressed these days, and it makes hard for me. Still, I don't eat a lot max I take 1500 cal. However, I cannot lose. I don't know.
07/20 90.8 kg (200.1 lbs)
Yesterday, I was depressed again, then in the evening, I drank two bottles of beer and a glass of wine. And I stopped counting my calories, but still, I kinda control my calorie intake. I'm not giving it up but it's hard for now.
07/21 90.8 kg (200.1 lbs)
I drank alcohol last night, again and took many calories. I hope I'll get back in discipline next 10 days.9 -
You don't say why you're so depressed, sometimes it helps to share - can almost feel as if you're offloading some of the stress and depression. I was very depressed due to my weight when I started on this particular stage of my weight losing journey some years ago - I had been very overweight all my life (not just as an adult), I made the decision that to beat my depression I needed to lose the excess weight once and for all and this was the motivation that carried me through.
If you need to off load there are plenty of us here that can empathise/sympathise and will support as much as we can. If you feel that you need to keep it to yourself then we respect that too. Sending you a big comforting hug hang on in there my friend x.
Oh, thank you, you're so kind and nice. Actually, I've been always depressed, I've taken help with meds and therapy for years. I've been getting better through the years but sometimes I cannot deal with it and do emotional/stress eating. These days I'm really stressed because of my master's thesis. I'm finishing it, I need to do some edits, but I often lost my self-confidence. And also I'm single, dating around but cannot find anyone and it makes me sad. And also, mostly I'm really confident about myself but sometimes I think that people don't attract me because I'm not thin enough. I really need some love, I know everyone feels like that... So feeling lonely and stress about thesis make me eat and drink more.

Day/Weight/Comment
7/12 143, not too bad for being lower than usual on water and not working out as much as I normally do (in the middle of my TOM). Hoping to get my energy to today for 70 minutes on the elliptical.
7/13 142.8, going to the museum with a friend and then a yoga class later in the afternoon. Food is all prepped, so just hope to drink enough water throughout the day and keep to the plan .
7/14 141.2, today’s my last day of my cycle so a lot of the weight drop can be attributed to that, but still great to be almost in the 130s and at my round goal. One small victory is that I noticed that I’m under my license weight of 145. I put that number when I was in the 160s because I was too ashamed to put my real weight.
7/15 141.6, this is the second month that I recorded my TOM weight. I normally just track, but don’t actually look at the trends on what happens. Last month, I stalled for two weeks after so hopefully that won’t happen again. But if it does, I can prepare more next month. I won’t be making any radical changes to my diet or exercise this week to really see what my body does.
7/16 140.6, really don’t understand the weight loss today, but I’ll take it! Going to a baseball game with a friend and going to have a hot dog and a beer (will make sure in calories, but life is too short to not enjoy some days!)
7/17 140.8, took a barre class yesterday and really enjoyed it. I need to be more consistent since once a week isn’t cutting it. Planning to go Friday and Saturday as well. I think the closer I get to my goal, the faster I want it to go! Getting a bit impatient, but can’t forget the one day at a time plan.
7/18 140.0, don’t quite understand the sudden loss this week, but not mad at all! I am prepared for some of this weight to come back to since seems very rapid
7/19 141.5, woke up with a migraine yesterday and only ate one large meal (went to local taqueria and had a retried bean and cheese burrito with rice and sour cream, chips and guacamole) . I know that wasn’t much more than my 1200 calories allotted, or at least not enough over maintenance to elicit that much of a gain so I think a lot of it is sodium. Will drink a lot of water today and go to the gym for an hour now that I feel better. Still under my round goal but hope to be closer to 140.x by Sunday.
7/20 140.8, have work to do this weekend, but planning to go to a movie today and church tomorrow so hopefully steps will be up. Food should be good to end the round and start next not eating out til Monday.
7/21 140.8, very happy to end the round at this number especially on a weekend. On to the next one!

I know I checked in yesterday, but my post seems to have disappeared. Oh well. We’re going to an art fair this afternoon — part of the city-wide festival that runs from yesterday through next weekend. Looking forward to it! Have a lovely weekend, all!

DH told me last night “you have a lot of muscle.” I’m still smiling! Have a beautiful Sunday, all!
7/15 - 160
Yesterday afternoon I went hiking at one of our beautiful county parks. It was hot, but they have fields of native prairie wildflowers, and deep fragrant forest with one of Indiana's designated Scenic Waterways running through. And I came face to face with a doe on the trail.
7/16 - 160
I appear to be stuck, but it's ok, I've been eating happily -- hungry with the work/fun of putting in a new garden. Today is mulching day if the rain holds off. If it doesn't, that's ok, too, as we really need it and I could do some laundry. I thought I'd add a happy pic I took yesterday -- the view from my office window. When we moved in, there were huge clumps of pampas grass blocking this & the bedroom window. Here's the redo as it currently stands.
7/17 - 161
Well, crap. That's not what I had in mind!

My body has definitely found a friend. Hmm. OTOH, as I said earlier, I'm healthy (which I wasn't this time last year) and happily laboring to make my yard and house my/our home, so I'm not going to let a few pounds weight me down (sorry, I couldn't help myself!). Speaking of which, here's a fabulous essay I read recently by Laura Lippman (whom some of you may know from her mysteries) about dieting and not, our bodies, our spirits, much more. https://longreads.com/2019/07/16/whole-60/?fbclid=IwAR2rOnQ6XLS2ve6NlXrD1GIJvxaihB-M3iSMNwb5tBBa9SqEPQ8Iy1iybVA

Okay then. I have a reception today for my art show, so I’ll eat but the rest of the week will be all healthful, all the time. Cooler weather, too, so I plan to do some hiking. Have a great day, all!

Away again this weekend to go and meet our newest grandson but a round clear of any other major social events or weekends away.
This round & R84 to go before my holiday so reason to stay focused as would love to hit the 133lb by then (which in the UK is a milestone as it equates to 9.5stone. Aiming to lose 1.4lb this round and finish at 135lb
Round Start Weight 136.4lb
07/12 - 136.6lb (+0.2lb) OK with this - not unexpected as Thursday night is home made burger night so carb heavier than normal with the bun. Weight is holding steady. No distractions on the horizon today and will weigh in early tomorrow morning before we head off up north for the weekend to meet our new grandson - back Sunday evening so only one night away of eating out and hotel breakfasts!
07/13 - 136.8lb (+0.2lb) Expected after carb heavier dinner last night. Need to try and stay focused over the weekend as we're away and only three weeks till our holiday!
07/14 - AWAY
07/15 - 136.5lb (-0.3lb) YAY!!!! Not often I can report a loss over a weekend let alone a weekend away. Away up north to meet our new grandson so ate out on Saturday night, made a sensible main course choice and avoided dessert (there was no cheese and biscuits on the menu anyway!). Had a full hotel breakfast buffet Sunday morning too but was then very full for the rest of the day so only had a light snack when we got home. Maybe I'm finally learning to listen to my body when its says actually I'm not that hungry! Onwards and downards towards my 135 finish .........
07/16 - 137.0lb (+0.5lb) OK with this as holding steady and I was really hungry last night so did have a pretty big dinner. Difficult day ahead food wise as have a friend over from Australia and we're meeting up tonight for a chinese and a few bottles of wine! Will stick to my normal food during the day and drink plenty of water and just try to not overdo it tonight - I know the scales will definitely be up tomorrow morning but still aiming to lose in this round overall. Have a good Tuesday
07/17 - 139.8lb (+2.8lb) As expected following our chinese take out and a couple of glasses of red. Didn't overeat at all but its just the whole take away food and salt excess that's making me feel awful today - which is why I personally never choose to have a take out! Plenty of water today and tomorrow and I'm sure this will drop back down in the next day or so
07/18 - 139.60lb (-0.2lb)
07/19 - 138.6lb (-1.0lb) Felt as rough as old boots since that Chinese on Tuesday Weight is slowly coming off and hope to see a bit more of a "whoosh" the next couple of days to at least get back to where I was as currently still 2lb up
07/20 - 135.5lb (-3.1lb) And there's the whoosh! Took 3 days but got there in the end plus an extra bit and I've been spot on this week other than that damn Chinese! Its amazing really how long one meal can affect your weight on the scales for...... Am at the cinema tonight but have every intention of staying on plan so I can finish this round on a low as only one more round before my holiday!!
07/21 - 134.9lb (-0.6lb) Cool!!! Round goal was to finish 135 so consider this target well and truly met! Controlled myself at the cinema last night and only had a few handfuls of popcorn and sweets too which is a win! On to round 84 with the aim of keeping this momentum going!12 -

Round 83 Goals:
- My son's birthday party is at the end of this round! Won't be denying myself birthday cake and other goodies, so I'm not expecting myself to lose at the end of this round. I'd like to hit a new low one day though!
- Keep wearing my HRM to the gym. It's a good motivator, especially in HIIT-style classes.
- Keep up 3 tumblers of water per work day. I usually just don't want to get up to refill my cup, so having this goal and marking it down in my planner every day has helped me to follow through here.
- Prep lunches and simple dinners so that birthday party prep (and this impending Tropical Storm) don't throw me completely off track.
Day/Weight/Comment
7/12 - 148.0
7/13 - DNW
7/14 - 148.8
7/15 - 151.0 Just checking in from the weekend, and I obviously need it! I was stuck at home Friday - Sunday because of the Tropical Storm, which turned out to be fine in my area. But it was a long weekend of snacking (out of a combo of boredom and stress), no calorie tracking, and very little movement. Back at work today and didn't meal plan or grocery shop for this week...I'll try to fit that in tomorrow, since I'm going back to the gym tonight.
7/16 - 149.6
7/17 - 148.8 Ok, had a few urgent work things taking up ALL my time the last few days, so it's been hard to find time to check in. But yay - we're going back down! I went to the gym on Monday night for a really good boxing session. We're just flying by the seat of our pants with no meal plan/prep this week, and using items in the freezer and the pantry to figure out dinner each night, but I've been making good choices and tracking that really well!
NSV: went shopping for some new shorts yesterday, and I was able to go down to a smaller size than I expected and I felt good in them!
7/18 - 147.8
7/19 - 145.4 **NEW LOW!!**
7/20 - 146.4
7/21 - 148.0 I maintained weight and saw a new low - goals accomplished! Pretty excited I was able to do that with a busy work week, no meal prep (but still tracking), and planning my 2 year old’s birthday party! We had so much fun at the party yesterday, but I’m glad that’s done with! On this topic, I had a couple of people that I haven’t seen in awhile mention that I’ve lost weight and ask what I’m doing, so that felt awesome. It’s finally to the point where others are noticing my changes. I haven’t been able to read up on everyone’s updates much this round, so hopefully I can go catch up or just try to do better next round, because I find them so encouraging!12 -

07/11 …..196.7….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
07/12 …..196.0 ….. [/color=redYesterday’s stats: 1546 Calories In / 2213 Calories Out. 49 Net Carbs. 7626 Total Steps & 3.23 Total Miles. 9/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I lost the first two hours when I overslept the night before! Last night I slept 4 hours & 33 minutes.
07/13 …..194.8 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1640 Calories In / 2444 Calories Out. 43 Net Carbs. 10,285 Total Steps & 4.35 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept a lousy 3 hours & 3 minutes & woke up tired today. I walked for 10 minutes at a moderate pace. I cleaned house & laundry for 90 minutes & I danced for 12 minutes. Sample song “”Miss You” by the Rolling Stones.
07/14 …..198.0 ….. I deserve this in body but not in soul. Binge last night after encountering a problem that I’ve not had before on this journey. While in bed watching TV I smelled a frozen pizza my son was heating in the oven. He eats later than me & normally I am satisfied at that hour & not tempted. Last night, however, a dark shadow overcame me & I was up & running for the kitchen. It turned on to a full-on binge undoing everything I’ve accomplished in the past week. So a new problem (will this happen again?) is turning into a new plan. BEDROOM DOOR SHUT in this very small house so the smells will not affect me. I will just have to get up & down as the cat wants out. I think my counts are pretty accurate as the foods I indulged in were mostly pre-packaged garbage. 2750 Calories In / 2410 Calories Out. 208 Net Carbs. 10,376 Total Steps & 4.39 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 4 minutes. I Took a 13 minute walk (I can’t stray too far from my office when the cabins & rooms are filled for the weekend) & did 45 minutes of yardwork & transplanting
07/15 …..195.8 ….. A nice drop back down, but still a pound up before the pizza. However, I know I am the sum of ALL my parts, not just the weak ones![/fuchsia] Yesterday’s stats: 1254 Calories In / 2742 Calories Out. 23 Net Carbs. 16,127 Total Steps & 6.82 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 43 minutes which is UNHEARD OF for me! I did rigorous cabin cleaning for 92 minutes after check-outs & I took a 34 minute very brisk walk to offset that pizza from Saturday night.
07/16 …..194.2 ….. All together now…..Hip Hip Horray!!! I haven’t ended this low since back in March & early April just prior to my sister passing away. Yesterday I decided to knock on a new neighbors door down the road. She appears to be about my age & to live alone. She is always puttering in her yard & gardens. I decided to brave it and ask her if she’d like to go on the 1 ½ mile walk I’ve mapped out in my neighborhood. She said yes. It was a wonderful walk & we plan on doing it more regularly. I’m so glad I took the chance! A new friend & walking partner! Yesterdays stats: 1265 Calories In / 2735 Calories Out. 14,225 Total Steps & 6.02 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 5 hours & 17 minutes. I walked 46 minutes with friend at a moderate pace. I walked 23 minutes at a brisk pace alone in rougher terrain. I rigorously cleaned cabins for 76 minutes.
07/17 …..194.4 ….. Just a normal fluctuation. Potty trouble. Dr. appointment went well, but clearly she wants my weight back down. AIC was 8.9 which is way up from my lowest weight last year after loss. I’ve been given the warning, lose the weight I gained over winter, or add back the 4 extra diabetic pills I was taken off last year (I still take metformin). So I must be diligent. Yesterdays stats: 1389 Calories In / 2313 Calories Out. 48 Net Carbs. 12,150 Total Steps & 5.15 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 3 hours & 50 minutes but woke up refreshed & ready to work! I took a 34 minute moderately paced walk & I did 21 minutes on the elliptical. Today will be another good day. I am going to see if my new neighbor wants to take a longer walk with me in the neighborhood again.
07/18 …..194.2 ….. Hanging in there & following plan. Another walk with my new walking partner/neighbor. She’s very excited about the opportunity to do it and not be alone! I’m sure that the extra walk in the neighborhood (1 ½ miles) will be a frequent thing. Yesterday’s stats: 1381 Calories In / 2778 Calories Out. 28 Net Carbs as I try to increase my fiber. 15,428 Total Steps & 6.53 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours and 19 minutes. I took a 34 minute walk & I rigorously cleaned motel & cabins for 68 minutes. We are expecting thunderstorms today. I want to get out & walk but I have to wait for my arriving guests. I hope to fit it in before the rain. If not, I’ll be dancing inside & hoping for no interruptions (unless someone wants to rent a cabin ). @MadisonMolly2017 Aw Shucks!
07/19 …..194.6 ….. I might have had a thick slice of banana chocolate chip bread which was sliced thick enough to look like one piece but was likely more like two. Otherwise, a spot on day. Egg roll in a bowl for dinner. Yesterday’s stats: 1877 Calories In / 2765 Calories Out. Approximately 70 Net Carbs. 15,200 Total Steps & 6.39 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 21 minutes which was very nice. I walked for 31 minutes with my neighbor at a very brisk pace. I cleaned cabins at a moderate pace, light effort for 48 minutes because the two cabins that checked out were thankfully not slobs. It is going to be extremely hot here today for our area. We’ll see how the exercise goes. Have a great weekend everyone!
07/20 …..194.6 ….. Holding steady but I feel like I’m holding water. Yesterday was blistering hot. No AC in the home or business because it is not usually needed here. Too hot to go outside to walk. I stayed on plan and had a good Hot day. Yesterday’s stats: 1368 Calories In / 2132 Calories Out. 29 Net Carbs. 10,507 Total Steps & 4.19 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 3 hours & 14 minutes. I took a short walk around the property for 14 minutes in the very late evening. I worked on my own housecleaning at a moderate easy pace for 53 minutes. Total extra calories burned 270. Tomorrow is the birthday party for my DGS. Unfortunately I will be starting the new round up, more than likely. However, I am beginning to accept that these occasions are going to happen all the time and that I’ve got to make decent choices, increase exercise and cut a few carbs & calories around these events to mitigate the damage. I need a life plan for life events. Mentally, I really am getting there.
07/21 …..195.4 ….. End of round self-sabotage. However, I did end the round lower than the start so that is a bit of a win. Today brings on new challenges. It is my oldest DGS’s 13th birthday. A teenager! Big party including BBQ at the lake. My beginning weigh-in next round will likely be up. I also have some travel next round for business. I hate when I have to spend an entire round catching up on the scale, and with travel expected, catching up may be very difficult. Keeping my chin up. I will make more small changes on the days at home to mitigate the damage! That’s the plan! But I am disappointed on how my evening went yesterday including a restaurant. Yesterday’s stats: 1929 Calories In / 2756 Calories Out. 88 Net Carbs. 11,833 Total Steps & 5.01 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 11 minutes and am very very tired this morning, on such a big party day and work day too. I took a 23 minute walk yesterday & did general housecleaning & yard work for 77 minutes. I burned a total of 400 extra calories in that extra movement. Great job to everyone who achieved their goals this round. I’ll see you all around the corner!

My highest weight was 197# at 5’4”. I’m 48 years old.
I was 189# when I first started keto, and had gotten down to 150# before I let life interrupt me.
7/12 - 165.5 - Today I am 165.5#, including all the swelling. 😒
7/13 - 163.5 - the swelling must be going finally, or something. I figure if I eat basically what my mom (@quiltingjaine) eats, I will surely be around my macros/calories. It’s hard being down & dependent when I’m used to doing everything for myself & others.
7/14 - 163 - it’s POD#5 and time to try to be more active. We’re going to drive to the pool today and I’m going to relax in the sun and hopefully make a couple laps around the pond. I’m feeling quite weak from this lazying around.
7/15 - 164 - POD#6 got a little sunburn yesterday. The popcorn from 2 nights ago has caught up. Cleaning it up today and resting a little more, but laundry can’t wait anymore. Lol! Just have to keep trying and stay focused.
7/16 - 163 - POD#7 and a little step back recovery wise, but better numbers. Laundry may have been too much. Having a craving for something I can’t identify, or everything junky. Just trying to stay strong.
7/17 - 164.5
7/18 - 164
7/19 - 162.5 - POD#10 - I started tracking again yesterday and I finally made progress. I’m still having lots of munchies and feeling hungry frequently. Baby steps. The 150’s are getting close.
7/20 - 161.5 - POD#11 - had an adult beverage last night and my ketones were way down, but my sugar wasn’t up, and down another pound. Tracking helps!
7/21 - 161 - POD#12 - still having the munchies & feeling hungry, but I think it may have to do with not being as active as normal because I’m still recovering. More baby steps.
Average weight - 163.259 -
Female, age 54, 5'4 1/2"
First Time - starting late, but really need to get on track!

07/15 126# Let my guard down this weekend not sure if it was food or wine that waylaid my path...
07/16 124.8 Still having trouble managing my calories during the day, but instead of over was under 200 last night so had a smoothie/dessert-very nice. Ate the well yesterday, no alcohol and think I loss water weight built up from the weekend. Great now to be on track.
07/17 124.8- Hopefully not many TOM's left but alas still like clockwork. Since have not been tracking previously thru TOM, I should be happy I stayed the same weight. Bummer part is I ate almost the same calories as day before- expected just a little loss.
07/18
07/19- 123.6 Nice way to start super hot (literally 110 heat index) weekend. look forward to a glass of wine but still need to keep on track.
07/20 -125 Had Sam's club sushi and wine last night was very busy driving my daughter all over town (actually my daughter was driving and her first time on the bypass- stress level thru the roof), haven't drank all week so feeling it this morning. My son surprised me with a visit. So just grabbed a quick easy dinner but hard to figure out the calories and wonder if the sodium was very high.
07/21- 125 Honestly great for the weekend. Saw 123 Friday, so I know that that weight is doable. Look forward to doing the whole todays and not ending on the weekend when I tend to relax and cooking with my husband though fun is impossible to measure.9 -

OSW 382.0
RSW 312.0
My goal for this round is to get out of the 310s and stay on track with my food and fitness plans.
07/12 312.0 I’m happy that I’m not up from all the activity yesterday. I did 2 sets of a bodyweight workout minus planks and I got in 10k steps. I’m feeling it all today so I’m going to take it easy today. My nsv was hitting 10k steps!
07/13 311.2 I’m still feeling the other day and I’m having a flare up of my MS. I have a plan in place and I’m not going to use it as an excuse to sit around and eat. I’m going to try to do little bits of activity as I can throughout the day.
07/14 311.6 I managed strength training yesterday and I was a bit high in sodium and carbs, plus a little later of a night and then earlier morning.
07/15 310.4 I got in decent steps yesterday by doing several short walks as I felt like I could. I’m having to use my cane, but I’m not beating myself up about it. I have a plan in place for the next week because we’ll be at about 100 before any heat index, which usually brings it up around 105-110. I hope to get a few walks today because the weather is going to be nice.
07/16 310.4 I got in a number of walks yesterday thanks to the slightly cooler weather and ended up a little over 10k in steps. I’m still having to use my cane and I’m not the fastest walker right now but that’s okay, I’m just happy to be out walking. The rest of this week I’m mostly staying inside because of the excessive heat , but I can use a lower activity day or two.
07/17 309.8 I’m hopeful that this sticks and that I continue to move downward.
07/18 308.6 I’m now below the goal that I set for the month. I don’t know why I’m surprised though, I’ve been on track with everything. My new goal is to get to 299, I anticipate that I’ll see that in about 2-3 rounds if all goes well. I had a really nice rest day yesterday and I tried out a new recipe. I had no idea that vegan, paleo brownies could taste so good.
07/19 307.8 I’m a little surprised by this drop. I did strength training yesterday so I expected to be a little up or maintain.
07/20 307.8 I’m not surprised that I maintained after having a few days of drop. My nsv is from this morning. We’re having a bit of a rough morning here so my husband went out to get donuts and instead of just giving up and binging from the stress I worked my day around the treat. If I stay with my plan I will still be on track for the day. In the past a combination of a stressful morning and donuts would have equaled a binge.
07/21 307.6 Wow it’s the end of the round already. I have another nsv from yesterday. Part of my morning stress was needing to clean up a mess of milk, cereal, and glass that had been dropped near the fridge. So I’m trying to get this mess up while my previously tight shorts kept trying to fall down. All of my shorts are now loose and I’m hopeful of finding some lighter long pants that will last me through the rest of summer and the warm part of fall.

end weight from round 82 -- 145.8
heaviest was June 16 --153.4...that day I came up with a new plan, and here we are..thank you for this forum! I will achieve my goal and I will maintain it once there.
goal this round; 1.5 lbs less
end goal: 125
GOAL: Be AWARE of my food choices...
WHY ---do I choose what I choose
WHEN --do I choose the food I choose
HOW ---do those choices impact your weight and fitness goals? The understanding of these questions should be enlightening to help me make better future decisions and change patterns of behavior
3rd round for me. This is a great way to keep in touch with others with similar goals. I'm 49 yo female Canadian expat living in Central America. Good luck all for to continuing the journey to all our goals. On 6/25 I decided to give up alcohol for a month, partly to help with weight loss, but who am I kidding...lol I need a etoh break anyways. So, I'm doing my exercise, mindful choices with food, and haven't had etoh in 26 days.

7/13 142.6 carbs-146, protein 66, cal 1486 made home-baked meatballs with homemade sweet/sour sauce, was not even that good...lol i had fresh pineapple, and should have blended it to make pina juice, instead i subbed orange juice, which was too sour...and all the carbs, yikes. up side to the carbs, i have tonnes of energy this morning, i'll use for workout, and yard work.

7/21 143.6...
***to recap- start 145.8 end 143.6 = 2.2lbs Yeah...lets keep on rolling right into the next 10 day challenge. I am surprised and pleased how effective this accountability has been for me. June 16 weighed 153.4 so in about 5 weeks down about 10 lbs. I must say not drinking etoh has helped with this. So..well, now decisions...I was doing a 30 day etoh 'experiment'. Do I risk my success in weightloss if I end the experiment...or do i continue the 'experiment' until i reach my weight goal? Umm, not sure yet...keep you posted8 -

07/15- DNW - Not sure what my weight has been these past few days. I've been at my boyfriend's house and his scale is wack so I don't trust it. Did a lot of walking at the OC Fair on Saturday, but had fried things so hope I didn't gain back all that weight I lost last round. Also had some more sugary things which I'm regretting. Today's lunch is going to be a poke salad and half a Trader Joe's chicken wrap. I've been dealing with a horrible migraine since yesterday that isn't going away so I feel like crap. And I have a dental apt today so that's going to sucks too
07/16- 204.5- Yeah I messed up this weekend. Shouldn't have had the beers and heavy foods, but happy I didn't go up as much as I thought I did. Next dental apt isn't until the end of the month, so I have some time to take care of myself. Goal is to get in the gym today or go for a walk and do some meal prepping.
07/17- 203.9- Making some better choices lately and trying to drink more water.

I'm sorry to hear that, Im sure that you will find love when the time is right, the right person will love you for being you no matter what your size and good luck with your thesis - at least you can see the end in sight there xx.5 -
@TerriRichardson112 Enjoy your holiday! See you in Round 85
@MBabydoll Congratulations on 4# GONE in this round! Tracking and being accountable does make a difference. Even if you only post your weight you are being accountable. It takes only seconds. I love you! You can do this.4 -
JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 83 (round 15 for me ) I'm in for another round, still need to get back to end of round 76 weight ! Must stop messing about !!
Female age 61 5' 4”

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
7/11 123.0
7/12 121.0 WTH?? Happy new round to me?? Got daughter home from hospital, meds picked up at pharmacy and I think last night was a good night. Not sure why I’m losing. I’ve been eating.
7/13 121.0 It was a good day, I think. We didn’t do much of anything. LOL We had zucchini pizza boats for dinner-I modified the recipe because we are pretty much OMAD, and added extra protein. DGS works at the movie theater and we asked him to bring us a small buttered popcorn. I haven’t had popcorn in almost 2 years. The first bite was MEH but after that it really was delish. I hope I haven’t openers a Pandora’s box!
7/14 121.0
7/15 121.5 Pool (she can’t get in), walk, and Mazzio’s salad bar yesterday. Up 0.5, probably that popcorn rearing it’s ugly head! Oh well.
7/16 122.0 Pretty sure this is still the popcorn. @Mbabydoll and I did all of the laundry- 4 loads. Her washer is huge! She took a picture of me trying to reach the bottom of the tub. And fancy so I loaded and moved laundry and she pushed the buttons! LOL We had Green Chile and Chicken Mock Enchilada Casserole around noon and a salad later in the day.
7/17 121.5 We ran a couple of errands yesterday. Today we’ll go to Starbuck’s and the pool if her pink has faded.
7/18 123.5 No TMI x2 days. It was a hot, humid walk to and from the pool yesterday and I was wiped out. I miss my dry heat. Another high heat advisory for today. UGH.
7/19 123.0 Still no TMI but I’m gurgling.
7/20 122.0 TMI Success! 4L+ of water. General Tso’s Meatballs from ibreatheimhungry for dinner. Very good, will definitely make them again.
7/21 121.0. Keto meatloaf and broccoli last night. Delish! I could have eaten more but was being strong.5 -

Hi. My name is Trina. I've been back on MFP for a year now, am down 67 pounds and just 4 pounds from my revised goal weight! A year ago, this seemed like a pipe dream! Trying to settle in to slow weight loss on the way to maintenance!

7/12 - 132 Yay! Two days in a row! Dashed to the gym today for a step class, only to find out it was cancelled. The teacher had reminded us to check last week....but I forgot. Ran 3 miles on the treadmill instead. Then ate all my exercise calories and more at a delicious out to brunch with friends! Thought my son and I had fixed the washing machine yesterday (we sent a bum circuit board off to be repaired and re-installed it). It ran two loads and is failing again. Arghh!
7/13 - 132.5 A few extra carbs yesterday...frustration with the washing machine!
7/14 - 132.5 Weighed, but didn't post yesterday morning. Happy to see the same weight. Celebrated my son's birthday last night with cake, so higher carbs, but within budget! Zumba in the morning.
7/15 - 132.5
7/16 - 135 Neighborhood get together with friends. I'm assuming this is the result. Should have been well within calories, and not overly carby. Had two glasses of wine and snacks. Mostly cheese, tuna/chicken salad, a few crackers. Some sweets...but not excessive. And 2.5 hours of gym time!
7/17 - 134.5 I'm thinking some of the gain might be DOMS. Did walking lunges on Monday and my butt is still sore!
7/18 - 134 Down a bit more. Woke up super early to take my husband in for knee surgery, so didn't weigh at the usual time. Also ate too many caramel chocolate chip cookie squares yesterday. Luckily they are gone now!
7/19 - 132.5 So happy to see that that really was just a momentary blip up from DOMS and late night with neighbors! Did pushups today! New max of 12 in a row, full, on the floor!!
7/20 - 132 YAY! Back to my start weight. We will see if I get .5 tomorrow! Did zumba this morning and tried a cross fit class. I was pleasantly surprised with my ability to keep up as I had not done the class before!
7/21 - 130.5 Nice end to the round! Interesting journey this week, as it's the first time in 10 days below start weight. I kind of have a lose, lose, go up, go down....lose lower pattern though. Onto the next round!
