Mon 15/07: 166.2: Goals: There are no excuses.I 😈 choose instant gratification over sensible eating at a family buffet yesterday. I haven't done that for some time. It did not go unpunished. My new healthy body rebelled big time. I spent an wretched evening feeling bloated and uncomfortable, with an extra big a big kick up the a** when I stepped on the scale this morning. Now, I know I haven't put on 2lbs of weight overnight, (though I may well have with the food I ate), and a lot of it is probably be water weight. But enough is enough, and too much is just plain daft. We all do daft things from time to time. The trick is to put it behind you and move on. I am choosing to have a few reset days of light eating to see if I can redress my blowout yesterday. Though if the truth be told, I have been sliding most of the week. I know this is only a blip. Nothing gets in my way when I'm on a mission.Goals: ✅ Later: Noticed I had the wrong date for my post this morning, so I’ve fixed it. Hopefully back on track.

Sydney is fairly new, and very nervous, and we haven't really got to know him until this week. DH is the doggie person in our house, but Sydney won't go near him, so I'm it! Worse than having a toddler in the house.

Thu 11/07: 163.6: Goals: ✅ I was quite disappointed with this result until I noticed my muscle %age has increased since last week. I have been working hard on lower body strength for a couple of weeks. Also yesterday, DH asked me if I had lost weight again. It just goes to show that Progress isn't always about the scale dropping. Looking forward to the next round, and making more progress! 😂Food

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

08/01 134.0 Back from a conference trip with lots of eating out and drinking (and let the food logging slip because was afraid to count up the calories, but realize that is how it is so easy to derail and not get back on). First day back after long day of flying yesterday and weight is up 2.2 pounds from last weigh in on the 27th so not my best start to a round. I tend to gain a lot of water weight flying and expect I will get back to where I was before the trip pretty quickly but may need 2 more rounds to get to STG of getting into the 120's. Felt great to get back to the gym - step class and weights today (which may not help with water retention either!) but was able to increase weights on bench press, deadlifts and squats so trip did not seems to have an impact on strength! NSV: At least I am below the weight MFP predicted based on food diary for today!
08/02 133.4 Starting to go back in the right direction! Back in the <10 pounds to get to the healthy weight category. Pushed cardio at the gym this am - latin dance class, abs on my own, and then spin class and looks like calories are on track for today, so hoping to get to where I was last round in the next few days.
08/03 133.9 well not quite the right direction...
08/04 132.7 I'll take it! Steady progress for losing conference/travel gain and almost back to low from last round (need to lose another 0.9 lbs). Calories are under for day, and did weights and elliptical so should have an overall deficit for the day. Did increase weight on bench press, squat and deadlifts and feeling some soreness so may not see a drop tomorrow if there is water retention with muscle recovery, but it will come in time!!!
08/05 131.8 Whoot whoot! back to lowest weight from last round and have erased travel gain! Cardio day - did step class in the morning and then back after work for spin class. Under on calories so far, so hoping to stay on track for rest of the round. (of course I will not be surprised if there is an increase tomorrow given the nonlinear ups/downs of weight loss).
08/06 130.5 Woohoo! This was unexpected, and likely water/glycogen loss from the double cardio yesterday (am and then pm so time to recover), since CICO would suggest a much more modest 1/3 pound drop - but not complaining! Hope that I can keep it until the end of the round, but whooshes like this take some time to stick so will not be at all surprised if it is up tomorrow. Sushi dinner with a good friend from out of town so will bank calories during the day to enjoy dinner (hopefully sodium won't be a killer). Plan to do weights and spin class at the uni gym later, to stay on track as exercise over the next few days may be limited due to travel.
08/07 130.9 Totally expected after a dramatic drop over the last several days (plus had sushi and soy sauce last night so water weight is probably a factor - but totally worth it!). Thrilled though that weight is still in the 130.x's for now, and in terms of trends I seem to be back on track. Out of town the next 2 days so will not weigh in but will track food. Turns out the gym in town has a $10 day pass, so I may try to go to the Zumba class after dropping the girls off at camp and then hit the weights (DH said that they had decent equipment). NSV: Had to put on old foul weather gear (bought in 2004) as we get caught out in a thunderstorm on the water, and was pleasantly surprised that it was too big, even though I still weigh more now than I did then. The weight training has really helped with body composition along the way.
08/08 DNW OoT For a town of 900 people (and a lot of retirees) the gym here is pretty nice! Got in full weight routine including barbells for bench press and deadlifts with some improvisation, so on schedule for the week. The Zumba instructor was on holiday this week, but did try their yoga class for stretching (I really should do more of that for balance as well as strength to complement the other workouts). Thunderstorms in the afternoon so nice and steamy now that the sun is back out, so will skip bike riding for cardio. Maybe tomorrow morning or more likely I'll go back to the gym and air conditioning for an elliptical workout in the morning now that AirPods are charged again. (ideally I could ride bike to gym) Looking forward to having local shrimp or crab for dinner (or both :-)

08/01: 137.6 lbs - well, not the right direction for the start but I'm still feeling good about getting to the round goal of 135.0 lbs. Lots of working out yesterday but I also ate a bunch of crap. Back on track today!
08/02: 136.8 lbs - I've been sort of eating crap the last few days. Sometimes I just need to give in and then get back on the horse. It's out of my system and it stops now.
08/03: 137.4 lbs - Looks like this is my new fluctuating spot for now. Slow and steady, right?

08/05: 137.2 lbs - I should be happy since I've been eating horribly for about a week and this number isn't any higher. I "think" TOM is coming, would explain the chocolate and carb cravings. The good news is once I get the eating back where it should be, the weight will start coming off again. And if I don't go up too much during this binge, it'll be a nice drop. Heading out to work out for a couple hours and then will follow that up with a protein shake. Writing it here so I actually do it . Got my steps in yesterday but that was about it.

08/01 187.2 – Off to a good start with a nice little drop. Busy morning, so I only had time for coffee before class. On the way home, I stopped for gas and then at the farm stand to pick up a few pots of zinnias to refresh the garden beds. I was ravenous by the time I got to my mom’s for lunch. Fortunately, I had some extra calories to spend. Goals met today!
08/02 187.2 – Got a lot accomplished in the house and garden before I got on the road. So it was another busy morning, but this time I made sure to have a decent breakfast so I’d be less tempted by all the high-calorie rest stop offerings. BBQ for dinner, but I stayed under my calorie limit and met all my goals again today.
08/03 No scale – Having a wonderful time visiting family for our traditional summer crab feast. A bit over on calories and a lot over on salt, but I know I can get back on track and deal with a bounce in the week ahead.
08/04 No scale – Wrapped up a lovely weekend with a long ride home. Too much salt and not enough water, but I managed to just stay under my calorie limit. Back to work (and the daily weigh-ins) tomorrow morning!
08/05 187.8 – Okay, there’s that post-weekend bump. I’ve got my work cut out for me this week. Worked for an hour or so in the garden after class but didn’t get much done in the house. I’ve got papers to grade and a quiz to make up tonight, so it’s going to be a long one.
08/06 187.2 – Better. Met my goals today, but I still have a ton of stuff to do before the end of the week. Thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow, so I’ll focus on finishing up some of the indoor stuff and hope the garden gets a good soaking.
08/07 186.4 – The rain did indeed water the garden. We got over 2 inches! Heavy thunderstorms all day brought some wind, but thankfully the power stayed on. Met my goals, but I’m feeling a little burnt out and unfocused. Just need to make one last push to finish the grading and then get some sleep. Last day of classes tomorrow, and then I’m off through Labor Day!
08/08 186.0. – Another nice little drop, building my confidence that, yes, I can stay on track even when things get hectic. Taking a bit of time to log my food and post here really helped me keep my goals in mind. Now that classes are done, I can relax a bit and enjoy my company this weekend. Well under my calorie limit the last couple of days (too busy to spend much time on meals) so maybe that will give me a little wiggle room for sangria this weekend

08/05 393.4 - Well the last 10-day challenge, I thought I had lost over 12 pounds and boy was I dead wrong!! I guess I wanted to be fooled. 😂 I knew I was not doing that great. But my scale said I was losing weight. So silly me even though I was eating fast food, too many points, etc. I thought those 7000 steps was making a difference. Deep down I knew it was unbelievable and too good to be true. But when you want to believe the unbelievable you go with it! So Saturday when I went to weigh in 🙄 the fantasy was over! Instead of the 12 lbs I thought I lost, it was really a 3.4 gain. So I told the lady that can't be right. So she said get on the scale again and of course the weight was the same. So I knew I had let myself be fooled. Because I knew their scale was not wrong and mines was. so, the lady felt bad for me and she said you probably need to change the battery in your scale. So I felt deflated, mad at myself, so many emotions.
But I did not have time to wallow because the cleaning man was coming over to help with phase 2 of my de-clutter program! Success. This lifted my spirits because I know this project is a win win and will help me with my weight goals. He put all the cloths from my Mom in piles. He organized everything. I could see my floor in my living room. We threw away stuff. I threw away some more stuff on Sunday. I have 2 more bags to throw in the garbage chute. I plan to do a bag every other day. I had to clean out my closet some in order to hang up my clothes I am keeping. It was uplifting and I have the cleaning bug now and I am loving it. It was over whelming at 1st but now with 2 visits under my belt from cleaning services I can do some things myself. Eventually I am going to do some remodeling etc. This is going to my gift to me a makeover for my condo, so I have a peace, organized place to want to come home to in the evenings. I am cutting the TV off and limiting computer time too.
So this week I'm going to really get back on track eating too. And I did change the batteries and went back to my trusty app to see where the wonky weight lost numbers started and deleted them. I re-adjusted the last 10-day challenge to 2 lbs lost. I started this challenge with my weight after I had changed the batteries which showed the 3.2 gain. It is never exact with WW but always close. I am good now. I have dusted off my fanny and ready to keep on going forward. Setbacks are normal. Once again shows me why I need a human check in because I can get into self-denial and my own worst enemy.
08/06 392 Yesterday was ok. I got in my 7000 steps and my eating was ok. Not perfect but satisfactory. Today not going good so far but I am logging it. I was too pooped to do any cleaning last night so I will have to hit it tonight. Have a great evening Everyone! :flowerforyou: I think I may have gained too much to get a loss in by Saturday. I may just have to shoot for a maintain. But maybe I can get in at least a pound. I have 4 days! lol and weigh in at WW is Friday. I can't sweat it. I don't like to put too much pressure on myself.

08/08 NWI – I stayed at hotel last night. Very nice. Yesterday was not good. I got back on track today. But I feel the damage may be a gain tomorrow. I did not get steps in yesterday. I got in my water today and yesterday. I will get in my steps today and doing a salad for dinner. I got my 1st imperfect produce box yesterday. I am hoping this will make me eat more veggies and salads. The stuff was great so far!! For organic I think it is worth it. I found some coupons on line. 2 more days and praying for a maintain at least this challenge 😊

I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. 08/02- didn't weigh. Logged all foods and did bbod day 1. Did go out for a date night and had a few drinks with a big supper. But ate very light prior to. It was the first time in 2 years my hubby and I had a real date night. 🤷♀️
08/03- didn't weigh. Did day 2 bbod. Logged all foods. Feeling very motivated.
08/04- 180.2. Wow, I hope today's weight wasn't a fluke and it sticks! Did day 3 bb workout and ate well.

8/1 - 212.7 Water weight from the vacation is starting to go. I am still bloated from all of the foods I ate on vacation that I was sensitive to. I am very proud of myself for how quickly I got back to my normal eating and I haven't let the vacation derail the habits I had prior to going on vacation. Goal for today is a lot of water. Trainer tonight.
8/2 -212.3 Still losing vacation water weight, but I am also sore from my workout yesterday. Happy that I was able to get 98g of protein in yesterday and I did not snack a lot considering yesterday was my first day back at work after three weeks off and I had a lot of things to catch up with. Still getting over jet lag, but at least I woke up at 3am today instead of 1am, hopefully I will be over the jet lag over the weekend. My goal today is to keep getting my water in and to not stress eat. Today is a rest day.
8/3 -211.8 This morning I went out for my first run in over 3 weeks and it felt great...2 miles done. Got 122 g of protein yesterday. Still sore from my weight training from 2 days ago. Yesterday evening I realized that I was mindlessly snacking, that is something I need to work on. Going to see my nutritionist today.
8/4 -212.3 Feeling bloated today. Knee is sore, I assume it's from my run yesterday. I may go to the gym today, but it depends on how my knees feel after I do some foam rolling and stretching.

Hi all, this is my third round and excited to see where this next round takes me. I first started my MFP journey in 2015. I dropped down to 138 pounds and went into maintenance. I was fine for awhile until my world went crazy and exercise was no longer a priority. After putting on over 20 pounds, I got back to working out and calorie counting diligently. I have IBS and no gallbladder, so I stick to a low fat diet. I am also hypothyroid which makes losing weight at times challenging. I keep on trucking because the pot of gold at the end of 🌈 is health and an increased life expectancy.

08/01 127.2lbs. Weight is up from yesterday, but I refuse to stress over it unless the scale goes up ten pounds or something crazy. I got my strength training in and will take a walk to end my day. Lesson I’m learning: don’t sweat the small gains.
08/02 127lbs. Today was my rest day. Did a short step aerobic workout and made sure my protein intake was good. I’m starting to like what lifting weights is shaping my body into; really keeps me motivated.
08/03 127lbs. Today was 🥵 hot!! I got my workout 🏋️♀️ in early and walked to my doctors and the grocery store. I ate smaller frequent meals so I could have enough calories for the day (eating less is so easy in the summer). My calories have been too low on hotter days. I than turned on my fan and took a nap. Goal for this next week: meal prep and pack snacks for jury duty to get in my calories and protein.
08/04 127lbs. I almost didn’t want to train today. Unless I am walking, I train early. Today, my sister surprised me and we went out shopping during my usual workout time. By the time we got back, the thought of working out seemed exhausting. I forced myself to do it anyways and feel energetic from my lifting session. I was even able to keep up with my protein intake with careful food selection with lunch and snacks I now keep in my purse. Hopefully, the rest of the week goes this well.
08/05 126.8lbs. Woke up early and got in a good weight lifting workout. Food was on the low side of ok. My calorie intake is kinda low but part fear of an IBS attack and part habit and part 🥵 makes it hard to eat more. Greek yogurt and protein snacks have been helpful. Yesterday I bought a foam roller for muscle soreness and recovery and it is one of the best fitness investments I ever made. If anyone struggles with muscle soreness and wants to speed up recovery, foam rollers are a game changer.
08/06 128.2lbs. I weighed late today, so I’m not sure 🤔 how accurate that weight is. Today was my first day of jury duty and it was a looong day of sitting around. I fell asleep 💤 a few times. I did ok with food and walked during breaks. I came home and did some recovery yoga 🧘♂️ and foam rolling because: Stiff muscles+sitting for hours sucks.
08/07 126.5lbs. I officially now have two weeks of jury duty (it’s kind of cool doing my civic duty. Feels like I’m in one of favorite court shows). It’s totally throwing off my schedule; there is not enough hours in the day to get everything done. I’m exhausted 😩 and debating whether to workout with the little time I have left tonight. Ah life and it’s throwing of curve balls...

08/07: 210! Three days in a row! I will drink more water today & be more active to see a little more movement on the scale
08/08: 208.6. A tiny whoosh. Happy to be rid of it. I might even meet my goal this round.
08/09: 207.4. Great day yesterday. One little snack of celery. I didn’t sleep well, so hopefully that improves. I will have another great on-track day and hopefully keep this good loss.

08/05 – 190.0 - starting again. I’ve gained 5 pounds, but kept 10 off. I’ll be working on C25K three days a week. Signing up for a 5K on Oct. 26.
08/06 – 188.9 – good start. Recorded all food, no alcohol, drank all my water, and did first day of C25K.
08/07 – 187.6 – so excited. I’m sure this won’t continue as fast, but I need to keep recording. No exercise yesterday, but I did stand more at my desk.
08/08 – 187.0 – Getting back down to where I was a few months ago. Recorded all food, no alcohol, drank all my water, and did the second day of C25K.
08/09 – 187.8 – was afraid of this. Recorded all my food, drank all my water, and didn’t have alcohol, but didn't exercise and eat out. Made better choices about food, but not the best.

08/04—158.4 Went on a hike in the mountains for 2.5 hours. Logged all my food and had no sweets.

08/06–-156.4 Worked out at the gym in the first time since warm weather. I’d just gotten too sedentary other than walking the dog, so I bit the bullet and went. Did some HIIT elliptical and a circuit training session. It felt good!
08/07—157.2 It’s these natural fluctuations that are hard to deal with when you weigh daily. Yesterday was a good day, but it doesn’t show here today. But, I know it’s just part of the process. Just gotta keep that trend line going down and be mentally tough.
08/08—156.2 Now if it will just hold. I’d like to drop another half pound by tomorrow, but I’ll take this for the round if I can get it to stay. Won’t be at a scales on 8/10, so tomorrow will be my last weigh in for this round.

08/07 – 143 – Yesterday was a fluke because I had a fasting (including water) medical test yesterday so I slept in as late as possible. 08/01: 161 (0.0) No change there... Not feeling too good lately, the rheumatologist has added an extra drug for the next 6 months and I know from past experience that it'll be hard going with weight loss this medication makes me nauseous and I get the munchies at the same time with it. I've changed to goals to just sticking to my recommended calorie intake for this round.
08/02: 161 (0.0) Another Status Quo, I think I'm at a plateau which is going to be hard to break through as I'm not doing as much exercise for the moment! Tomorrow, if all goes well, I'll try some static aerobic and that'll be my goal for tomorrow with the 1200 cal intake
08/03: 161 (0.0) Still status quo, a bit frustrating. I did go over by 100 yesterday when I nibbled on carrots at 10 pm but I was starving lol Today's another day, I'm still sick so taking it easy. I'm not expecting any miracles for tomorrow I will try and get my water in though!
08/04: 161 (0.0) same weight for the 4th day, that number is digging it's heals in! Yesterday all I did was sleep anyway so I couldn't have used up much energy. Did stay in my 1200 cal. About the same today as still sick and I need to get into shape for work tomorrow.

08/06: 160.4 (-0.6) At last, although I think my scales have issues, it's brand new but anyway... I'm happy with this result, I hope now that I might be able to get to my CGW this time. I went for a short run/walk yesterday and it did me good, although it was - I have to admit - really painful I'm more determined than before to loose weight as I think it'll help with my RA and I might be able to stop taking this second medication
08/07: 160.4 (0.0) Yesterday was a quiet day, it's becoming quite routine to stick to the 1200 cal allocated, although I hope I don't get bored with it, I don't often vary my meals. Today I'm planning on a walk/run this evening if I have time. I've started the Couch 2 5k program. I used to run a lot when I was younger, I don't remember it being this painful
08/08:159.4 (-1.0) wohooo I didn't expect that loss ! I stayed within my 1.200 cal and went for a 30min run/walk yesterday evening to try out my new running shoes, I really enjoyed this run. I feel very self conscious with people looking at me trudging along as I run in town. Next run planned Saturday! I hope this loss will stick till the end of this round !

08/01 - 238.2 - minus a pound from yesterday and feeling good about this round! Pretty decent on eating (went to happy hour with some colleagues last night and had a couple of glasses of wine) and continuing today, really want to stay under my calorie goal.
08/02 - 238.6 - I don’t even know 🤷🏾♀️ will do an at home workout today; planned my meals for the day... just going to keep trying to make each day as good as or better than the one before... can’t give up.
08/03 - 235.7 - yay movement!! Heading to the gym then out and about. Making it my mission to stick to the plan this weekend!
08/04 - 235.3 - stayed down! Don’t expect any negative movement tomorrow due to lazy weekend with some cheats thrown in.
08/05 - 236.3 - expected a bounce off of the weekend; not going to lose my mind over it (trying not to!!!!!!!); Did not make it to the gym yesterday but DO plan on doing an at-home workout and will hit the gym in the morning before work! If I can end this 10-days under 235 I will be soooo happy!
08/06 - 236.6 - heading to a concert tonight; it’s at a restaurant so will make a healthy choice for my meal. I am down 2.6lbs this round, keeping that front of mind!
08/07 - DNW - mostly intentionally; but was also running late this morning and outside of my routine so it was easy to stay away from the scale haha; haven’t made the best choices today but still within my calorie limit and determined to finish the day strong (just going to make it a bit of an uphill battle for myself this evening); about to do an at home workout before dinner.
08/08 - 238.1 - definitely in a place where daily weighing may be counter productive - hard to feel good about making better decisions and being consistent these past several weeks when the scale literally refuses to go in the right direction. Heading to the gym, will fight hard today to not let this ruin my day.
08/09 - 235.7 - definitely was fighting a freak out yesterday but really happy to see the scale stop hating me 😂 will do an at home workout today since I over-slept my gym alarm this morning. Ate okay yesterday; at a deficit and under my daily goal but made some questionable choices throughout the day; want to be on point today, that’s my goal.

08/01 - 200.4 - Been sitting at ~200 for weeks now. Eat a pretty consistent 2300 calories 5-6 days a week and do quite a bit of HIIT cardio + lifting.

8/1 No Scale Didn't exercise yesterday but I should have time tonight. I did stay within calories and not too bad on sodium - even got in more water than I normally do on travel days. Probably won't exercise tomorrow unless the weather cooperates enough to get in an evening walk after the four-hour drive. I'm enjoying my time with the BF. He's back on the road next week, so I will savor this time.
8/2 No Scale Walked/hiked three after work then went to dinner. It's very hard not to overeat at a tapas place with a Spanish boyfriend. He wants to try everything! I am not complaining just stating reality Obviously, I had to do some serious estimations when I logged it but I think I did ok. The good thing is you only eat half of anything and there are loads of veggies. My favorite were these fried plantains chips with black beans and chimichurri. I wish I knew the exact numbers on them, I'd go back just for those. Happy Friday everyone. Hug 'em if you got 'em
8/3 167.4 I’m fine with this. Driving yesterday and not exercising, eating at weird times, and this after spending two days eating every meal with a well-intentioned BF. I’m pretty happy today. I just finished walking 5 miles and I’m taking my recovering friend to lunch and grocery shopping.
8/4 169.0 WTH? It has to be water cause I didn't eat enough calories to gain 1.6 pounds overnight. It's just the roller coaster doing its thing.
8/5 169.0 OK, still the dang roller coaster. I walked 3 last night and had a mug cake for dessert after. That's 350 calories not enough to gain 1.6 pounds. Since I'm on the roller coaster, I suppose I have to roll with it. Gym or walking tonight??? Probably the gym since I didn't make it one-night last week. Let's take Monday by the horns.
8/6 168.1 Better. I did not go to the gym or walk. Too many errands after work, then it was too late to walk. I could have gone to the gym late but it literally just occurred to me. When I was done with everything at 8:00 it was too late to walk (it would be dark before I got done) but I could have taken my lazy butt to the gym. OK. Lesson learned. I had this idea in my head that I could only go to the gym after work. That's dumb. My gym is open 24 hours. Monday got the best of me yesterday, but Tuesday will be MINE!
8/7 169.0 Why oh Why must the roller coaster go up??? I'm sure it's sodium and weight lifting water retention. I just want to be down by the end of the round. I did go to the gym last night and if the rain slows down I'll walk on the trail tonight, if not I'll go to the gym with an indoor track. Better that than the dreadmill. It's rainy and cold here this morning. Despite my umbrella, the sideway rain soaked me on the walk from the car to the office. I literally had to dry my arms off with paper towels. The bottom foot of my pants are soaked along with the right leg. Workout clothes in the car, but not really bank attire
8/8 167.5 Feeling the wind in my hair as the coaster goes back down... I walked 3 miles, got a little overheated (stupid humidity). Had to stop at the store on the way home, legs felt like they weighed 1,000 pounds each. Heat and MS ain't no joke folks. I went home, my roommate cooked dinner, I ate and went to bed. When I woke up I felt great. Happily, it's cooled off and the high is only 78 for today. Hoping to walk between rain showers. Two days to see a loss in this Round. I am going to watch my sodium. Even if I don't hit my goal if I'm down I feel like I've accomplished something.
8/9 167.9 Remember how I said up there ^^^ that I'd stay away from sodium - that was a lie. Apparently. Today I swear I'm going to be mindful. My calories were under yesterday, I walked 3 miles, got a lot of sleep, and over 90 oz of water. The only reason I'm up is high sodium food choices. My NSV for the day is when I walked out to go to work today my roommate said you look skinny in that outfit. Now I know she's being kind because my size 14/16 *kitten* ain't skinny but I must be smaller
