Your gut was usually right, dont always listen to your "elders", their advice (and values) don't always translate to your generation.

    P.S. Buy apple

That thing you found in your mams pocket isn't lemon juice.
Its some sort of corrosive cleaner that she put into a lemon squeezy bottle, possibly stolen from work.
Don't not try and taste it! It will ruin your whole day.

Get something custom. Don’t choose one off the wall.

I’d tell younger me at just about every stage not to wish my life away. Yes, whatever it is seems hard now, but time already goes too fast and wishing things to happen quicker doesn’t do any good and may even cause regret when you’re a little older looking back. For example, wishing that sweet little baby would grow out of spitting up all over you all the time did not make him stop and now I miss that stage.
Unfortunately, younger me will not listen. Even current me has to remind herself of this advice almost daily.

Is that “Daniel-son” from The Karate Kid?

No. Daniel-son from Karate Kid is Johnny Cade from the Outsiders.

Any good? What is it about (no spoilers please)?

One of the best of all time. Have a look for yourself.

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086066/

I remember reading the book as a kid and I really liked it. Then as soon as I started the movie I realized I was pronouncing Socs wrong in my head the whole time and I couldn't watch the movie.

Don't tell me how they pronounce it, I read the book a buncha times but have never seen the movie

    Don't scroll up...or down

    Lol. The little things eh?

I couldn't get past it lol

I can’t get over the fact that Ralph Macchio was in others films beside The Karate Kid franchise. Thought he disappeared from the acting scene after KK.

Also I can’t believe that he is 57 years old.

You're still mostly correct. Outsiders came first.

You both are forgetting Karate Kid 2 & 3 and My Cousin Vinny.

Also the new 2018 TV show Cobra Kai: Decades after their 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament bout, a middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence find themselves martial-arts rivals again.

Technically I said the Karate Kid franchise ;)

What’s Cobra Kai like? Any good?

It is soooooo good. Seriously if you liked Karate Kid you’ll love it. Don’t let it being on YouTube throw you it’s top notch. Johnny is this sad anti hero and you get his back story. There’s also this weird social commentary on how we’ve made kids over sensitive and how maybe Cobra Kai is right. I can’t describe it and I can’t say enough about it. I was really surprised how great it was.

Cheers buddy. Is it just one season or longer?

Get used to it, it will be like that for the majority of your life.

    Don’t bother running away,
you only stay in Houston for a week then they haul your *** home anyway.
Besides, you marry him and have a great kid and a long marriage.

    To my college self:

If you really want to be something specific like a certain type of researcher, technician, psychologist, etc, it's totally possible for you. It might take a long time and you might go into a lot of debt, but you're smart enough and there are WAYS to achieve your goals besides relying on your parents or your own $7/hr job to pay for it. Don't be so afraid of failure and always take the safest path...it won't get you any special points later in life that you're supporting yourself now. Don't bother with the boys you date. Wait for someone of higher quality who you can really relate to.

I mean... younger me wouldn't listen anyway. Or current me, for that matter.

Okay, here's one: don't shotgun rum out of the bottle.

I'm only 18 but I feel like years are already passing me by. So I'd tell my younger self to still be kind but don't put others happyness before your own happiness.

Join the Cross country and track teams. Biggest regret. Didn’t start running until 2008. Year after HS graduation :(

    YES!

I feel this way about my hair, too. It's a lot longer and wavier than my profile pic which is from last year. But when I was a teen, I HATED it being really thick with just a slight natural wave. In the 90s everyone wanted sleek baby fine Alicia Silverstone hair or tight spiral curls. I love it when people ask me what type of styler I use to get big waves and it's my natural texture. Finally ok with it!

Nope, we just have a similar sense of nostalgia. And the same bad taste in the mouth for it.
