Fyi - this is not typical weight loss for me. I fluctuated between 131-128 for over 6 weeks. My weight loss has not been so nice, neat and linear as it appears. I've had fluctuations, plateaus, and regains like most people who have lost a lot of weight. I was 130 last Christmas, 146 on Valentine's Day, 135 on Easter and 142 in mid-May. That's what you call a hot mess 😆8 -

It seems that I need to burn at least 500 each day to see any kind of results. I rely on Zumba-esque type workouts to get the most burn for the time. Tomorrow is the multi-cultural festival in my town, so I hope to wake up to a good number before sampling the delicious international fare.
August 17 - 157.5 - I consumed 1700 calories yesterday! I did burn 600 calories through exercise, but I am pretty sure that I will show a gain once my slow metabolism catches up. I really need to eat 1200 calories or less and burn a minimum of 500 calories in order to lose any weight.

Thoughts: Bobbling a bit. Not too worried. I'm coming off an off week from the Fair and back to eating better. Was not feeling well yesterday and ate later than usual. My body and stomach appear to be in rebellion from the heat and Fair food, even though I indulged in moderation.

Relieved to rebound a bit - quick weight loss in the 120s scares me a bit.4 -
69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
Had back surgery June 18th. Just getting back into walking and controlling what goes in my mouth.

Yikes! To be expected since I ate 2200 calories yesterday and I spent most of the weekend sitting down in a car due to day travels. We had a fun weekend in Houston and it was worth the weight gain. No regrets.
I'm glad to report that we scheduled a walk on Sunday morning in Houston and we actually got up early before checkout, had breakfast and went outside. It's these kinds of changes that I want for us to keep up during our marriage.
I will still be happy to just be under 130 at the end of the month. Keep it up everyone!

Ok, so I know it's not all about the scale. I've kicked up my cycling and started light weight lifting. I gained slightly over the weekend despite staying under 1,200 and burning calories like crazy. It also doesn't help that I'm approaching that time of the month so either way I'm chucking it up to water retention due to hormones or the workout.
